The sounds of footsteps get closer to your location as they are coming down you can see the shadows at the mouth of the cave where you are located. They are seconds away from seeing anyone who isn't hidden.

Jaysen readied himself to drop prone if they had ranged weapons.

Muirryl has no hope of hiding.  The most he hopes for is to avoid being surrounded.  He moved adjacent to the cave entrance and picked a patch of stone he estimated he would blended in with.

As the two creatures come in view of Echo she can see large brutish Orc's walking her way. When they come down they don't notice anyone but continue to walk down and stop at the entrance. One of them looks at the other and says, "See! Told you, nothing here. Check your ears stupid."

Both Orcs have very primal gear on their bodies but in each of their hands are weapons. Their armor seems to be that of bone, fur and broken pieces of armor that they likely scavenged off the bodies of their victims. On one piece of the bone she spots a hand print with 3 claws ripping through almost like a beast scratched the emblem.

Seeing the orcs, the halfling gets ready to light it aod when they get inside the oil she does. Feel the burn. She keeps trying to stay hidden once the fire is lit.

Easing back into cover, Malleus readies an incantation

OOC: Hold Action, Cast Cantrips- Eldritch Blast

One of the orc's lifts a finger as if to say Sssshhhh to the other one. He starts looking around as if he heard something and slowly looks around. A few seconds later he takes a few steps forward just enough to notice Jaysen prone on the ground. "Wha that?", says the orc pointing at Jaysen. The other looks surprised and says, "HOLD right there!"

Both start walking towards him right before they enter the area that Echo set the trap for.

And the fire was lit within seconds! Echo watches it for a moment and whistled "Oops." She grins andd darts back away from the flames. She needed a good place to hide-and to watch the orcs burn.

He waited for an enemy to step into his imaginary circle, then unleashed his weapon.

Lurking carefully, like a spider, Malleus waiting for the tugging upon their web before he unleashed his spell; in this instance, the tugging was quite insistent and came with a 'vhooosh' of fire and flame, and the coruscant energies danced around his target - the one not engaged with the giant of a fighter

The two orcs step into the oil just as Echo tosses a torch into the substance that catches both of them on fire. The orc's scream running towards the group. One rushes Jaysen and is instantly taken out by his attack as the body of the orc flops over into the some bushes where he hits the ground with a thud. Malleus and Muirryl manage to finish off the second one leaving a pool of blood where he stands burning out.

In the distance you hear some shouting coming from up above. The noise has managed to alert some the others. The smoke coming off the bodies is also likely giving them the idea something is happening.

Muirryl looked to Jayson and Junto, then to his own group.

"We have common cause, and good reason to get out of here.  Which direction?"

Muirryl held his shield ready should anyone start throwing spears or shooting arrows from above, and motioning to the others to choose a course so he could guard the retreat.

Shrugging, for he has no clear direction that calls to him, Malleus scans the cliff path, looking for any treachery in the footing or the debris that lines it [Private to GM: His intention is to find a spot where an Unseen Servant might push boulders onto someone trying to follow them, or upset a loose rock they're walking on. If he spots such, he will cast the spell and provide instructions to do so when they hear him whistle]

Jaysen spoke with the confidence of someone eho had just cut an orc to pieces. "There is no need to run. This cave is a tactical advantage,  only wide enough for 2 at a time. You and I," indicating Blackhonor, "can hold this entrance, the rest back us from range. Eventually they run out of bodies to send us."

Watching as the orcs burn and are killed by the others, no one mentions Echo's smart attack or whatnot. She pouts and kicks a rock before moving to check the bodies for any loot once the bodies have stopped their sizzling "We're off to see the wizard. The wonderful wizard of Nym." Yeah right. Once done she stands next to the paladin.

You can hear the sounds of Orc's coming from above. You have a few seconds to decide before the orcs are upon you.

[Private to Malleus Murk: Up above you notice some cliffs that might serve as a good place for a servant to throw down small to medium sized rocks that could hurt the orcs but nothing giant that would block the path or anything along those lines.]

Nodding thoughtfully to himself, Malleus moves to stand behind the stalwart defenders - Jaysen and Muirryl - on the opposite side to Echo, readying another eldritch incantation

Muirryl moves into the shade and the protection of the mouth of the cave, taking up a defending position before the orcs above can descend upon them.

"This feels dangerous.  Are we sure the cave doesn't have an exit on the other side that could allow them to flank us?"

And the halfling darts towards the entrance not saying a word.  She goes from a outcropping to another and tries to get within the cave moving as quietly as possible. Stupid Echo. Well if the others die well...
