Vance was one of the most creative and inspirational GMs you'd ever gamed with. Every time you played, it felt as though you were there, in the game - and better yet, his campaigns always seemed to scratch the itch you were feeling exactly. Just the right amount of combat, roleplaying, puzzles, and drama...

...and then, one day, it all got a little too real.

GURPS Greyhawk is a crossworlds game in which ordinary gamers from Earth find themselves in Oerth, Dungeons and Dragons's Greyhawk setting. Gameplay will involve learning the ins and outs of being an adventurer along with copious amounts of downtime spent just living in a fantasy realm while you try and find your way home... or, just to figure out what's happened to you. This is a long-term but finite length campaign.

GURPS newcomers are welcome. You will not need any books in order to play. Character creation will be occur as we go, rather than before we start. All you need is a strong idea of who you were before you were transported. It is not recommended to play yourself, or a version of yourself.

There is a dungeon fantasy GURPS variant that seeks to emulate typical Dungeons and Dragons play. We're not using that. Instead, the vibe we're going for is "what if gamers found themselves in a grim medieval setting full of magic and danger."
