Re:  Near the Karth Swamp

Dras waits for the  resy of the group. Knowing   her brothers-in-blood would be slowed by the Humans that they had in tow.

She jerked  around, for a moment , she though she  saw a small blueskined  humaniod...most certain she did..the  leaves were  still moving, or was that because of the slight breeze?

The  smell of  the swamp carried  on each breeze...thick fetid smell of rotting  vegatation...growels of Night Hunters..and  splashes came  from both the river and the swamp  could be heard, as Natrue's Hunters were at worl

It was said, only fools ventured near the swamp at night.....

Re:  Near the Karth Swamp

She stood at the ready with her blades drawn, there wouldn't any reason to use her bow at this point, anything could come out quickly at her without any time to draw the string back. She stayed calm though looking around her every now and again, though her low light sight was fading a bit as the night became darker. "Hurry brother." she says to herself.

In about  15 minutes  or  so the  group caught up to Dras. Ivy  will keep the watch, we eat cold tonight. get some sleep, as best you can, that we might move  out an hour before dawn... I am going to stay up awhiles, Ivy , Dras  and I..we will keep our eyes out for campfires...

as the rgoup settles in..and things  get a bit  quiet, there is sounds or  rustling now and again, in the  brush  by the river bank, or in the  thick grasses andbushes  around them..Strange calls  will drift through the pitch black night, One cresant moon rising  , giving feeble  light, the other moon is New  and black.

Haunting Cries that sound like people's voices, begging for aid, ...mournful sounds of Owls  and the  shrieks of Hunting Lizards and warm bloded creatures alike...and the tell tale sounds  of splashes in the wide Storm..as Hunters and Prey, play out thier stories...

Re:  Near the Karth Swamp

Rolf puffs a bit as the catch up.  He wasn't used to anyone outpacing him, except for the woman who taught him the ways of the woods.  But after a few moments, his heart beats a bit slower and his breath evens out.  He didn't mind a cold dinner, as warm as it is about these woods.  Quietly munching his rations and taking the occasional swig from his skin, Rolf's ehes play over the others.  He still wasn't sure of them, but they'd proven themselves so far.

Settling down to his rest, his blade hilts held loosly in his hand, Rolf finds sleep a bit distant as he hears the distant voices.  He didn't feel any great need to go exploring.  He'd help someone if he came across them and they needed it, but it sounded too much like a trap to him.

Re:  Near the Karth Swamp

Keshtheil was thankful for the magical energy that coursed thru him and he made note of checking each of the others once they got to the camp site. He did not need much to eat and he did not sleep like most did. He was taught the old ways of Reverie and followed it. He was not sure if Kree knew of this or not, but knew he had to let him. He walked over to Kree.

"I do not mean to be further a pest, than the lady seem to think I already am, but I will be needing time to refresh my magic. I also do not sleep; I practice Reverie and I just wished you to know, before hand."

Re:  Near the Karth Swamp

Keshtheil nodded to Kree and gave Dras a polite smile, then gave her a wink. If she wished to play him he would accomadate. He again made a mental note to himself and found a suitable place to refresh his magic.

Keshtheil knew that the crystal, on his staff could easily be used as his focus, for the different light spells he had. He would keep his stink cloud and magic missle, at the ready.

Keshtheil had finished his studying and slowly eased into the Reverie. It was, but a few moments, till he was once more home his faced buried deep in book. A sweet breeze  blew thru the trees carrying with it the smell of fresh flowers and the salt from the ocean.

Keshtheil kept reading when he felt a sting, in his ear. He had thought it was a bee sting, but felt it, in the other ear. He again felt the sting this time hitting him, in different places of his body. He now know that it was Teldenar. Keshtheil had once again out done him, in the studies and this was his payment, for such an act.

Keshtheil knew that if he retaliated, in kind it would only mean a beating for him, one that he would get sooner or later from him. It had been like that, for most of his time, on the island, but it was where he had been sent to study.

Keshtheil relived these torments over and over, as the Reverie went on, knowing that this was the way of the Reverie.

Re:  Near the Karth Swamp

It was by the grace of Eta that Justin managed to keep pace with the others. Each mile which passed prompted a quiet prayer of gratitude from him. When at last Kree stopped they had rejoined the drow. Justin quickly found a suitable stone he could sit one that allowed him to both recover from the last 5 miles and give thanks. Within the half hour he had completed his devotion and set about enquiring if any of the others needed provisions for the night. Sharing a portion of his own to those who did not then moving to the next. As the others ate he sat vigil listening to the night sounds which abound. Adjusting to the moonlight glow he was able to tell the others had consumed their evenmeal, enabling him to partake himself.

With eyes closed and head lowered he thanked Eta for this day, her provisions and protection for all throughout the night. He then partook of his portion, loosed his armour and was quickly asleep sword and shield in hand against possible surprise

Keshtheil blinks a few times to get his eyes acclimated to the darkness, as well as gather himself and began searching it. He instantly had his spells ready in his  mind.

