The city of Al-Jalasa is a ghost town. The streets, once teeming with life, are now empty, buildings half-buried in the sand carried by warm winds from the desert. The once impressive Sanctum now lies in ruins, the waterways run dry, the plants have all withered and not even the local wildlife dares set foot on this corrupted ground anymore. The cause of all this devastation is unknown to this day.
However, 500 years prior to the disaster, Al-Jalasa was alive and vibrant; the crown jewel of the continent, it's reputation that of the largest and most versatile trading place reachable from land and the sea. People gathered from all over to visit it, be in for business or pleasure, as Al-Jalasa had both in abundance.
This story takes place at that time; when Al-Jalasa was in it's prime. When nobody was yet aware of the dreadful fate that awaited it and when the Dog was still the law.
This is a High-Fantasy, Freeform, Sandbox, adult-rated game, with a wide variety of available character ideas and a GM open to discussions about them, as well as in-game ideas. The story will be player-driven, which means you are allowed to come up with your plots, as long as they fit the initial game idea and you've cleared them with the GM. We are seeking players who don't mind a slower posting rate and are looking for some highly adventurous fun, sprinkled with adult-themed elements.
Also, this is a slice-of-life kind of a game. Just "regular" people, living their regular lives, in a medieval/Arabic setting, engaging in mutual interaction, so we are not looking for any villains or massively overpowered characters, but seek balance among players and focus on social interaction.
We are at capacity with Dragons as a playable race at the moment, and we would love us some non-Elves as well. :)
