Amber is highly setting-specific, i.e. you need to read (and hopefully love) the books.

If that fits you, you're right for this game.

If not, and you love fantasy, pick up the Great Book of Amber which has all 10 Roger Zelazny novels of the saga in it.

If you don't have the rules, they are available in PDF (if you don't want to fork out $100 or so for a used print copy) from drivethruRPG.
