Cathal takes May's hand and leads her to the dance floor. "I hope too I can dance otherwise this would be less enjoyable."

When the dance starts Cathal is secure in the steps he uses for the tango, nothing fancy, but more than just the basic steps.

Things moved fast. Rhiannon barely had time to grab a glass of wine before her first dance hunted her down. The man was older than she was, but that was to be expected, and from his attire she guessed he was not at the Mizzurian ball just prior. It was weird that he knew who she was, but then she realized that she was announced on entry. 'Your highness' had a nice ring to it though.

"no pardon needed." She sipped her wine, offering her other hand to him. "I am Rhiannon, yes. So, you must be..." She glanced at her list, but she wanted to hear him say it. He must have been quick to reserve that first dance.

After another sip, Rhiannon set aside her glass and allowed the gentleman to take her out to the dance floor, immediately spinning into the dance. "So, tell me a bit about yourself. Where are you from?"

"Yes like in College, Biological, Earth, and Environmental Sciences. So I have no idea if I will continue or not, I will miss it."

"Have you decided what course you want to take? Maybe a work placement during the next year."

Cathal checks his dance card for his next partner and tries to locate her. He also checks if he has gotten more entries.

Rhiannon only kind of knew what Thomas meant. She thought she was in Carnellian. Maybe his adjacent realm wasn't Carnellian, but somehow close. Or maybe she was overthinking it. She was thinking shadow, but maybe it was literally just another province nearby.

"A pleasure to meet you Thomas. So, sometimes merchant? What do you do with the rest of your time? Or are you just already independently wealthy?"

His dance card has 2 more entries on it, but they're quite a way down the list, meaning that he will have to go find a partner after his third dance..

If you touch and hold the name then it will bring up a picture of the person. At a guess it was captured in the Ballroom this evening...

As he's bringing up the picture of his next dance partner and starting to look around to locate her he notices that she is approaching him through the throng.
She would appear to be older than he is, possibly of Hispanic descent, and like May in a 'modern' style of dress, but not 'high fashion'.

"Ah. Still, you must have some importance if you are here. At least I imagine so. Honestly, I'm not really well versed on the etiquette. I'm actually rather new to all this, but I'm adapting.  A merchant then. In what do you trade? If you care to talk about it that is."

"It sounds to me like you have a lot of business opportunity. I don't know much about business and supply chains. My formal training is in the sciences. I'm not sure yet what my plans were for that, but now I'm a princess so I have to rethink my future." Rhiannon shook her head.

"My apologies, Thomas, we're just dancing. I didn't mean to bore you with that."

He bows to you as the dance ends, and departs, possibly heading in Natalie's direction.

Barely has he done so, and before you can really catch your breath, another similarly dressed gentleman will appear.

After Robert made his gracious exit from the dance, Rhiannon looked around to see how long it might be before the next. The answer came as another man approached, also dressed in Victorian looking swag. She figured he was probably her next dance, and he said just that.

"You must be Robert?" She offered her hand as a lady would... at least how they showed it in movies. Held high toward his mouth with her knuckles forward so he could kiss if he chose. Not that she knew if that was the custom here or not. "It's a pleasure ot meet you." And she let him lead into the next dance.

As you offered your hand he will touch it to his lips.
Once the dance commences, another Tango, as all 3 in this block are, he will say

"Of course, it will be a pleasure to me." Cathal replies and leads her into the next dance.

Robert's question was a bit of a surprise. It was a fair question, and one Rhiannon herself thought people might wonder. Despite that, she had no ready answer. A smile was enough to cover her for any dazed look, but it wouldn't suffice to give her a good explanation. He said it would be okay if she didn't want to answer, but she felt compelled to give him something.

"It's crazy, right?" She made light of the situation overall. "At the risk of slipping a family secret, I imagine it's no secret that the house of Amber is austere and rich with royalty. And perhaps not surprisingly, the princes do go out and, um, spread their love of the people. I would imagine that's common among royals. But what is not common is that the noble house of Amber is very keen to recognize its family members. And so, they even go out to track them down wherever they may be. Some might find that unseemly, but is it not actually noble to recognize and support their sons and daughters?"
