Re: Follow Up
Theoretically, yes. But for me, a success is a success. The main danger with too much success relates to the tension level.
As a reminder, the tension level shows how closely The Computer is monitoring your actions. Ideally, the Computer would monitor all actions, but resources don't permit it, though you have a pretty good idea of how closely you are being monitored at any given time (hence, I tell you the "tension level" of each room).
For example, if it is tension level 3, and you roll a 6 but used 5 perversity points, you have now gone down to a 1, which is within the tension level (rolling 3 or lower). Thus, you have attracted the attention of the Computer with your action. If your action can be deemed treasonous in any way, SOMEBODY has seen it, whether a secret society member, IntSec, or the Computer itself. It then becomes evidence against you. If it is a secret society member and you just succeeded at something your secret society wants, then tension level can act to help for a promotion for you.
It goes both ways.
