Testing - Consonym Synonym Game

This game is in Testing status, which means you are encouraged to provide input and discussion regarding rules changes.  When you think the game is ready to graduate from Testing or ready to move to the trash, say so in Suggestions and we'll vote on it.  This notice will be removed when the thread leaves testing.

Discreet:
I propose a Consonym game, where in it's like the new word game but with consonyms.

So like someone starts with a word like "Tame" which has the consonants T and M and then you come up with other words using only those consonants and that consonant order. So using the example Tame as the starting word the next person might post

team

and then

time

then

atom

then eventually we'd switch words and move on.

Yoss:
I think we'd run out of consonyms pretty quick.  Maybe in addition to the core mechanic of consonyms, we could add synonyms for when you can't think of a consonym.

So you could go:
team
time
atom
tome
book
bike
bake
cook
cake
pastry
(and so on)

Therefore, you would never need to restart and every word links back to the previous.

PP:
Could we also flip it so you have to use the vowels? Could you alternate?

Post 1: Bake
Post 2 uses consonants B & K: Bike
Post 3 uses vowels I & E: Their
Post 4 uses consonants T,H,R : There
Post 5 uses vowels: E,E: deer
Post 6 uses consonants D,R: Dry
Post 7 uses vowel Y: Why
Post 8 uses consonants W,H: Where
Post 9 uses vowel E,E: Beer
Post 10 uses consonants B,R: Brie

etc. etc.

Y counts as both :D

LOOK

Wait, consonym keeps the consonant order, right?

Re: Testing - Consonym Synonym Game

You can use a synonym if you get stuck to keep things moving...

gram isn't exactly a synonym, but I feel it counts as the full word is kilogram
