Leonia Sommersby ~ Leonia was another riverboat queen and her king was Bosch.  On the 'Delta Queen' her husband was a gambler and a drunk and abusive.  Bosch and her fell in love and when her husband beat her for a last time Bosch killed him.  He and Leonia became a couple and then Bosch started to change, get greedy and wanting power.  She found him with a serving girl and that was it.  She left after they had a huge fight and she had shouted to him 'I'm pregnant with your child!'  Bosch wanted nothing to tie him down and he let her leave but only that she and he keep in touch for his child's sake.  When things got hard for Leonia she asked him for help.  She had made a living working in bakeries as she raised their son alone.  Bosch sent her money to come to Laredo, he set her up in her own bakery shop and home and still collected protection money.  He would come to her at times coercing her to lay with him or he would harm or kill the boy.  She was to take no lovers but him when he wanted her... then along comes Clayton who takes interest in the boy and her....
