IC: B-Roll Call RPG (Playtest) [ADULT]

In the City of Silver Lake Bay on the Left Coast (But not California. Could be Washington, Oregon, or British Columbia) is a small Production company seeking D-Listers to make movies on next to no budget. I'm looking run an adult game that deals in the creation of films on both the filming side, and the production side that has a lot of meta features like Budget and Fame scores, Behind the Scenes sequences (on and off set activities) etc. The game is adult, because the manual has nudity and gore (no genitals or anything like that) and the the movies themselves may contain that as well, but there's likely to be some level of graphic language owing to the fact that it's me running it.

I'm looking for 4-5 players who are willing to submit two Actors fit for different genres (To reflect that actors in B movies aren't there because they can pick and choose films, they're just auditioning for whatever gets them money, and/or fame). Each player will use one of the actors. I may or may not use the other actor. I'm gonna let you know in advance I have a short survey, and when I approve you I'll send you a link to the book and my discord (because adult materials are not allowed to be viewed on the public areas of an adult game).

So there it is, I think I got most of the details right out front, let me know if you have questions or are interested.

This is a neat concept.

Can I ask, how do you plan to handle the production aspects (budget management, etc) if PCs are all actors and not producers or directors, for example?

Their attributes produce a Budget score which is an abstract. Everything from somewhat expensive props to whole set pieces has an effect on budget expenditure both negative (set piece required a lot of pyrotechnics to blow it up, or it was just expensive to build or film on in the first place) and positive (Player did an Adbreak, so now the that company gave the film 1 budget).

They can also do things like retakes, gag reels, deleted scenes, walking off the set, improv with an extra, etc. that have a both a meta-effect and an on screen effect on a film's plot and/or production. Role Negotiation allows a number of plot and/or character concessions based on a margin of success--the book has certain talents that are most generically appropriate to negotiate a roll with, but in practice I've also allowed characters' talents to be reflected in "demo reels" = (I'm also trying to start the game up on another site, where we just finished the Role Negotiation phase).

That's a vast oversimplification on the sections of the book that pertain to players.

Ok, cool. A few more players will likely ensure this game gets off the ground.

Great! I'm halfway there, I'm collecting notes for the first film based on things I've ran over the years and gotten success out of. I don't have anything concrete yet because I'd rather do the significant parts of it based on the actors I get--it's also been brought to my attention that I should clarify actors should have other talents to reflect things other than acting. Hadn't thought of that because it's pretty much been how it worked without me explicitly saying it, but yes, when it gets off the ground that'll be something you'll want to throw a nod to.

Guess I decided to create the game: link to another game As noted repeatedly, it's adult.
