 Heather smiled and said, Thank you again Ben, yeah I will see you then, I am having breakfast with Coach Sims after I get  taped up. Thank you I will do my best and I am very happy to be a Dragon.

 Heather would head into the complex to get taped up before her breakfast meeting with Coach Sims.

Ben slotted into his normal routine and went for a swim before he got ready for the game.

     the player s  came out, Adam  had on   a Dragon's  T-shirt and his football  pants, the mists  were coming, there would be no  sun today

 he tested  his n  cleats, he was using  Molded  rubber.

 Smokey  was  Putting to the South  side of the   stadium. he looked a little lost.

  The Texans  were on the other side of the  Filed ,  Adam  would catch a  PAss from one of the other Guys  , as he waited  for  Duke to come out

 the Refs  were lined up on the  50, to make sure the teams didn't 'get chippy'..Ink Flatts # 20  shouted over.....HEY!..BRONK!..ain't gonna be  like  last game!

  Bronk looked over,  he tilted  his head,who the hell  are  you?.. did you even play in the last game?..Shut the fuck up, unless i know  who the Hell you are...

  The DB  charged  towards  the  50 yard line.    two  Refs  Stepped  in front of him and pointed him back to   his side  of the  50.

 ..I'm Gonna knock you out, Midget!

 My  Number is  19... you won't have to look for me.... But you better not let  me get a  clean block on you..what ever  the  fuck your  name is!

  One of the Refs  looked at  Adam  as he  caught  another pass from Mik,.. You just won't let it go , will you?

Ben came running out like a puppy to join in the warm-up. He scampered around catching balls from anyone who would throw him one.

 Heather walks out onto the field for warm ups, she stretches a lot and wonders if any of the Texans will say anything to her. Once her stretching is done, she will line up a few kicks. She is pumped excited about her first game in the NFL but she was calm she was use to Millions of people watching her.

 She hits her first kicks with power and they are all right down the middle, she looked really good, that was at 40 yards. She goes farther out to 45 yards and hits a few more, they where good but not as impressive as her 40 yard kicks.  Then she goes to 50 yards hits two and they where down the middle just short. For her last warm up kick she tries from 60 yards and it clears the crossbar not by much though right down the middle.

 Heather was pleased and she felt good, she would then stretch a little more, do some jogging to get her muscles loose and will then spend some time kicking into the net on the side line to make sure her leg is loose and ready.

 Duke  and Steele   Came  out to throw   some routes   for the  receivers and Backs.     Adam caught  a a deep out   and  Tossed the ball back with    the Cindy  hit him up  for a pregame   sound bite

  ..I'm Here   with  Dragons  Wide Out , Adam Bronk... Adam?.. we know alot of bad  blood  with the Texans, do you think this game  will be   rougher then most?

 well?  Cindy?   Everyone  ha s  BAd  Blood  with us?.. there are like..5  Teams out there  we consider friends..The Texans  are not one of them..and?  with this being a diviosn game, we're not taking   any  prisoners... the mor epoints  we  score, the more tiebreaks    don't  come into play...EXcept ..for us..so?..  we're playing  hard , and scoring lots, and if they don't likle it, they can leave the field..go home...

   Sims watched  Heather  Kicking, he  called  Steele over  to hold,  Smokey was  watching her , with a bit of  interest in the way the kicks   came off the ground.   he  wiggles  a finger at Both Smokey and  Heather.

 Emma   was on the file d with the DBs    loosening up, going through  back Peddle  drills and such

 Heather sees Coach signal her to come over, she takes a deep breath and heads over to Coach Sims. She will wait for Smokey and she will wait to see what the Coach wants to tell them.

  Sims  Looks  at the tweo, some of the   Texans see  the  'new'  woman  by them..the hoot  and holler.. Emma   Just  Points  at them..   some wave her off, some , just turn around.

