not knowing the parameters?..... you should just be able to  post your game? if they aren't allowing you to  post an 'adult' game... go for mature, and tone things  down.

I am Uncertain how long you have been around these boards....but, on the main page on the upper left hand side is "start your own game"

you follow the steps there, for setting up your game.

Now?  If there  are issues that the site won't allow it..you need to send an Rmail..or ask the Mods, from in here?...

I have no idea how to register an 'adult' game either, which just beggars belief!  Whenever I have tried it is denied with no explanation as to how to actually do it so I just made mine 'mature' and try to keep all game threads out of group 0.

I am not sure if you are talking about doing a Wanted Players ad or trying to rate your actual game creation.

As Donsr said it’s pretty clear.  To create a game go to your main page and click create a game.  In that menu you have a few settings to do.  Your need to have threads on your board and I think the game info before you can click to accept players.  So do that and tic the boxes for your game set up the clic to make the game.

To do a wanted post go into that forum and there you click on add a topic which is in the pull down box.  Write up your game description and what kind of characters you need, etc.  the rules for creating and bumping your ad.

A few pointers re issues raised - hope they help ...  :>

All the info you'll need on how to advertise a game can be found in the FAQs under FAQs for New Users | GM's FAQ | How can I advertise my game.   :>

A player won't be able to create an adult game if their adult access hasn't been requested/approved or if they've been banned from adult games (though if the latter is an issue, the player should receive an rMail to let them know) - otherwise if you're having problems with adult access, send an rMail to the Moderators.

Note that Mature games must not contain content that would require an Adult flag, even if the posts are not in a Public thread.  Have a look at the FAQs under General RPoL Information | Adult and Mature Games FAQ where several topics are relevant, and if in doubt, send an rMail to the Moderators.

Right, let me try a different path to my goal. I find brousing for games, there's a link for that, to be better, than the players wanted thread, but that's me. I can decide general game catagory, and set the general/ mature/ adult settings, to exclude what I don't want. I find doing it that way, often gives me a better return. You might want to give this a try.

The advantage to the Wanted: Players forum is that most people who are seeking a new game look there first.  Browsing games works if you have some specifics of what you're looking for in mind...if you really like a specific system, or setting, or GM, things like that, so you can narrow your search.  Otherwise, just browsing games is kind of like trying to take a sip from a fire hydrant...

But many players who are looking for something new, or something similar to what they've done before but not necessarily in the same system/setting/whatever, will go to W:P, because they know, immediately, that what's listed there is not only accepting new players, but is actively seeking them, and the listings can give you a brief overview of what the game is without even having to open the ad, if it's headlined properly.

I agree, listing in W:P isn't necessary.  It is, however, more likely to get responses than just leaving your game floating in the Aether and hoping someone stumbles across it.
