T The   music   was a fast dance, Bing was  pretty good, but still had that white  Boy from the Midwest moves.

     There were  some of the  media folsk that were  nearing the end of thier  hour  trying to make up for Cindy's  scoop  with pictures of  as many players as they could get .

 Adam    relaxed  again  As   Sims   and His wife   were headed to the Dinner , now that  the Media was goign away...you  pushing Buttons, Son   ?

  ..all the time  Coach....

  ..No trying   about , Coach... texans  are gonna  need another Bye  after this week.

 Sims  wife smiled,...Just be careful... I think  there are some of those players  want to hurt you!

 ..That's  Fine  Mrs  Coach... I hurt people right back...   they left  after some smiels   and   Adam tunred to Ben,..so?..didn't show her the ring yet..huh?

Emma was also a pretty good dancer and, while she was a white girl from the Midwest, she also grew up in Detroit so her moves were a bit smoother. "You're pretty good. This your preferred type of dance music?" she asked. She was content to dance for a bit; she'd been standing still too long.

  ..i don't like to  sit around and watch..you know? So i get up and dance  , whatever.. Slow  dances  are nicer though, you can talk with out  a dozen people hearing.

 Another  Fast  Danc e  CAme on, there were  cheerleaders  comign out  of the back, lookign at Cell phones . they seemed  excited.

  Lu-Ti  came  out   striding towards   Ben with a very dark but satisfied  look on her face.

"Yeah, and the slow dance is more interesting, I think. But that's probably just preference," Emma agreed. She did notice the cheerleaders return. "Looks like Lu-Ti has a plan of some type ready for the game," she commented to Bing.

  Bing  chuckles,That  family always always has a Plan..... scary..I'm glad i play for them...

   The Song  switched  to a  slow  song, Which Bing  bowed  overly  formal,... Care   for a slower   Dace, Ms   Reese?

  Lu=Ti  smiles  as she   gets a  mixed  drink with a tiny dragon on a  swizzle stick..We will show them, thinkign the last minute to hinder the dragonettes

"Not yet," Ben said to Adam, "But she wanted to keep the announcement until after the media had gone anyway. Best they concentrate on the game."

Then Lu-Ti returned and got herself a drink. He went over to her, smiling, and kissed her cheek.

"Welcome back, my love. Would you like a dance, or are you hungry? Have you sorted out a strategy? We on the field appreciate having the Dragonettes there, you know."

  Lu-Ti nodded,..we   will have a big surprise, for them, and  for  the Dragons I have to talk with Yuto... we  should   but  blokcs of tickest like this  for every away game. And if the Team's  Cheerleaders  let us on the sideline, we can resell them or  use them as a fundraiser or something?

    Adam looked  around, Saw Kane  and  his GF at the  table, she looked bored..he was  Nibbling on some   chicken strips. He got  an evil Grin  , walked over to the Table  and  sat down.

  they Both Smiled,..Hey, Little Man.. this  is Lizza...

 ..yeah, no one mentioned  any  names when i was Kidnapped!

 She Giggled,..I tried to get him out there... he doesn't wanna...

 ..Yeah?.... don't you have  your own fan club.. thos e folks  who sit  togetherdoign the whole  'Samoa ' thing?

 Kane Smiles,..yeah..Kane's  Commandos... they wear   Dragon Green Camo....

  Adam nodded slowly as he   pushed    a salt  shaker  around on the  able with his free hand..his other hand  held his soda,how much  weight  have  you lost, since camp...

 Kane  sat up a bit straighter..wow?.. I lost close to 80 pound, Trainers  said  I  put  back 20 pounds of  muscle.... very proud  smile.

 ...now?... Just think how  cool it would be, for your  fan base to see you out there  Dancing, showing off that new Dragon Bod, while you are with some hot chick?..Might be  some  kid out there.. stuck at home, who sees you as the guy he wants to be?...you could change  his  Life  around?..not to mention.. making the Hot Girl friend a bit happier?...

 Kane puts  a chicken strip down, he looks at  Liza  and she is   grinning.....you'er  Just trying to get me on the Floor....so you guys can laugh...

 Adam shrugged,..Oh?  hell yeah,  some of the Guys are going to jag the heck out of you...why?.. 'cause you never been out there?  And?   Remember  how you were, the first time that  dumbass made you run suicide.. Punishing you for  being   too slow?..... Now Look...QB's have to worry about a Faster  DT in thier face?.. and  You'er on the Team, and he isn't... Go out there?..let the guys have some  fun? Look what i gotta  do  each party with that ..'stomp  thing"

  Kane   Looks  at him sideways,..yeah?.. But you like that  stuff...

 ..I do...at first.. but once it starts, the Dragonettes  are  Having  fun, Yuto  is cheering every one on and the crowd  gets into it... then    i forget, that  I look  like a dork sometimes... and just have  fun...