  Alright?  Smokey./. you're going to be  punting  again, for this game at least.... we're Gonna  let Heather   Kick off  , see what happens to her on kickoffs, she gets banged  around, you'll go back to kicking off... This is nothing on you  Smokey, you did   way more then your share, you might have to do it again , down the road.. But  right now, you can work on your punting....

 Sims   smiles,..If  we  don't get you some  punts in, we'll let you kick off in the  4th  quarter   when we score.. But we gotta see what Heather can do in a game...

 now?..Heather?... These  guys hate us... we dropped 100 on them last time at thier house.... I want to do it again today... can't   guarantee  that though... the main thing is to win, and win big... we're not just  here to win the GAme.. we're  out  here  to  tell the whole  damn world, that Dragon's  football is the New  Football in town. You're gonna  take shots... take them?  lety the refs  throw the flags.... but this  game is  goign to be a street fight.

 Heather was happy Coach was going to let her kick off, he says if she gets banged up she was like yeah okay I am a woman but she wasn't playing on getting banged up if she had a chance to tackle one of them. When Smokey was just given Punting duties and said they never punt Heather felt bad because Smokey had done well in a pinch. Hey but this is sports she wanted to do all the place kicking to help the team as much as possible.

 Then Coach Sims told her about the History between the Dragons and the Texans. Heather was all in and said," Got it Coach it will get nasty out there, I will take the hits like everyone else but I WILL get up and keep on kicking Coach. Also Coach if I am out there and they get a run back I will do my part Coach to send the message we are the best Coach." Heather was fired up but she was in control, her time in soccer was helping her a lot right now. " Coach so on Kickoffs do we go for Touchbacks or do you want me to kick it so they have to a take the run back?"

 we  want them to think about it.. one yard , 2 yards  deep..or  the same 'short",,,make them have to  decide to stay in... or  they have to  run... that messes  with thier  heads.. takes    the 'right' of  choice  away.

    Sims  leaves  the  kickers  and  Calls Bronk Over... he talks  with him..  Adam Looks like a  kid that as told he had to eat his Brussels  sprouts..

 Sims laughs  and  Gives him a  whack on the back  as      Adam   Jogs  to the     Mobile stage that Lana  and her   Reavers  where on.


  with 8 Minutes left of warm up time, he  didn't have to worry about Fines...

   He climbed up  and  Fans  started to cheer,  his  eye black  trying to  j hide the black and Blue of his    broken nose.

  Crash, got the  Drums  Going    Eddie   and Sandy   hit the   Guitars  Missy  pounced the Key Boards   while Lana  and   Adam sang, with the whole band  =singing Back round....

   The   Scorboard  tied the   speakers into the    stadium    PA...  and the     song   echoed the  stadiums that was  about   4/5s   full.... as soon as  people  heard  Adam  was  with the  band  , the people  on the Concourse     ran to the    wall …

 Adam  would Point to  one side of the  stadium, Lana  the  other    as they leaned on each other's Back.

 ..LETS GET A LITTLE BIT LOUDER!

    The Fans      were screaming along with the Song.. Jumping  in the  Bleachers.. The   Texas  Looked  around   Thier  Coach  bitching at the Refs..  The Ref  pointed to the   clock  and shrugged.

 ..DON'T STOP UNTIL WE LOSE ALL CONTROL...

    when the Song was  Finished  Lana  Gave   Adam  a savage  Kiss  as he   Jumped   down....  Holding his hand in the air    as  the  Fans went wild...while he ran to the locker   room...

 Heather nodded and said," You got it Coach make them think and loose their edge, do they have a returner I need to kick away from?"

 After getting the answer she will head back to the net and kick a few into the net before warmups where done, she will see if the Texan's kickers where doing. When Adam went and joined the band and got the stadium going, damn he was crazy and good.She smiled and just kept warming up, she was waiting for the reporters to find her.

