Re: Zombie Apocalypse Showdown Round 6

Yoss, another potential incentive is to say someone loses their governor/kingship if they don't roll within 3-5 days, and they are automatically switched to the other team (if they are caught).  They would lose all followers.  (Exemptions would be if they can't roll--like me right now.)

Compulsory participation is a non-starter.

Exactly.  The only thing required is to roll and state what you are.

Re: Zombie Apocalypse Showdown Round 6

OK, I'll rephrase, make that rule and it ruins the game by making the determination of winner extremely random, rather than by either strategy (which most ASWOT games have little of anyway so no big deal) or even for posting frequently (as most ASWOT games reward).

Perhaps it would be best to go back to my old suggestion of keeping track of how many times you've rolled each thing and that's what determines Governor.  Then you always encourage more rolls, more participation, and you're never enticed to delay for a better pre-roll.

I don't quite understand.  It encourages posting for those who are governor/king so they can get more followers and avoid the randomness of winning or losing on a 01 or 100 roll.

I don't understand your proposed rule.

[Lulu; 84 with 1d100, Human :(]
No longer hungering for brains Lulu realizes that she hasn't got much to do, after awhile of hiding from the apocalypse and idley watching TV she decides to go outside and try to get bitten-- she was too tired to walk to the store and figured it would be easier to go Zom to get her dinner, especially if it wore off after awhile anyway, it's amazing how cool she is with technical cannibalism

(42 - One for Humanity)

"Erm..." Taz stammers as she watches some straggling zombies feed on an animal carcass. Having heard her they look, but she is already too high in the trees for them to see her. Besides none of them even bothered to look up. "Oh, please, Fates... Spare me those teeth." she whispered breathlessly.

If ASWoT gets active again, we should revitalize this thread.  It was fun while it lasted.

(72 - GO, GO Zombies! x1)

The fates didn't heed her call, rather, they allowed that simple whispered prayer travel to the teeth that wished to dig into her. The zombies climbed with unexpected velocity, and the change was instantaneous. Oh, how wonderful it was, to be a zombie. Why had she ever been so against it?
