Cru listened to the instructions and nodded along with Luthien.  Ay, me as well, he said.  I've brought my own drink with me for me and my fella.  Tis all I need.

Luthien considers, "Understood...but do you want a division of talents, or would you like those similar to stick together?"

He's asking if he should go with Sir Justin, who is like him in most ways that matter, or someone like Ivy himself, who is aware of the sneakier side of life.

Taking up a position to the left of Kree, Justin moved along the crowded street. His hand resting on his swords pummel, ready to draw it if need, his other carried his shield which was angled slightly to divert any who pressed to close or easily break the hand of any who may tried to lift his purse.

Diana was unimpressed.  She had seen the likes of towns like this before, up north.
She knew enough to be on her guard at all times.  She had seen the consequences of letting down her guard, in towns like this before.  As she followed the other arrows, she observed those around them.  Watching for "tells", things that would separate out a potential ally from a sworn enemy.

Re: OLANT

Lucy kept her distance from the other arrows.  While anyone observing her couldn't be completely sure if the was an arrow or not.  She knew towns like Olant, and she also knew that "her kind" had an "in." Catfolk were expected to be slavers and the like.  While she really hated playing that role, she had found it extremely useful in the past.  Especially when dealing with towns like Olant.
that's why she kept her distance, yet kept close.

When the Arrows got to where they were going, she asked Kee if she could have a word with him.

"I have an idea that could work.  I know you are probably opposed to being undercover, but I think I am an exeption to that rule.  I can blend in with the catfolk, and their ilk, and see what can be found out.  I just need two others to go with me." She said.

"When I was up north, and coming this way, there was word of a Catfolk information broker.  He wasn't a slaver, but instead, he was a broker of information.  So, if you wanted information on a good place to hit, you went to him.  The last I heard, he was in Olant.  If I can find him, for a price, we can get some information." She said.

As they came closer to the town, Riku did what she does best...she went invisible.  Hanging over the heads of others, she overheard the questions, inquiries and ideas.  Having her own idea, she ventured off to explore the down.  Going this way and that, and checking for spots where unbeknownst questionables would be.  She was listening for clues, details, information.

Cru had heard the warning to be on guard and watch out for oneself.  With his companion at his side, he tucked away any knowledge of who he was or what group he was with and headed towards this Inn that Kree had noted they would be staying at.  The least he could do would be to find room, board, and be a watcher.

Re: OLANT

Rolf looks at the town of Olant with barely concealed contempt.  He minded not the women plying their trade.  He cared little for what he'd heard of the Halfling folk and would quickly put blade to them if needs be, and of course slavers of all stripe deserved to be put down.  But for a town to not only allow, but openly accept the Cat Folk, that was enough to turn his stomach.

For now, he would keep his mouth shut, his eyes and ears open and his blade sheathed and he'd keep it that way until he had good reason to do otherwise.

Re: OLANT

Before entering the Town, The  Group walked into  Hook's that was on the docks.  , Kree  Looked at a brunette that was  Smiling  by the Door, he gave her a small smile, but  walked past her..which cause her to frown , just a Bit.  He grasped the Handle of the Doulble doors  and opened them Both swinging them Open HArd...on purpose. the  right Door  caught a  Heavy set Human in the back and caused Him to splash His ale  on another Human who sat at a small round table near the  Door.

The Heavy set Man Shouted,..YOu there!..You gods be damned , pointed  ear BAstard..You own Me a drink...and some coin to go with it..  The elf  Looks  over his shoulder at the man  and sneers, never stopping.. The MAn  Reaches  for a  Mace that hangs from His belt, Did You not hear ,me!

Kree kept walking to the Bar, his eyes  set on the Tender. Ivy  chuckles   and says to the fellow,...Do not press your Luck...Round bottom....The Sisters like he, alot more then they like you...

The Heavy set fellow turns  and grits his  teeth at Ivy...his eyes  note the Pin on Ivy's  Tunic...the  Big Man looks to  Kree and talks his hand off the Mace.

At the BAr,  Kree makes no pretense  of politeness as he shoulders  between a Man and a woman, both  dressed as Pirates..He leans over the bar , the Tender takes a step back,..The Captain of the HAlfling Ship.....now....

The  Tender Looks at two Pirates..both of them Move off.  The woman had  her hand on her Dirk, until she saw some of the others  at the door.

..Lookit..every time  some of yours come to town..people die...Just..leave us alone...

..you want me to ask again?

The Tender looks at people around him..some  are  weighing those who followed the 2 elves in......Captain  Buttonsnip?...She's  In the  Town...think she's  bar hopping, trying to recruit crew.....

Kree eyes the  fellow...the  Tender Looks scared, as  he  keeps wiping the same Goblet he had  since the group entered. The elf   Reaches Inside his  tunic  and   slams  5 gold  down on the bar,..Thank ye.....but?..If i find she's not there?...I will be back...and...well..You will not like it....

Taking a Pitcher of Ale from those lined up on the  bar, He turns and heads back to the Door, slams the Pitcher on the  table, sloshing  ale as he says to the  Heavy Man,..There is your  drink...tonight?..Thank Tymora, I am in a goodly mood...

