Re: OOC: Table Talk 3

I like the idea as it will reward those who actively contribute to making the game better. However, my concern will be that it is an extra layer of admin for you the GM.

To echo our illustrious Druid, it it ain't broke, don't fix it. But if you want to introduce it there will be no complaints here.

Re: OOC: Table Talk 3

I currently play in a game where the GM does give bonuses for what he considers excellent or clever type posts, not just quantity but quality posts, and I love it, its exciting to get that instant positive feedback on a good post.

No objections. It will be good to keep in mind what we each can do to contribute to the health of the game.

Re: OOC: Table Talk 3

A point of clarification. Rath's AC3 assumes he's not using his shield, because I've been assuming the trident is a two-handed weapon. If that's wrong, let me know, and I'll use the shield for an AC2.

I believe the trident is a two-handed weapon. Let me adjust my post accordingly.

Re: OOC: Table Talk 3

Do we know if Norion's silver axe is magic or just silver?

Re: OOC: Table Talk 3

From the XP & Treasure thread:

Magic true-silver hand axe, properties unknown. Norion now knows its name as well, Argent.

Who is wielding the magic broadsword? If currently nobody then logic says we loan it to one of the NPC fighters.

In reply to Inas Eoinsson (msg # 37):

Nobody laid claim to it. It is still held within party treasure. I am assuming someone has been hauling it around, but not sure whom.

The henchmen each laid claim to a masterwork short sword prior to entering the Underdark chasm.

Re: OOC: Table Talk 3

Also, I assume that the three visible PCs cannot simply go back under Saliq's spell without him recasting it, correct?

As always, there is a 50% chance that an arrow can be retrieved and still useable. Go ahead and roll that on your one (<50% it's found and still good) >50% broken or not found.

Congratulations to Ben, who has now earned enough XP for 7th level!

*sniff* They grow so fast...

Go ahead and level up your character, make appropriate adjustments on your character sheet and send me a PM with your new HPs so I can update the combat tracker. Thanks!

In reply to Ben Scristos (msg # 45):

See, there is something to be said for playing an orphaned character!

BTW, I used to play in another game here on RPoL where "Ben Scristos" was also a character. I believe that game is still active, but I asked to leave the game after a few months of playing because I wasn't really enjoying the game.

Not sure how many other Ben Scristos' were orphaned across RPoL, but I can only hope their current players get as much enjoyment out of them as you do!

Eek! I exist across the multiverse... I wonder if I smell just as bad in all of them.

In reply to Ben Scristos (msg # 47):

The smell was not noticeable in the other game I encountered Ben. In fact, there pretty much was no characterization occurring in the game at all, which is pretty much why I asked to leave.

Ack, hate games like that, especially when they are face-to-face games and the people have no clue how to play in character.

In reply to Saliq Musfara (msg # 50):

Well done Ben!

I have found too many games in RPOLland where the GM and players err towards brief dull posts. It is most annoying. It isn't like you don't have time to think about your post, often hours or even days.

I was in another game with a Ben Scristos, too!

I've ran a few incarnations of Rath, but I've never orphaned him.
