Re: Trader's Rest

Ivy  turned  and  hissed towards   Kree,  Kree gave  a Hand  signal and  stepped  out and Up to be above the alcove-like  cave.

Ivy     snaped a finger    and Pointed to the slope  north and east from them.. if one  had the right eyes, and the lighting  flashed  enough, the  Body could be seen.

As the others   moved, Ivy stepped out into the   rain, , more or less to draw the  figure's  eye.. Kree was already kneeing  , above the   cave with his bow ready.

Hail..... traveler.. if you seek  Shelter, come to my voice... should  you be HArgen, or Ironwood, turn around......and run.

Hearing Ivy's movement, Tyri readied her bow and turned to where he was pointing, icy blue eyes searching in the night for the source.

Re: Trader's Rest

Through her heavy breathing and thundering heartbeat, Aeraynne heard a voice. It welcomed her but there was real menace in the warning to obvious enemies. If they were bandits, she wouldn't have been warned off. Nor welcomed probably. But with the rain and the increasing pain in her ankle, there was little choice. Continue to try and elude proven foes behind her or embrace possible allies ahead. She went straight for the voice.

"Help, please," She called out as the glow from the fire was now obviously close. "I need shelter. Please."

Kree  would stay on station at the  top.. wile Ivy  went  to meet the figure . As  he offered a shoulder to the Limping person he said, quietly.Ivyain Nighrtblade, of the Crimson Arrows...  as they  neared  the encloser  with trap  held  down with heavy stone, the newcomer  would hear..

Re: Trader's Rest

Aeraynne stopped short when people appeared. It was dark and rainy and the activity was just too much to track in her condition. The one she did see clearly offered her a shoulder, which she immediately fell upon heavily. Her ankle didn't feel as bad when she first landed at the base of the slope, but the pain had worsened and she could feel the tightened fit in her boot.

"Thank you, Ivyain. I'm Aeraynne." That was going to get confusing. "I was ambushed by Ironwood elves. My companions have fallen, and I don't know if I'm being pursued any longer."

Leaning on Ivyein, Aeraynne stopped putting any weight on her sore ankle, hopping along with him back to the camp. Once inside their shelter, she was approached by a priestess who offered to help with her injuries. Ivyain helped lower her to the ground, where she pushed back to lean against the wall.

"Thank you Elandra. It's my ankle. I tumbled down a slope but I think I made it worse by running on it. I don't think I have any other major injuries. I'm sure I have cuts scrapes and bruises. I was running through briar and bramble alike, but everything hurts at this point."

Lysander backtracked the path the figure had come from, quietly searching for signs of pursuers.  He stopped among the trees a bit away from camp, ignoring the rain and waited for a while in the dark.  He took note of where Krwyn was.

Standing in the entry Miranda stayed Ivy's passage as she knelt offering a Prayer to the Sisters and tending to Aeraynne's injury. Rising she gave the newcomer a smile. Welcome Aeraynne. I am Miranda of the Glen. May the Sisters hands guide your path.

Far from the unfriendly greeting she expected, Aeraynne was both relieved and pleased that the members of this group were all so welcoming. She smiled at the elfmaid Miranda offering up prayer, and appreciated the efforts of Elandra towards her injuries as well.

"Thank you everyone. Truly. I was so desperate. Just being among good friendly people has warmed me."

Elandra quickly went to work, she carefully removed Aerayanne's boot, and checked her injuries. Then she put her hands together, they began to glow then she lays them on her ankle and casts her healing spell. With her minor injuries the spell should heal everything fully.

Elandra then said," How do you feel now, and may Peace always be with you." Then Elandra reached into her pack got a half loaf of bread, then got Aeraynne a bowl of stew.

Things having settled for the time being, the newcomer apparently no threat, Alyna was on the verge of returning to the camp.

However, she then noted Krwyn heading out; plainly with the intent of making certain the perimeter area was in truth safe and clear.

Surely, it would not hurt to offer him some cover;  and thus she watched, and moved to keep him in her sight, if need be. Canceling her spell, reverse-fading back into view, so she wouldn't accidentally surprise him. Her bow at the ready, if he should be menaced by anyone while he worked.

