Dr Nick Slater

Name: Nicholas Slater, MD

Age: 33

Status: Married

Height: 6'0"

Weight: 200 lbs

Nick Slater was born and raised with the upper echelons of society in Boston.  He was raised around other socialite families and their kids.  In particular, those whom he called friend were: Forrest Rollins, Meg Rollins, Richard Jackson and Mycala Jackson.  While he considered these four friends, most people did not take a liking to Nick.  He was always pompous and full of himself

When he was finally of the age to wed, he married Meg, using the marriage as a way to allow himself to be flush with cash.  He sent assassins after Forrest so that he could have the Rollins family fortune to himself.  Since Forrest and Richard had joined the war, none would be wiser if Forrest were to come upon an untimely death.  Unfortunately, Richard noticed the attack and jumped in front of Forrest, taking the bullet meant for the Rollins man.  Forrest was, instead, captured and tortured in a war camp.  When the information got back to Nick that everything was done, he rejoiced by pushing Meg down the stairs, killing her and their unborn child.  He now had the Rollins wealth.

He became close with Mycala, consoling her over her brother's death, as well as that of Meg and Forrest, whom she was to marry.  During this time, they went to University together, working toward a medical Doctorate.  With the time and proximity they spent together, Nicholas was able to wine and dine Ms. Jackson.  They married in a small family ceremony, but unbeknownst to Mycala, Slater had been cheating on her.  On their wedding night, she walked in on the good doctor administering a rather rousing physical to two female patients.  Mycala immediately left.

Nick spent time looking for his wife, finally finding her in Loredo.  He did not, however, know that Forrest was still alive.

*Nick is also a hardcore gambler and is addicted to all forms of opiates, especially laudanum.
