Shifting Postings Up or Down?

Is there a way for the GM to order posting once they have been made?

It seems like it would be Very helpful to reorg posts that have gotten out of order due to the time between player updates.

I know you can delete and repost but that is very tedious. Especially when you are dealing with active players that have multiple out of sequence posts.

Use the "bump" option to shuffle a thread to the top. Do this in the right  order and you can arrange your posts how you like.

So again, it's all manual workaround and no seeded functionality?

Manually bumping threads into the order you want is the only way to move them.  Not sure how you would set up a system to automatically move threads into the desired order (the order desired by the GM of each individual game) without having the GM define that order anyway.

Well, just wondered as it is not unusual for players to respond "out of order' and it would make following things much easier if that could be reordered.

Yep, understood that.  The Bump Thread option, under the Edit Thread link, is the official answer to that very issue.

Thanks
So only Threads can be moved, not postings in a thread.

That's correct.  Individual posts can't be shifted at all (short of cutting and pasting, and even that only allows you to move a post to the end of the thread).

It is also possible to edit existing posts, so content from one post could be prepended / appended to a different post. Assuming there is a convenient existing post to use.

Not at all 'optimal', but another work around.

OK
Workarounds it is. Just making sure before I spent a lot of time and then found out there was an easy way if I'd just known of it.
