FYI: Amazon Ad Still Tracking

Just wanted to let admins and other folks know that the grayed-out Amazon ad is still tracking people going to the main rpol.net site. It loads two images:

http://g-images.amazon.com/ima...ap-search-go-btn.gif
https://d1ge0kk1l5kms0.cloudfr...hbox-logo-126x32.gif

Both are trackers that reports your IP addresses back to amazon and cloudfront when your browser loads the images. The technique is often used in html emails as well to detect when you read their email ads.

For admins: Absolutely all the Amazon images and code needs to be removed from the main site if you don't want to be tracked. You might want to look into duckduckgo.com's strategy for non-tracking advertising.

For users: You can use Privacy Badger (https://privacybadger.org/) to block trackers.
