It was sunny all day here too. :)

Hard to get to sleep though, with the aerial gunbattle dragging on into the night. :P

I can claim a tiny bit of  Canadian... my Dad's   folks  came from Hungary  to Nova scotia ..he was born there,   they came down a few years later to PA to work the coal mines...

so I always say I am a bit of Canada !

Happy Canada Day!

you don't know how much I have though of it!....

when I was younger  we had a  guy from my hometown ( Windber PA )  Frank Kush  coached in the CFL... I wanted  to  go up there  to try out  for Hamilton or the Argos?.. I was goign to see if  I could claim citizenship so I  wouldn't be counted as  an Import....

but?  that was also in the ending  years of the  Vietnam War,  and I didn't  want to be viewed as a draft dodger..so?..i missed my window.

as a side bar.. the town of Johnstown , PA  is only like 8 miles  from me..in my little mining  town of Mine 40 ( Euraka  40) … and   we had a couple players from there in the CFL..the last one set  receiving  records  for the CFL is last year.

Anyway?.. I'll always be   a part Canadian!

From the coal mining corners of PA originally myself and I've often wanted a place in Nova Scotia.  I know, this adds nothing to the conversation, just wanted to add my 2 cents for the day.

yep Der.. Western PA  here..  I always wanted to see Nova Scotia, just ebcause  my Dad was born there , when his folks came over 'on the boat'

I'm  at the age, where I don't see that happening.

You aren't dead yet. It took me years to finally get to Alaska. Drove up from California when I was 50 just because I'd never managed to do it by that point.

You just have to decide to make it happen...somehow.

So my final wish of cremation by decaying orbit isn't out of the question?
(Yep, nothing to do with Canada Day, but I couldn't help myself)

I made it to Alaska once.  Drove in a few miles, stopped for a bathroom break, and headed back.  Just wanted to say I made it there honestly.  Mind you, I drove that from New York originally.
