Matt Flint~ Retired Army Colonel and old friend of Calamity's father.  He just knows that Bosch is behind a helluva lot of deaths but never gets his hands bloody.  Matt owns the livery and the corrals for horses and cattle.  Bosch wants to own it and wants Matt out of the picture so he has a clear line to get Addie to marry him.  Attempts to kill Matt have failed thus far.  Matt loves Addie and Jayne and will protect them with his very life.  There are inside stalls in the Livery and he also rents horses out.