Walkingout the Door, he  points to the  dirt road that leads to Olant Itself...as they Walk, He says to the Group,...we need to work this town..and quickly...right now..word is going to travel , that I am Looking for the Halfing Captain.... Lucy has a Plan, she needs  two folks to work with Her...it cannot be  Ivy or Myself..we are too well known...if we are to split up..we must do it before we enter the Gates..who is going where..with Who...i want everyone at the Iron Mace by 1 hr after sunset...

Re: OLANT

Tatton is sitting in the same dark corner of the Hook that he's been sitting in for the last several days, nursing his ale like it's likely to be his last and staring off into space.  He's been sitting in that seat day after day long enough now to have become a fixture--ignoring and largely ignored by everybody in the place.

Even when the commotion starts by the door with the stranger slamming the door open; Tatton doesn't really pay any attention.  Fights and arguments are commonplace in the Hook and he's learned that the trick to staying out of trouble is to not make eye contact with anyone.  Then the newcomer asks about the Halfling captain and Tatton hears that from all the way across the room.  Now they have his attention.  Straining and hanging on every word, Tatton listens for the answer and watches as the man, no, elf exits.

Gulping the last of the ale from his tankard, the fixture leaves his seat and makes a beeline for the door.  Instead of walking through it, he peeks out to see the stranger and a goodly sized group walking up the track into Olant.  Tatton swallows hard, his throat has suddenly gone dry, and steps out to watch them move away and hears mention of the Iron Mace.  Quickly, the scruffy, dirty man slips down the alley to the back of the Hook where the stables are located and after a quick glance around, digs through the moldering hay to retrieve his backpack and staff.

After slipping his pack on, he stops and shakes his head and mumbles to himself, "Tat, what are you doing?  You've no idea what you're gettin' yourself in for."  Slipping the glove off his right hand, Tatton looks down at his palm for a long moment then nods his head as if he's made a decision.  Slipping the glove back on, he grabs his staff and with a grim expression sets out toward Olant.  There has to be a reason why the mark has returned and his "gut feeling" is too clear to ignore.

"Tra, if you're the cause of this, I'm listening," he mumbles as he steps back into the open on the track toward Olant.

Justin pauses to survey the way they came; glimpsing a figure join the path and head after them. True this road is one of many to Olant, and the person can be headed there for their own interests however its always safe to be sure and their appearance is suspect. " the Fang and tooth"...'soft Arms"...'cold Blades'... Mug's  Up... Branch of Fire...they all have their share of Bad  folks....some  are worse then others... The KArth Temple is on the West side of the Town..the Temple that holds   all the  smaller  shrines to theother gods  , is in the South west corner...stay away from their  arena...and do not  bother  anyone  dressed in Purple..they are ...  he spits on the ground,..the Governor's people...if you kill any of them..make  sure its   out of sight...there are shops  about..Might be good to  browse, to make it look like we are egaring up for a trip, up the Furman's  Chain...if  you hit trouble you cannot handle...break away..and  come find  us at the Iron MAce...

Re: OLANT

Tatton looks up for the first time as his foot strikes the path toward Olant.  Realizing that the group isn't as far ahead of him as he thought they would be, the scruffy man hesitates for just an instant then speeds up.  Head down and walking with a purpose, he passes right through the loosely gathered group and continues at a good pace through the gate.

His clothes are worn and dirty. As he walks by, you realize that his vest was once green with white trim.  Now it is greenish gray and the white is more brown.  The remainder of his clothes are unremarkable, if you discount the filth, except for his gloves with the finger-tips cut out and a golden pendent of an arrow that has slipped out of the neck of his shirt.  It is obvious, as he walks by, that it is not just his clothes that are dirty.

Warily Justin watches the figure approach, moving aside as he rudely pushes through the group and continues on his way, resisting the impulse to suggest the man learn the manners. Once he's put some distance between them and himself Justin turns to Kree Captain; One shall accompany Thee anst see what trouble be afoot in the Iron Mace.

Let us be about it then...we need  some information  on what we seek...even a rumor  will do..something to point us in the right direction....  He  hefts  his Bow  and  Turns to walk up the  Muddy road. 2 Lazy Guards  lean against the wall, watching them.

..You know?  Kree?...We should come down here for a week..just to kill enough of these folks, to make it a nicer place...  he says this  aloud  with a grin.

One or the Guard  Gives him the  Universal sign, whose meaning has something to do with copulating with one's self.

Luthien would also explore the town, wearing his pin openly. A man like him was about as subtle as a ton of bricks anyway. Perhaps he'd stop by the temple first...the one that served all faiths. Good a place for him as any.

As Kree and those Going with Him walked up "main street"..they notice the town is  layed  out in rather neat squares...to the west is the   Temple  Luthien would seek... the  Top of the   KArth temple can easily be seen...a Wagon shop is  right  down the  street from the gates

A fur shop is  on the east side of the street...signs  pointing the way to  the Inns and Taverns Kree has Mentioned. They would see a Bow  shop  Just  halfway down the  street..Kree thought  about visiting it, but thought better of it, as they Headed to  the Iron MAce.

Rolf follows along behind Kree, eyes narrowing as he looks about the place.  It did not suit the ranger at all.  As Kree talks about the Dwarf wanting a cut of any kills they make, Rolf shrugs.  He wasn't interested in gathering up a few meager coins on those upon whom he gives death.
