I've always wanted to run this. It does have roleplaying opportunities in the nearby city and on some of the levels but by and large it's more combat than anything else.

Because it's a huge dungeon crawl (16 levels each having 10-18 rooms) I'd need people prepared to post at least one time a day without fail.

I'd be looking for 6 players

I'd want a mix of classes with and capabilities.

Just gauging how many folks would be interested in this time of game

I've heard of Emerald Spire but don't know much about it. I'm online every day though, and love 1e. =P

Any idea on starting level, or what things you will allow (unchained, hybrid classes, occult, etc.)?

1st. It's pretty much guaranteed a level each dungeon level.

I'd probably allow 80 % of the races and 90% of the classes as long as they are not 3pp and even some 3pp things if I can review them and understand capabilities


No evil though as that becomes problematic

Dungeon Crawl?   Me!  Me!  Me!

I might be interested as well, pending knowledge of whichever house rules and other character creation details might be allowed or not; I've heard good things about this particular dungeon crawl and am curious to see what it's like in play.

I know what the parameters are for if I do it.

It'd be a 20 point but in

All normal races plus a host of others such as Aasimar, Tiefling, All Genasi, most half animal classes like Gnoll, Lizardman, Ophidian, Tengu, Catfolk, Kitsune, etc...

Goblin, Hobgoblin, Kobold, Android and most others...no races that fly. . Of course I'll be creating a comprehensive list.

I do combat a little different  to speed it along.

I post a combat summary for the good guys and the bad guys.

A summary looks like this

Lan  AC:20 (T-15 /FF-20 ) CMD:18 HP 32/29 FO:+2 RE:+8  WL:+3
5th Rogue Elf Male +2 vs Enchantment spells and spell-like effects. Immune to Sleep effects. Trapfinding +2. Evasion. +1 Trap Sense. Uncanny Dodge. Debilitating Injury.

For each party member and bad guy. Then I have an initiative order up and everyone acan post as they wish. I post a summary each round stating what occurred IN INITIATIVE ORDER.

casters roll saves for bad guys they are casting on (because they see saves in summary)

I roll party member saves.

Because you see the AC and hit points of each enemy it's easy, if you read all the posts, to anticipate who needs to be attacked...knowing it's in initiative order.

I always adjust things in the players favor if someone falls before a players turn.


I think that'sy biggest houserule.