  The Refs  Blew  the  Whistle  for the teams  to go in and get ready.. 30 minutes until kick off...

   as the  teams   headed to their ends of the stadium.. Cindy  waved to heather.
..Hey..Heather?  Right?  I'm Cindy Sawyer,  ESPN Beat   reporter for the Dragons... One  quick  sound bite?....

 With out   waiting  for an answer she  says,..You will be the third   Female Kicker  for the Dragons?    do you thick you can have better  Luck?

 Heather was walking off the field and thought damn she got lucky no damn reporters when as she was close to the tunnel a female ESPN Reporter flagged her down and before she could say no, Cindy asked her a question. Heather smiled and said," Hey I just got here i can't say anything about the other kickers, I am just going to go out there and do my job Miss Sawyer. That is to kick and play football Miss Sawyer."

 Heather was surprised that was her first question, as she answered heather started to walk away hoping that is all she will ask for now.

  in the  locker  rooms,  Emma   sat  in her  stall, these lockers were  the   Wyverns  lockers  during their  season.

 ..The NFL   doesn't like  us Heather.. Not   Coach Sims, Not  most of the players, not the   owners.... and they sure  don't like us...keep that in mind...somewhere out there  there are little girls  watching us.... and use your head....We might not need it?  But the guys got our backs...

 Calling  the team together in the Press area..  Sims   stood there,  the  fans  were  chanting  along with what ever  song Lana's people were  playing, but it  was muffled here.

  First of all, we   will dispense  with the Padre asking    god  to help us.... god ha s enough on his plate  to  worry  about a football game, it is selfish, and down right stupid to ask.

 he looks at the  Priest,..you want to talk to him, and   tell him to  keep  my people healthy  I'd  be happy with that...

 then he turned to the team, Big Day today..Right?.. we beat every one of our division  teams  once..., this is a chance to  get  a second one against the Texans...We don't need it  for them?... but it  will make it harder for the Colts  to chase us....

 Yes.... we will  score every damn point we can score...even to the point of calling Timeouts to do it... we can't save those points, and  all of you have contracts  that depend on Team goals..... so?..no mercy... you hit them  as hard the last 30 seconds of the game, as  you did  the first....let the world watch the highlights, let the3 coaches  watch the tapes...and let them  fear us....

 we have some 90,000  fans out there.. more in the next two stadiums... and all they want to do, is see you all play  hard  and fast.. nit   and run... Lets make them  proud.... Emma?... You'll take Lissa  out again..Lets go!
 Bing took Emma's head  gear as  a little  girl came into the locker   rom dressed like  a Tiny  Dragon..

   The Girl  smiled  Big..her  father wore  a  windbreaker  and  coaching   creds  hanging around his neck..

 she    yelled,BIG  BEN!.....EMMIE DRAGON!... the shyly    she   jumped in the air with her arms and Legs out....BOMB!....

 there  were chuckles   as  Emma  took her hand and lead her to  the   Entrance. Then the  Announcers   said...

and now! Welcome your  jackswonville  Dragons!..Lead  by  Lissa  Dragon!

  Lissa    ran  out of the Tunnel  with Emma  behind her, followed  but the rest of the team...   The roars  cascaded  down the stadium  shaking the    ground  , The Texans  were Looking  around, they have heard  about the sound in the stadium

 Emma  picked her  up and shown her   around the stadium  casued   another    flood of  roars..

 The scoreboard  Dragons roared with thier   flames  shooting into the sky.. and Jackie the Dragon    flew  her  way from the Dragon's   end of the stadium to the    North end   where the massive  scoreboard   dragons   roares...

 Heather goes to her locker and everything was ready, then Emma sat down and told her how the NFL doesn't like any of them especially them.

 " Thank you Emma yeah I figured they wouldn't like us, but you actually play a position, I don't want to be just a kicker, want to do my part as well. Oh yes I will use my head Coach said take the hits and let the Ref's sort it out. Yeah I got that feeling the guys will have our back, kick some ass out there Emma."

