Stopping in Faulbane
You "park" your earthrocs just north of Faulbane in a safe location to avoid being too conspicuous.
The news of the king's death and the battle has not yet reached Faulbane, and you realize it will probably be wise to leave Faulbane before the chaos breaks out...and also before the demons catch up to you.
You are at a cave on the edge of Leslorlen forest, an hour's hike northwest of Faulbane. This places the Crusader's Inn just south of you on the far side of Oakbridge (where you solved the murders and found the "pet" dinosaurs...or at least, Borimer and Grizz did).
OOC: For the new players, when Faulbane was occupied by the orcs, a few areas were cordoned off for the humans and other demihumans to have as their own, Oakbridge being one area, and the area with the Crusader's Inn being another. The orcs don't usually bother them there, whereas the other humans and demihumans throughout the city are more subject to search and harassment. Those places are the "safe havens," you might say.
As you walk into the township, you notice that there are even more poles leading down the road into the city, and on these poles are more corpses of rotting humans, dwarves, and halflings. It seems that things have not gotten any better, and you still cannot get used to the smell, but it is home after all.
The orc sentries give you free passage into the city since you bear the king's medallions.
OOC: From here, where do you go, and what do you do? Put in private lines if private. Of course, you can go to the Inn first to get a room and check on Pearl (who was the girl saved by Borimer, Grizz and company in the "Rathyl's Treasure" adventure). You probably have one complete day before you have to begin thinking about when the demons will arrive.
