ShipGirls and Pathfinder

So, it's another one of Hunter's crazy ideas.

How about a Pathfinder game (set primarily on the water) where the characters are actually shipgirls from Azur Lane.   Perhaps they wake up on a deserted island, with no idea how they got there.  They're stuck in combat mode and can't bring out their ship, until they reach the appropriate point in the story.

Some things that need considering/discussing.
Stat conversion:  How many hit points does a shipgirl have?   I'd guess that you'd want to figure out equivalent damage for Pathfinder and do a straight ratio from there.
Special Abilities: While many special abilities only really relate to combat with other ships, there's a few things that certainly jump to mind (like how they basically don't ever stay "dead").
Cool factor: Aircraft in Pathfinder.   :D

Personally, this one that I'd want to play rather than GM.  Mostly because I'm almost completely unfamiliar with the ocean aspect of Golarion.  That said, I'd also be willing to help out with conversion.

Seems like PF would be kind of bad for that, though. M&M, maybe?

ya, all the arguments on the "for the love of god stop converting things to 5th ed" sub-reddit also apply to pathfinder.

If you want d20 do it in M&M or one of the other 3-4 systems where your pathfinder experience is basically hot swappable.

As I'm not familiar with M&M, I suggested a system I know.

The system doesn't really exist to be known if you have to generate the entire premise from scratch.

We pitched the closest equivalent hacking system.

Big Eye Small Mouth d20 would be another even closer one that fits the bill. It's just generally worse off for trying to stick closer to d20 ideals.

Lancer would work really well for something like this. I believe they even have a supplement of some kind for playing battleships (admittedly, SPACE battleships, but same principles) instead of mecha.

Honestly, I'd strongly recommend learning another system for this, Hunter - Pathfinder doesn't really have models for large naval entities with the kind of powers and diversity ship people have and while you're welcome to build that system in Pathfinder, it'd be quite an endeavor. Some of the shipfolk can launch bomber fleets and stuff like that, right? I guess you could try Everything Is Dragons: model the boats as very large dragons and have them launch smaller dragons as airships, maybe.

I'm perfectly open to other systems, but I can almost guarantee that I'd have to learn the system too.

What I'm looking for is the shipgirls in a fantasy type setting, which is why I put forward Pathfinder in the first place.

*ponders*

The hardest part is emulating the 'also a ship' aspect in terms of how damage registers and the like.
Kanmusu are known for "magical shipgirl bs" so how does magic interact with them? Normal heavy physical resistances. But maybe like Superman magic just treats them as any other target.

I can look over a few homebrew options for customization. I did think up something like this as a thought experiment once but it used Oslecamo's homebrew material and was gestalt. Both options are something not everyone would want but I might can find a few others.

Besides, if you HAD to I think D20 modern has ship stuff.

Not interested in GMing but I'll dig around.