Keshtheil takes note, of the creatures and part of him is intrigued, by what they are, but he takes notice to the small dagger like swords knowing that they mean him harm. He reaches into his satchel finding the correct pouch; opening it and takes out a pinch, of the substance. He then begins gathering the energy around him and speaks the words to release the energy at them, as his hands make a rocking motion back and forth. He lets the substance slowly fall to the ground.

Kesh curses to himself, as he sees his magic doing nothing. A part of him though, is amazed at the small creatures abilities to cancel out his magic and makes a few mental notes, as the first dagger whistles, by him. He takes, in a sharp pained breath, as the second blade sinks, into his thigh. Thoughts instantly begin forming, in his mind, as he fears the blade maybe poisoned.

Kesh reaches down and quickly pulls it, from the wound holding, on to it, so it cna be checked. A whelp of pain, followed by a cruse leaving his lips. He does not staunch the wound letting it bleed freely, in the hopes it will drag some, of the poison, if any from the wound.

"Little miscreant, stabbed by leg. Do you know, if they use poison, on their blades? If so, I do hope someone might have an antidote, of some sorts."

She would chuckle a bit and walked over to him, taking up his leg to look it over.

Rolf moves closer to the fallen creatures, intent on learning more about them.  He uses his dagger and a stick, carefully prodding at the scales, looking at the talons and the teeth.  He considers their wounds, trying to decide what attacks worked best upon them.  "Nasty looking beasts." he observes to no one in particular.

"You are correct, with your assumptions, but I think their most important weapon would be their ability to nulify magic, as well as sending it back at the caster. Those are two amazing and useful abilities to have."

Kesh went back to taking a small bit of flesh from the soft under belly. When a thought crossed his mind.

Justin nods. Without moving from the centre of the ship he slowly stands draws his sword and resumes his seat. Laying the ready weapon flat across his lap

Re:  Near the Karth Swamp

Rolf finds a place near the front of the ship.  The sailors seemed to have all sorts of special names for directions, but for him, the front was the front, the back was the back, left was left and right was right.  Why they tried to take something so simple and make it hard was beyond his ken.

But there he stood, knees slightly bent to take the slight sway of the ship and his bow stave in hand and eye's gazing ahead.

"How long will it take to reach the Free near Black Timber?"  While there was something to be said for moving along by boat, Rolf still preferred using his own legs to get where he was going.  "Are Cat folk known to scurry about in these parts?"  With that question, his eye takes a glint of something hard and unforgiving.

Ivy Nocks  an arrow  as his  eyes  keep  moving over the  waters. This ship wasn't  so big that  a Serpant couldn't  tip it over.

They call it the Free...short  for Free Ferry. The elves  that man our  side of the ferry do not  charge, but the Humans on the Ironmound side of  it do...we should reach the  Ferry in a few  Hours or so..barring  mishap. As  For CAt folk? The Black Timber is in the  HAnds of the  RAzorhawk  Elves, but...we ..by no means..control it. There are beasts  a plenty there, and  the CAtfolk and Goblins  range as much as the Orcs  and the Slavers....a good place to earn bonties..if you  can survive

Re:  Near the Karth Swamp

Kree and Ivy look at each other, and to Drasius, they smile  and  chuckle  jujst a bit, when we first came to these lands, we made, but a short stop in Ironmound. We took a bounty to hunt slavers  and such...Cleaned up rather well...there was ...at the time...a small elven Village. Fierce  warriors...they were. But thier leadership was older and weak..they hide, ..they did not hunt. We brought a group of slaves  there, near some 30 people, humans, elves..a  dwarf or so...nearly half of them asked to be allowed to stay in the Village, that they might strike out  against  slavers  and bandits  and such.

The Elders, frowned on this. they wanted to remain hidden..they wanted  no part of  battling the slavers,  I had been...a bit vocal....

Ivy grins,...by abit, he means he went ot loggerheads with them..

After  a bit, they allowed the people to stay, the rest were escorted to Ironmound, to find thier  way  to thier homes. We brough in alot of coin, and that coin was fed back into the Village. We gbegan to fortify it, and more and more Elf groups filtered in to join the clan, and any slaves we rescued  , who wanted to fight back, joined as well.

Razorhawk Village is the home of the  Crimson Arrows...the 'walk the Planl' is  our base in the city....we can find  help, and most aid  we need in the Village..these bodies  we bring, will help as well...

Rolf looks a bit annoyed at Justin's observation.  "Just getting ashore leaves a lot to be done, once I have cat folk before me, then I'll share your thanks, though I know not of the god Almighty."

As quickly as possible Justin alights from the boat. Once he's on more stable ground he helps with the bodies. Aye Goodfellow Kree, Two hours be a goodly time t'will help work out any kinks we may have got aboard. he smiles contently  grasps an offered arm and throws the body across his shoulders. Turning he strides up along wharf away from the boat.

Rolf moves to assist with the second body.  Seeing Justin hoist the body himself, "Want a hand?  If Justin does, then Rolf will move to do so.  Otherwise, Rolf will make his bow ready and guard the others on the march to Razorhawk Village.

Rolf nods, then adds, "Speak up if you grow weary and I'll carry the beast for a bit."  With that, Rolf moves a bit further afield and as Dras ranges ahead, Rolf tends to drop back to flank the group.
