Although our post count shows a measely 45,000 posts or so, our actual number of posts is over 400,000.  (We lost count a few years ago.)  We just keep editing it down for archives so we don't blow the server's mind. ;)

A Serious Waste of Time (ASWoT) is where many players come to post in mini-games or RP conversations between posting in their larger, roleplaying games.  It's a nice hangout while you have to wait for the players in your other games.

At last count, we had 442,378 posts at ASWoT (including the 400,000 or so that have been archived to avoid weighing down the server), and that only includes posts by current players.  I have no way of calculating the total with former players too.  That's a lot of posts, but it can always use more.

It's in the first post in the bumper cars thread.  Remember, no other ASWoT person may bump this thread until at least seven full 24 hour days have gone by since the last ad bump. :D

So there's this really fun free-form game called A Serious Waste of Time where we play a lot of word and puzzle games and otherwise sit back chat and enjoy the free form adventures we occasionally go on.  It's not really a game you can win at (well, there's the royalty thread), but if you're a textaholic and people just aren't posting to other games enough, come give this one a try.  I can't promise that we'll all be fast enough to sate your craving for the game to go faster, but you'll have fun along the way.

The game's been running for almost a solid decade now.  We've had many people come and go and many people stick around for a long time.

You know, this game is pretty awesome.  I just ran the numbers in the Cast List and we're only 40k posts away from 500,000 posts over the lifetime of the game.  People have come, and people have gone, and people have returned, and everyone has a good time.

Edit: by request, a lot of posts were archived then deleted off RPOL so the overall post numbers don't look that high. But the cast post counts don't lie.
