*Physical Description: Standing at over 6 feet tall, Ben has a fit and slender body type.  He has a weekly work out regiment that keeps him in shape.  He isn't exactly toned but he doesn't have excess body fat either preferring a cardio workout.

Benjamin James Warren was born to a single mother in Springfield, IL.  His father was a prominent Lawyer and public official in Springfield and was a repeat customer of his mother's who was a prostitute.  Upon learning that he had a son, his father gave a lump sum of money to his mother to raise him but otherwise walked out of their life because he didn't want his wife finding out.  Unfortunately his mother spent all the money on drugs and so Ben still grew up poor and jealous of his half brother that was living the well off life he felt was his birthright.  Luckily for him, he made straight As so after graduating high school he went to UIUC for their law school getting grants and loans.

Ben still held contempt for his half brother though who had gotten his law degree at Harvard.  Following in their father's footsteps, Ross had married and had twins while moving up as a prominent Springfield lawyer.  Of course Ross didn't know anything about his father's promiscuity or that he had a half brother and their father had passed away from a heart attack a couple years earlier before he could tell him.  So Ben set out to ruin his half brother's life by destroying his family.  He planned the meeting between him and his brother's wife to make it look like a coincidence.  An accidental bump at a coffee shop and the coffee spilled on his shirt and tie and the ice was broken.  They began to talk and soon started to run into each other every morning at the coffee shop to talk some more.

While the friendship grew, she would rant to him and cry on his shoulder because he was a good listener, not knowing of his alternate agenda.  Being the most junior public defender, he drew the short straw when a nurse was accused of infecting a human.  She had been a local wolf that hadn't been outed and had infected a boy with cancer to keep him from dying.  Of course the boy's parent's accusations were baseless but the nurse knew her blood would show the infection and at best she would lose her job.  Ben found a way to switch her blood sample with someone uninfected and was able to prove she didn't have access to a syringe with that strain of the virus and so she was kept from being outed as well as keeping her job.  That got him the 'privledge' of being the first choice for any preternateral cases

Having gotten the nurse off, Ben recruited her help in getting tests and blood samples switched in the hospital.  That's when he started a rumor that Ross's wife had had an affair around the time she'd gotten pregnant with the twins.  Because Ross was trying to get into public office, he couldn't have the scandal so he had ordered a paternity test for his twins.  With the nurse's help, she switched the sample of one of the twins and it came back that that twin was the son of Ross's childhood best friend, who happened to be a doctor in the same hospital.

Not knowing Ben was the cause and knowing she had never cheated on Ross, Ross's wife ran to Ben for comfort since Ross was now angry with her and threatening divorce.  Ben comforted her and got her drunk, getting her to sleep with him in a moment of weakness.  Ross of course walked in on them as Ben had planned.  It was at that moment that Ben revealed that they were half brothers and Ross, in a rage, shot at them, luckily missing Ben but hitting his wife who was left paralyzed.  Soon after Ross, who had lost his family and his career and reputation ended, committed suicide.  Ben's revenge settled, he finally left Springfield to make a new life for himself landing in New Orleans as a public defender.  He prefers to specialize in Preternatural Law since that field is brand new and wide open.
