Things that most inspire me to play the game:
- Alchemy
- Mutations (similar to Rippers rules)
- Runic Magic
- Hunted Mages
- Racism against non-human races
- Political intrigue
- Monsters that are more of a threat than coin purses for the heroes
The idea is that it's a fairly non-typical. I want to have high fantasy but I want it to have more of a horror element that makes it different. Monsters aren't something to be slaughtered but things that are challenging to the players.
I also want to have more social encounters which include things like social challenges which specifically force hard decisions.
I want magic to be more than casting spells and using points. I want there to be magic systems that are less about the person being a mage and more about how they use the magic. In essence their would be three levels of magic. Low - Alchemy, Strong - Runic, and True - Full-Blooded.
Would anyone be interested in something like this?
I would expect characters such as pirates, privateers, bounty hunters, monster-hunters, knights, paladins, etc.
