Re: Trader's Rest

She remained quite, looking to the newcomer with a frown though that frown would have been unseen. It seemed like they kept getting newcomers joining up only to leave just as quickly. With a glance to the others, Riven just went about camp, helping where she could.

Re: Trader's Rest

She wished that she had gone out with Ivy but figured he would have had better luck without her trailing behind making more noise so she opted to stay with the others. Once the camp was set up, Tyri found a little spot out of the way and began to dance to unheard music, her torso and hips moving in an sensual way with arm and leg movements that complimented. "Hey Moltke...what are you doing?" she asked softly, not stopping her movements but noticing that he had cast something.

Moltke looks up while in the middle of picking up nearby firewood, taking care not to stray too far from the effects of his magic.
I am casting a spell over this area that will provide another layer of protection over it. It's also quite comfortable inside compared to the rough outdoors. Besides, one can never be too careful.

Elandra helped gather wood and water for their camp. When she was done helping set up camp she first knelt towards the setting sun and said payers to Amot. When her prayers were done she joined the rest of the group.

Re: Trader's Rest

Alyna partook of the wine-laced tea, if there was enough, procuring a mug from her own supplies.  And then, hearing that their lieutenant was out trying to get some game, decided to prepare to do her part in the evening meal.

She had some decent vegetables from her last round of foraging, as well as the mild, tasty spices she usually packed with her.    Finding a place to work, she laid out a clean cloth, took out a small knife, and began to dice up the veggies.

Singing softly to herself while she did:

"Oh, four came a riding
Out to the baron's valley
One a thief in hiding
One a killer called Sally
Oh, what big plans they laid
Riches for all and sundry
The bar tab ne'er got paid
As the bard stole their money..."

She had a pleasant, soothing voice, for folk songs and tavern ditties, if no professional minstrel...

Re: Trader's Rest

Miranda surveyed the camp-site; spotting a suitable place to rest for the night. Sitting she attended her equipment then read her scriptures.

After Krwyn had secured the campsite, he sought a place for his night close to the small fire, but still in the shadows. He listens to the soft song of the newcomer, while waiting for the food to be ready.

Farora brings back an armful of wood from her scouting and settles beside Lysander while eating her meal and fiddling with beads, another new one. What do you make of her?

Re: Trader's Rest

an hour or so after  the Camp was being set,  Ivy  came back  with   small Roe  deer  and two Grouse.

Kree looked  at   Ivy, who looked disgusted,I missed  a  Buck with a rack as  wide as  Farora can spread her arms..

It was good you did. No use killing a grand beast like that, for one  night's  dinner..   lets  get the  Meet ready  and we'll make a   grouse , deer stew.

the  water  was bubbling  ,  Kree  added a couple sticks of wood the other  brought

th darkness came faster, this   close to the  slopes... outward over the lands, the last fingers of Light tried to hold on..

Lysander told Farora, "Seems legit, but then a little dainty for my taste.  Singing out here, and not even a Dwarvish song!"

Which is appropriate, why would a woman want to sing anything which is generally the province of a Base Baritone.

Lysander laughs, "M'lady, my voice, when singing, is said to scare animals into hibernation.  Perhaps it would even sound like a call to arms to every orc within a hundred miles."

Interesting. Will it draw these warlike Orcs to us; it would make things easier for us as we'd not have to search for them.

Lysander almost roared with laughter, then he remembered that they were somewhat exposed, so he quickly stifled it.  "Easier to fight them in groups of less than 100, M'lady."

Ahha. I see you're concerned for our welfare: being buried alive by the piles of corpses collapsing on us, would be quite odious.

"What can I say, I am a nice guy at heart, thinking about my mates.  Of course, when we were in Ironmound and I got my first pirate kills with the Arrows, it was hard to see the Orcs that cleaned up the bodies and not attack them.  I gritted my teeth and bore it.  If I can put up with working with Elves, I can stand seeing some Orcs keeping the streets clean of dead pirates.

So, are you enjoying your sojourn with us?"
