Re: Happy Homecoming-1

Gunther returns to the team leader: "Got it. We are to be assigned nothing. Let us go, maybe we could get some fun gadgets at R&D... Boy I love those gadgets."

Re: Happy Homecoming-1

You all hear a beep from Seth's PDC.  It is exactly one hour and exactly the time you're supposed to be showing up for outfitting here.

Re: Happy Homecoming-1

Seth receives Gunther's information with a puzzled look then declares "As equipment officer it is your responsibility to requisition the supplies the computer has allotted to us. Failing to do so is insubordination. I'm recommending you be fined appropriately- you're just not trying hard enough."

Gunther:
"What was that beep about valorous team leader?"

"That was an alarm I set for timekeeping purposes. Don't you know that timeliness is essential when serving the Computer?" He looks at Gunther slightly askance before putting the PDC away and approaching the outfitting officer.

"Greetings friend!  My equipment officer has reported that we were not assigned equipment to troubleshoot an important matter for The Computer.  Please double check index PEC-V-9A-65992B-TC-VWV-3C."

"Good then as the equipment officer I am requesting your PDC for a surprise inspection. Not attendance to that implies on a hefty fine." Gunther states.

"Certainly your vigilance is commendable, equipment officer, but don't your responsibilities only apply to Computer assigned equipment?  Using one's assigned office to confiscate personal property reeks of communism, you aren't a communist- are you, Mutie?"

Re: Happy Homecoming-1

Ahem
Gunther pulls ot his equipment guy badge and reads it.

quote:
RANDOM SURPRISE INSPECTIONS

Your duty is also to PREVENT equipment failures.  This is doen through Random Surprise Inspections ("RSI").

It is every Troubleshooter's duty to maintain and upkeep his own equipment.  So the EG conducts inspections, which can involve a thorough examination of the entire team or just a quick Weapons Check ("WC") of selected team members.  Failure to cooperate with the EG is TREASON.

So conducting frequent RSI's reassures you of the Computer's faith in you to do your job.

An RSI looks for more than just wear and tear.  An RSI might be an opportune moment to uncover a monstrous Commie plot with a sympathizer!  Uncovering such plots often lead to security clearance promotions.

No one can refuse an RSI.  NO ONE.

By refusing to Undergo Your RSI you are performing an act of treason. I noticed your PDC went off for no reason I must inspect it, failure to comply with that is an act of treason.

Re: Happy Homecoming-1

"And there are 4 other clones here willing to testify your treason in not cooperating with the RSI. As some might know what happens when a Team's leader's traitorous acts are not hampered by the Team members." Gunther says looking towards CL-R, he knows that oughtta give him flashbacks. Gunther do is smiling though.

Re: Happy Homecoming-1

Seth grins winningly at Gunther as he immediately takes out his his PDC for inspection.

"I *knew* I chose well in selecting our equipment guy! Gunther-R-BOK-3 you are doing an outstanding job in informing the team of equipment policy.  We did things very differently in Threat Assessment, I am glad that you are here to share the valuable experience you have gained through learning from your previous mistakes on troubleshooting teams."

He goes to hand over the PDC then pauses, "Of course, there is the matter of the communication from a high-clearance citizen addressed explicitly to the Team Leader that coincidentally arrived at the same time my alarm went off.  From the honored Computer's warnings I know how tempting your kind find potentially treasonous activity, so I didn't want to expose you to the possibility of inadvertently being exposed to information that it would be Treasonous for you to view.

I should have realized that THE former loyalty officer Gunther from the vids would be experienced enough not to do such a thing accidentally.  It's brought me such great happiness to see you work, here is the PDC willingly and promptly submitted for RSI."

Seth hands it over with a flourish then carefully observes Gunther's RSI with a rapt and joyous expression.  He has never seen an actual Troubleshooter Equipment Inspection in person, and is obviously quite interested in the procedure.

Gunther smiles and takes the PDC. He carefully inspects its outside conservation first. Searching for scratches, Bitemarks, possible drop damages and the such.
Next he tests the keyboard and the touch screen

Gunther inspects the PDC.

The outfitting officer stands there typing into the computer as Gunther does the inspection.  "Ah, yes, I do have that number," he says to the number given by TL Seth.  "But it says here before I issue that equipment, you are to report to R&D.  I will send the sector and coordinates to the Team Leader's PDC as soon as the Equipment Guy's inspection is complete."
