Last October, the founder of Chaosium died. He had contributed to several iconic games published by Chaosium, including Runequest, Pendragon, and Call of Cthulhu, my favorite system. Chaosium released a group of free scenarios to be played in his memory.

I'd like to run the Call of Cthulhu scenario here. It is a simple story, meant to be completed in an hour or two around a table.

I'd particularly like to invite Call of Cthulhu neophytes or curious players. The scenario is written for four, but I could probably extend it to five or six.

Anyone interested? I'd like to kick it off by Hallowe'en. There are pre-gens available for a marine biologist, an artist, an antiques dealer, and a businessman. I could add a seaman and another academic, perhaps.

Bless you, Gaffer.  I have fond memories of Call of Cthulhu.  That game is the most fun I've ever had being scared to death for hours on end.

What's your expected rate of posting?

I usually ask for five or so posts each week, but I'm not rigid about it. What's important to me is that players check in to the game fairly often and contribute to keeping it moving. If their character has nothing  to add, and their silence isn't holding up the story, that's okay.

I also want them to let me know when they'll be unable to post for several days. I will post for them in such cases, as needed.
