IC: Stranger Things

I am really interested in either doing a game based around the series or even play one.

My idea: We all know of Hawkins and all that happens but are their more. Players of Far Cry 6 know of another but I'm thinking this was the height of the Cold War. So there could be other towns that have been affected by the Upside Down. Maybe even more like Eleven, Eight and Vecna.

So thoughts?

If enough interest I would love to do it using either Freeform or Unisystem. I'm thinkinfg the BTVS and Angel books offer good rules for creating the Demigorgons and such. So would DnD but I'm not experienced with that system.

I think that 'Kids on Bikes' would be pretty good for this game. Alternatively, you might consider using "Monster of the Week."

Though its an option, I have no way of acquiring a hardcopy and I can't download a pdf. Thats why I thought Unisystem as I have it already.

Maybe after the first though

I'd enjoy participating in a game using Unisystem. I have the Buffy books (PDF via DTRPG) but never used them.

Unisystem:
I've used them (GMing a game with them now) and played in games with them. They are 'better than adequate'. They work quite well for modelling normal people and monsters. I think it's a good fit: you won't have that 'this doesn't feel right' feeling you get with some games.

Kids with Bikes:
Sounds fun! Never tried. I think I'll go buy a copy: the summary looks great

In reply to bigdaddyG (msg # 8):

Yep, Kids on Bikes.  Simple, fun, tell a story, and players are part of the story.  I think you can get a pdf from the game company; I was lucky enough to get my copy at the game store.