 Then they all got together and then Emma and Lissa Dragon lead the team out, Heather would come out with Smokey. She will feel the crowd and let it motivate and energize her.

 Heather came out of the Locker room a few minutes early and headed towards Ben's truck.

 While she is waiting she will call her Mom.
She dials and waits for her to pick up.

Ben finished his coffee 13 minutes after he'd spoken to Heather and came out to see her standing by his truck on the phone. He trotted over and unlocked it, holding the door open for her.

When she'd finished her call he smiled at her.

"You ready? I just heard from my girlfriend - Lu-Ti, boss cheerleader and Yuto's sister - they have gone on ahead and will meet us in New York."

He drove over to the townhouses and along to Heather's.

"You need a hand with anything?"

 Heather smiled finished her call and then said to Ben,Yes I am thank you for the rides, oh that is cool they will be in New York, my Mom might come from Boston.

 Heather smiled when they reached her Townhouse, Oh I am good i have my bags on my bed didn't really unpack yet, when are you heading back, just let me know and I will ride with you, thank you Ben you have been so nice, see you in a bit.

 Heather smiled and went to her townhouse.

    The Little green Mazda  pulled up to its assigned  spot  at the stadium,  Bronk and the KAne got out, grabbed thier Bags  and began to walk to the   Bus...

 some of the tailgaters  who were still there  shouted to them,   And  Nudged   Kane  and they  went to the  Tailgaters who were  cheering.. they had a TV  set up  as the slowly   dismantled thier   set up..

 ADAM!.. we have a Bunch of hotdogs  left!.. You want  some...

  Adam   grinned, ..You bet?  How  about my big Buddy here...

  one of the guys  who as still working the grills  said,we have some   Burgers  and a Teak?.. hate to see this steak go to waste?

 Lane   put his bags  down  and  ambled over the  Guy who set him up with the   steak one of the ears of  corn and   a couple bake d Potatoes.

 HAd Had  two Dogs with onions  and ketchup.. he  began to   pull out Money the  'leader' of the group says,NO NO NO.. you guys  aren't paying..what  kind of fans would we  be who make   Dragons pay for  helping us not waste food!..

 Adam nodded,..Thank You... here.. Gimmie  that stack of  paper  plates.... Then he began asking people thier  first names, and  he  wrote on  a pate, that person's  name..a meassge,  " thanks  for the EAts".. " Go Dragons"  " 19 was here".. and he signed his name and  Number  as he ate  his Dogs

 Kane  grinned as he  ate the steak, telling  the guy the sauce  was  great.The 'chef' began to explain  what  he did to the sauce... Meanwhile  Kane  Motioned for solo Cups.. and  he  began to sign those... in much the same ways  as Adam.

  The  Tailgate s Got  Pics  Of  Adam eating a  Hot  dog with eat of   them...they made two more hotdogs  for him so they all got in...

  then  they Did the same thing for  Kane...

 The  Busses  were pulling In, and  the two Dragons had  to leave, thanking the people and grabbed thier    gear.. Adam still had  half a Hotdog he was  trying to wolf  down.

 when they   got in line with the players   Kane  said,Ya know, that steak was ..ok?.. but  kinda  dry?

 ..It was sitting on the grill all day?.. Like these dogs!.. but hey?... thos e folks are gonna   tell that  two Dragons  crashed thier tail gate party and have autographs  and pics to prove it...They'll be talking  about that for the rest of thier lives...

  Adam handed his   suit case and Duffle  to  the   equipment  guy. but kept his lap top  case and satchel

 After  Buses  reached   Amota  airfield

    as the  people  got on board, Sims had a head  count, everyone was accounted  for.....Attention... this is Coach Sims..I know its  a short week.. but  any film study you want to  do  tonight is on your own.... light practice  in the morning tomorrow.. and Meetings... if you feel like  football yhou can watch the  Giants  and Bears.. be sorta like a film study..

