I wish to play a Cleric (Death Domain)/ Wizard (Necromancer) who's obsessed with the undead.

If we are using the current Forgotten Realms timeline then Velsharoon is dead by the hands of the Simbul. My characters lifelong goal and driving force is to become a Lich and either take his place as the new god of the undead or to somehow resurrect Velsharoon. He wholeheartedly believes that Velsharoon is 'alive' somewhere. That he, Velsharoon, had sent him visions when he was younger that set him upon this path.

Or, if you wish to go the good guy route ((Easier to GM and maintain)) I do have ideas for that too.
