Korg, seeing his companion in danger, also raises his staff and prepares utters a word of power....

If Thea's spell doesn't destroy it, Korg will also cast TTYF (level 1).

Kade draws his mighty short sword even as he leaps to the rescue, slashing down at the very arm the Burnt One is outstretching towards Thea. "Ayaaah!"

18:55, Today: Kade SpiritShaker rolled 43 using 5d6+29 with rolls of 1,3,3,3,4.  Call to arms. Almost exactly average :)

Slattery starts to move out of the room when he hears the sounds of Thea casting a spell.
"Damn it, they're insisting on starting a fight!" he mutters, and turns around. He will just be moving back into the room as everyone else starts laying into the undead fiend.

Re: Third Delve

Thea and Korg blast the advancing creature with magical power. The combined force blasts a hole in it's midsection, but that does not stop Mohot. As the warriors and rogues surround him, weapons drawn, he lashes out with powerful claws.

Kade's enchanted short sword appears to have full effect against Mohot, but the rest seem to be less effective.

Despite your numbers, Mohot forces you back, inflicting some damage, although your armor saves you from the worst.

All normal damage to Kade, Thurek, Biror, Fetcher, and Jax is absorbed by armor. 1 point of spite damage each to Thurek and Fetcher.

Mohot is damaged by the two TTYF spells plus takes 4 spite damage.

Re: Third Delve

"My dagger is magic. My hatchet is not." answers Biror, clenching his teeth because of his lack of his depleted magic power. He strikes again anyway, hoping it will be sufficient to vanquish their foe.

09:45, Today: Biror rolled 37 using 6d6+21 with rolls of 1,2,3,4,1,5.  Ax and magic dagger attack.

Note: probably made a mistake in previous rolls, as both Biror's magic dagger and hand ax have 3 dice.

Saviour leaps to the attack with bared teeth, but Kade rolls-in between, interposing, and gestures her wildly back towards the gold room: "No! Back Lakulmia! Back! You hurt! Kade and family, WE beat bad Man-hot!"

All that is accompanied by a mighty slash at the back of the Burnt One's knees: "For New One!"

09:40, Today: Kade SpiritShaker rolled 45 using 5d6+29 with rolls of 5,5,2,1,3.  No legs to stand on

Slattery pile in to rain down blows from his sword, hoping that Thea's magic will reinforce his main blade. He tries to smack the creature around with the dagger in his off-hand on the chance it does something.

[OOC: 14:45, Today: Slattery rolled 42 using 9d6+8 ((2,6,3,3,3,3,5,4,5)). That's the shortsword with vorpal blade on and my combat adds. I also rolled a 6 and a 5 on the 2d6+2 for my dagger if that helps.]

Re: Third Delve

As Slattery closed in to the melee, Thea enchanted his blades in a now well-practiced bit of maneuvering between the two, hoping that this particular bit of small magic that she can still manage will make a difference in the outcome of the fight.

OOC: casting Vorpal Blade on Slattery's weapon(s).

That leaves Thea with just one point of WIZ, so she has only one TTYF or Vorpal Blade left in the tank.

Re: Third Delve

The glow of enchanted blades illuminates the area around the melee. Mohot, seriously injured by the spells of the Wizards moments before, now falls back against the onslaught of the warriors and rogues. Your weapons hack into the body and limbs of the creature, but no blood is drawn. It is almost as if you are chopping into burnt wood.

As he backs up toward the flaming pot, one of Mohot's claws rakes across Thurek's face (1 point of spite).

Thea once again positions herself briefly next to Slattery as the melee rages on.  "Last I can do," she says to him in a low and somewhat ragged voice as she expends the last of her magical energy into his sword.

OOC: Casting Vorpal Blade.  Thea's WIZ is now at zero, hoping the rest of you can finish this SOB off this turn.

OOC: 21:56, Today: Slattery rolled 37 using 9d6+8 ((4,2,3,3,2,5,3,1,6)).
I also rolled a pair of ones with the dagger which will do nothing.

The rain of blows upon Mohot proves too much and it staggers back into the the waiting flames which immediately die back to their original height and intensity. Before he leaves, however, Mohot gives Slattery and Fetcher each a parting gift (1 point spite damage each).

OOC: Combat has ended. A couple of reminders, there is still the gold bracelet in the saracophagus and the scroll from the hidden compartment which Kade on the floor. Also, there's the matter of Regen's body and the golden ankh which Thurek has tied to the now legless table.

Re: Third Delve

Thea surveys the room in the aftermath of the battle.  Finally, she speaks, her voice sounding a bit tired.  "We should rest.  I can't speak for Korg, but my ability to cast spells is completely spent at the moment.  We should also perhaps hold off until after we have rested on any further prodding and investigation of what remains here, lest we summon forth any further threats."  That part isn't just directed at Kade, but Thea is decidedly looking at the halfling when she says it.  "And then we should return to town, so that poor Regen can be prepared for a proper burial."
