Re: Puzzle Rooms IX

A puzzle is usually a problem that needs solved. A riddle is basically a poem that makes you think of something, sort of a "What am I?" type of thing.

Re: Puzzle Rooms IX

A riddle has clues that lead you to an answer, often in some sort of organized group of lines, sometimes even rhyming.

A puzzle is often mathematical, a story format, or some other sort of brain teaser that is not organized into the more poetic format of a riddle.

If it's a brain teaser, it's probably a puzzle.  If it's clues to lead someone to an answer, it's probably a riddle.

The line between the two can sometimes be a little gray, but most often, it is easy to tell the difference.

I like puzzles and riddles.  It's a shame both threads have fallen into disuse.

Palindrome.

Also; "Go hang a salami" and "I'm a lasagna hog" are reversible (minus the punctuation).

Re: Puzzle Rooms IX

Aside from it being a palindrome that immediately gives me the desire to grab some hand sanitizer, I'm not sure what to do with this puzzle.

I don't know if this is the quote, but in my mind I hear someone saying, "Gee, this mouth piece tastes funny."

Re: Puzzle Rooms IX

That was a joke palindrome, not really a puzzle.

It comes from the card game "Exploding Kittens."

Re: Puzzle Rooms IX

You should. Very easy to learn.  Very short.  Kind of like a backwards Uno.  Anyone who likes Uno would probably like it.  (Note: don't get the naughty version if you play with kids or are sensitive to that stuff.)

R, matey, that do be correct!  And you were probably thinking that this letter do be also the favorite letter of a pirate.  But you'd be wrong, a pirate's love always be the C.  Your turn.

Re: Puzzle Rooms IX

You can't run out of the sea.  Fun fact: cats have such amazing kidneys that they can survive on seawater, which is why it's canonically correct to have catgirl pirates as the most fearsome pirates on the sea.  They can eat slaves and drink seawater.

You know, I've always wondered why the English started mounting laser pointers on their warships.  They were far too small to actually do anything and I thought they were being used more as guides for their real guns.