 Now?.. we  are not landing at JFK we  are landing at TeterBoro, which is  alot closer to  the Hotel..this time  we have  The Meadowlands  Hilton....After the game..those who are going home for thanksgiving will be leaving on Red Eyes  from Teterboro, and we have a few  folks  coming   at that same airport, they will bypass  all the holiday traffic that way... that's what happens when you owner has his own  Airline...

 chuckles here  and there any of you who  saved a ball from the game  or got a GAme ball.. they will be lettered and painted, and in your  locker  when we  return to New JAckville.. that's  about it... player who need   to see the trainer... they'll see  you in one of the conference rooms... Mr Amota  has secured  the  first 10 floors  for was, as  well as the   Conference  Hall and meeting rooms..think of this  as  a working Vacation.....

 Now///those who stay in New York  , we wil be there  UntilSunday Night, we  will then travel Monday to Buffalo  have a  meeting  or two, then practice starts Tues day..we are lookign for a  College  team to use thier  stadium, until the  normal time for us to use the  enemy stadium.....also.. Sunday  after thanksgiving , we'll ahve a  short practice   in the morning  and meetings  until  12:00, so we can be normal folks and Veg out on fotball the rest of the day.... Those  leaving.Make sure you back for Sunday's practice .. I think every one   on this team, can see, that the running  and   exercises  we do, help keeps us  runnign  well, until the end of the  game... we aren't  stopping that any time soon..relax.. enjoy the flight.

Ben brought Heather back to the complex when she was ready. He waved to any fans still around, grabbed his backpack from the truck and headed over to the buses.

Watching the Giants game on the way would pass the time.

 Heather got out got her stuff and said," Thank you Ben, I need to have my car sent down here after we get back." Heather than went onto the bus.

 After the Coach's speech Heather thought well if her Mom can't come she can go and visit her at least to Sunday. Yeah watching the game could be relaxing maybe seeing some of her kicking would be nice a swell.

 Before taking a seat she will head over to Coach Simms," Coach this was very sudden getting signed, I was wondering if there was a way to possibly get my Mom to the game and getting her a good ticket to watch me play in person."

Day off and back in decent weather!

Ben arrived in the Dragon Complex and headed straight for the pool, having jogged over from the townhouses with his trunks rolled up in a towel. The place seemed deserted although he guessed some of the staff would be in later, unpacking kit and doing the laundry if nothing else. The coaches would probably be analysing the game just played, too.

He got down to the pool, stripped off and put on his trunks. With a dive into the deep end he was off, putting in some lengths.

  There was a clip clop of  High Heels   as Lu-Ti  came in to the Pool area, she had a  bright  blue  short , pull over Dress and her  laptop satchel.

  she  waited at the  one end of the  pool for Ben to return, on his next lap.

  She   he got close  she  crouched the best she   could in teh short dress....The Security Guards  said they saw you come In?... I have to go to  Miami   with Father  for a meetign with  the owners  for the 'winter meeting' I should be   back home in time for the party tonight.

 She    opended  the satchel  and   placed two sheets of  paper  on his  towel..... You have two jobs today?.... One..Canceled Adam and want you instead  for   'Rockies Pizza"... 11:00  for signing pitures and beging  charming.... at  3:00  you have  interview   in the  Compolex , Press  room with  China Lo..she is  sneake..be careful  with her....,Rockies  will give you  check at the   store.... China Lo  will be credited  to your Dragon account..careful again..she  works  for Fux news and sports... they are no good...

 she   stands up.....now?.. I must go be candy for the eyes at the Meeting...

Ben rested his arms on the side of the pool and gazed up adoringly at his beloved. A chuckled welled up: he probably looked like a lovesick seal!

"Your looks will distract them from the laser-sharp business mind that you have, darling. Do you want me to pick you up tonight? And if this China Lo is so awful, why are you abandoing me to her tender mercies?"
