A tbale near the hearth had plates of Oatmeal and bowels of sausages.  Hot  Kaffe was seeing in warmers on the table, along  with Milk and Honey...plates were set up for all but  two.

The owner laid the plates out, and greeted  the  Arrows  as they came to teh Table, Kree and Ivy  are at the Gates, getting   the last minute supplies, they were down here a good two hours ago..they said to make sure ya all eat..gonna be a long tenday....

In reply to donsr (msg #1):

Justin had risen much earlier breakfasted and engaged in his  morning vigil. During which he noticed Kree and Ivy activities. Returning to the Inn to collect his belongings and a quick bite of food before heading to meet the Elves.

Re: The Cat Hunt

Rolf, ever an early riser, comes striding in after having loomed about the town a bit.  As towns go, this o e was okay but he would like to return to his forest home.  But that was not to be and there was the cursed cat folk to be thrashed.  Coming back and interested in breaking his fast, Rolf ate rather more heartedly than usual.

Re: The Cat Hunt

In reply to Durzak Glorgrim (msg #4):

Duran woke early and set about his morning ritual. Finding a quiet place where he would not be disturbed he first knelt in deep meditation to centering himself. he sat silently, searching for the stillness of what his mentor Aden used to refer to as the void. The void was a place where nothing else mattered but that moment in time. Aden had taught him to center himself in that way, heightning both his awareness of what was around him, and also increasing his reflexes and shortening his reaction time.

When he had finished his meditation, Duran spent the next hour running through the forms of battle. Flowing from defensive stance to deadly offensive strikes in a fluid motion as if he were dancing with some unseen partner.

When he had finished, the warrior gathered his belongings and tied them in their place on the back of his coal black stallion, Abastor. As he did Duran spoke soft words or reassurance to the high-spirited animal. It was clear to even the casual observer that the warrior and his steed shared a special bond.

Gearing up, Duran mounted Abastor and kneed him forward. "Come on boy," he urged softly, "for today we hunt."

Seeing the others gathered by the city gate, Duran approached. "Nice day to be out and about." he remarked, with a slight grin. He rode up stopping next to the warrior of Eta. "Brother Justin, I pray your Lady is in good humor and favors us this day."

Re: The Cat Hunt

Kree and Ivy  are onsmaller  slender horses, with light  saddles. There are  some Younger Warriors  at the  Gate  tah ask any  of the Arrows  if they need   extra missle weapons. Any who wish, the warriors  will hand them one  quiver of thier chosen missle weapon.

There  is also a small package for each, that contains  one tenday of rations, and One bottle of healing potion. It is plain to see That Kree and Ivy  have already gathered thiers.

Kree's  Father approaches the group. He nods to Kree and Ivy , the addresses the rst as well.It would seem you are short one Arrow, My son?

The elf nods  as he looks back towards the InnDrasius  is ill, she will rejoin us  when she is healthy.

The elder Quickshadow, turns to  the rest, we would have liked to give you more healing, But we have needs of the Village to think about  as well...4 days  from now, I will send a patrol out, to see if you need  aid...that is the best we can do for now.

Ivy  Chuckles,4 days  Uncle?  In for days , we will all either be dead, or on our  way back with cat pelts...

You  have been around my son too long, Ivyian..ETa  smiole on you all...

Kree gives  a nod to the gatekeeper who op[ens the door as Kree says, and  may Neta  Kiss our foes on the lips...

Krell frowns  at the name of Neta...but  waves to them as they head out the  gate.....

In reply to Duran Owedoc (msg #5):
As he looks about the group Justin mirrors Duran's petition to Eta. Noting the group are mounted Absently rubbing his chin One doth surmise the group intends to travel fast, as obvioused by the mounts. If this is the case would it not have been advisable to inform each of the intent. As Thee can see One doth not possess such

Re: The Cat Hunt

Kree Points to the  warriors  who were at the gates, Holding  a a halfdozen horses, Much Like Ivy and Kree's  mounts. Lightly  saddled, with just places to hook a quiver or pack if needs be.

Pick one, My friend. Once  we reach or destination, we  must loose the horse to be on thier own...and  will recall them should we win...But we cannot use them in the ambush.

Re: The Cat Hunt

The Horse rode out the gates  and  down the  dirt road. Now and again an elf  would appear from the  trees to wave them on, and just as fast they would be gone.

Once they cleared the forest, they head East down the trade road, that was  well south of  Ironmond and many of her allied cities. When Kree thought it was safe  enough to speak aloud  , he turned in his saddle and said, another halfday's ride, and we will be at the next logical ambush place. A caravan bearing Weapons, and spell componants will be coming upo this road. Many merchants do not  want to pay the duty that Mouri or  Ironmond  asks of them. So they beach thier ships and  hire Mercs to guard them while they caravan thier goods up this road..they Stop an Vall  and Mok, sometimes going into the  Great Desert. They even Sail the Unther  River, which gives them a chance to sell to the Sand folks...but, if they want to reach the bigger towns, they have to come this  way. Get to Tou Lake  and sail across or  travel around, Visit Tou and Sail from there, from Tou, they can reach Us , or head to Ironmond  without the duty, since they did not travel any areas protected by Ironmond regulars.

when we reach the arera  near the Crossroads, we will release the horses, they will return to the Village...we  will Set out ambush at the eastern endge of the small forest the  trade road passes through...we will be able to see them setting thier  ambush, while covered by the trees...any questions?

Justin gawks at the reply then grins at the mental image Thee suggest One climbs a tree, most interesting. Hopefully we hath sufficient ropes to enable one to swing down or descend without the need to rely on natural attraction.

not  to worry, Good  Justin. The trees are thick and strong in these parts... Ivy still laughs  a bit, But Kree's eyes  are  alrady focused on the road, as he kicks his horse  a bit.
