I've wanted to break away from D&D for a while now, for several reasons, and somehow SotDL appeals to me very much. An idea for a semi-sandbox game in the south is rolling in my head: the characters are based in a fort controlled by a noble from the March Lands, located in the Patchlands, as a forward base of sorts. The characters would be semi-employed by the Lady running the fort, not told what to do but free to choose what tasks to accept and take others from different patrons, which leaves place to personal goals as well.

Are there any interested players?

for me it depends on how knowledgeable potential players have to be.

I've been in a couple of games on here, but they always had false starts and collapsed quickly.

The world is interesting, being much darker and grittier than things like D&D is.

I'd be interested in playing, learning the system and setting more :)

I'm not against it, but yeah, not a lot of experiences seeing it be run yet.

Correcting myself: you'll need the player's guide or the core book to make a level 2 character.

The starter guide states you can make a character with it, which is technically true, but only at level 0. No info in it about the paths.

EDIT:
I tried to get adult access to the site (as I feel SotDL needs at least a Mature rating), but I can only request it from the 24th, at least two weeks after I registered. So, in the meantime, I'll fire up an all-access game with timid scenes, for level 0 / level 1 characters, where everyone can test the system in a short one-shot story.