Elandra smiled at Miranda and replied," Why would you say that, I was given these divine gifts to help and protect others isnt that what I am using them for. If someone wishes to follow Amot I would help them but I dont heal others to get them to be followers I do it because it is the right thing to do." Elandra was unsure why Miranda seemed to not like her lately and making comments on her actions. Elandra wished Miranda nothing but Peace and good fortune.

Krwyn noticed Alyna giving him cover and Lysander taking position as well. He gives both a thumbs up, before concentrating on the slopes in front, especially the direction the newcomer had come from. His bow ready, he waits with the patience of his elven ancestry.

Krwyn:

And, a secondary reason she watched was because of that ancestry. A half-breed, she had grown up among human kind, with exposure to few full-blood elves.   And she did wonder about them; observing this one, as he flitted through the trees and terrain.

Lysander was a reassuring presence, not too far off.   Solely because she had the suspicion that enemies didn't stand up long, before those axes...

"If I didn't know any better, I'd say Miranda is merely jealous that you beat her to helping this one out," Riven gave an unseen smirk, watching the two. For whatever reasons, Miranda seemed to be growing more...irate with Elandra, judging and deeming the human woman unworthy...at least that was how it seemed. "Surely you are not second-guessing the Captain's judgment in allowing Elandra to accompany us?" She quirked a brow, crystal blue eyes studying the other elven woman with a curiosity. "This is hardly a time for a pissing contest."

Re: Trader's Rest

It was confusing that such a small thing as helping someone could result in a spat. Surely Aeraynne didn't want to be any trouble to anyone, but this actually didn't sound like it was about her specifically. While she felt the urge to speak, she was too exhausted, and she doubted it would help anyway. Instead she remained quiet as she turned her foot about.

"Did someone mention stew?"

Kree  dropped down off the  alcove   top  and  slipped in under the   tarp...we have   some stew  with  venison and fowl with  some vegetables, there is some bread left and that bottle of  wine  has a mug or two left in it. The wine may  a bit Mulled  from being near the fire

Looking around at all the Arrows,  Kree  says in a  quiet and cold manner...seek not to anger  me over  petty arguments  over gods  and who gets the first spell cast... This  is the Arrows.. if  you seek more praise, dear Cousin. perhaps you might   find it better   with Reedrick   at The Plank' or Back home in the Timber

another look around at the others once more... Get everyone inside the    camp,  all need to be  dried  and  rested for tomorrow

Flicking  droplets of his arrow  and bow to the Boulder  'front' of the  enclosure  kree says to the new person...You are the second person we  found  this day. How  came you  to this  spot, this time of night?

Ivy listened  as he  secured  the  north side against the wind  and  rain.

Elandra smiled at Aeraynne, and made sure her foot was completely healed and then said," You will be fine and may Peace be with you always."

Elandra just kept smiling she seemed fairly unaffected by what had happened, all Elandra wants to do is help others and make evil doers pay for their crimes. Elandra then excused herself from the group found a dry corner, kneeled and did her evening prayers.

Re: Trader's Rest

Aeraynne smiled back at Elandra. Elandra was right. Her ankle felt much better. It was as if it were never injured. "It feels much better thank you. And thank you for your blessing." Aeraynne wasn't religious, but a blessing was always an act of kindness worthy of gratitude.

While the members of the this band were all quite pleasant, the leader had little patience for the bickering. With a quick rebuke, the conflict ended and the elf Miranda went about her business. While he issued his order, Aeraynne went and accepted some of that stew he offered with a bit of bread and wine. When she settled back into her spot, he turned his attention back to her.

"I was part of a team to scout ahead of a merchant caravan. I was with two others when we were ambushed by the Ironwood elves." This was the second time she had to recount her story, but it was a small price to pay for his hospitality. "My comrades fell in a hail of arrows. I don't know if I was just lucky or they chose not to kill me, but I fled into the forest. I am sure they pursued me at first but after that I was so focused on escaping that I could only hear my own heartbeat and the thundering sky. I kept running but I took a step too far and tumbled down the slope" She pointed. "I saw the glow of your fire and ran for it, hoping you weren't bandits or slavers."