  Kane   nods  slowly as he  thought, Liza  looked  from Adam to Kane and Back, Adam  gave her  a  quick  wink.

 a slow  song  came on, Bing and  was  bowing to   Emma like some  Musketeer,..See that?.. Nice  slow  song  to start with? Then yo can gear up  for the other  songs, get all the Hooting  out of the way!

 They  Got  Up Kane Gave  Adam a slap on the Back   ,Liaz a big grin...Adam stole  a Chicken strip and  walked back to  his  place  at the Bar..

 Emma   saw Kane  and His   GF heading out onto the Floor a Hoots  began and  Kane  Just waves to his teammates  and Fans like a beauty queen, before  and   the    shorter  waman    began to slow dance

"Certainly," Emma said, offering Bing her hand and joining him in the dance. She would, of course, let Bing lead the dance.

She did notice Kane start out onto the dance floor. "Looks like they finally got Kane onto the floor," she commented.

  Bing  chuckled    as they danced,..'bout  time... can't pick on him too much, I used to hang back  until a dragonette would drag me out. I Thing the   girls do  that to try to get the  whole team to   take part..Most of us are the quiet Types'.. well..unless   some one ruffles  our  fur..or..um..scales?

  Sloan  and His  wife   were on the  floor, he  was  Hispanic and   had  that  gleeful smile in her  eyes  as they  Danced, Sloan mored   pretty good    for a Big   Guy, his teech flashing  against the backround of his  dark Skin.

  The   Security  folks were ...very nicely... reminding the Media  types that they had  to leave..  They took some  quick Pictures... The New Jacksonville Times   Photog and   writer were permitted to stay  a bit longer, but had to leave if they wanted to make  Tomorrow's paper.

 Lucas  and a few  others  were on the  Floor  Now... Mik was talking with  one of the dragonettes  who was  taking a break with him

  Smokey was walking around  with   a mixed   drink, he had  a  straw hat on and his  Suefer  dude shirt, his Seashell necklace  on display.. one of the   Fans  that were now being left in, asked if he wanted to dance  and he   when off  with her..dancing Badly, but the fan  was  grinning from ear to ear while her  Buddies  took pics.

"That's a little on the surprising side on the whole. But maybe the teams I've been on before have just been more of the rowdy types," Emma replied as they danced. Of course, college and high school were a lot different than the NFL. Though if you believed the videos that the NFL tended to put out, football teams in the NFL were all just as crazy loud and boisterous as they were in college.

"You might be on to something there, darling," Ben said to Lu-Ti.

"If you get onto the sidelines, you can either sell the tickets or invite folks that might otherwise not get to see the game."

He looked at the folks on the dancefloor.

"Fancy a dance? I'll try not to step on your toes too often!"

  Bing   seemed to be relaxed,.. yeah?.. But   i think it may have to do with  Coach Sims, and the kind of players he wants... looking  back?. we had some head cases here..Load  mouths, some guys who didn't  buy into the program?  The fastest way off this   team is  to  even  'hint' at being a locker  room cancer.

  .Don't get me  wrong.. all of  us might  fall under the title 'nut job'... but  The ones  who get to stay?... They are  Sims's  nut  jobs... We got   Guys  Like Payne, Smokey, Bronk, Wheeler? all of them nut  jobs in thier own right... But they are Dragons...so?

 Lu-Ti nodded quickly,..yes... i need  a dacne  i think..to day has been...much stressful..

Ben smiled.

"You poor dear."

He took her hand and led her out, bowing then holding her close, letting the music take over. For dancing with a girl, expecially one he was fond of, he preferred the slow ones. His hand caressed her back, feeling a few knots.

"You need to relax," he murmured in her ear.

"Well, the program doesn't seem to allow for too large of an ego. Or at least not the extra-large ones. I've gotten noticeably less pushback here than I did on other teams," she commented.

"So, how about yourself, Larry? What're you up to when we're not pushing our noses to the grindstone for the team?" she asked, realizing she didn't know a ton about some of the team member's outside interests. It was something she should correct.

  ..Me?.. Not  Much... learned  a long  time  ago  about bias though? Was  all state in the lower part of Utah?.. we had to play 8 man football, so   no occleges  cared  how many picks you had, or tackles... I scored alot of Poitns  as a TE, My Caoch tried    hard  for me to get a ride some where?... My  teammate.. Carlos   Iriving?  he was a cool Black guy, 2 inches  taller  then me and  .5 faster then me  in the 40.. so? Utah State Gave himn a  Ride, I had to  play for Wartburg Knights In Waverly Iowa... they didn't have  full rides.. i didn't get a  any money until my Junior  year..we finied my senior  year at 9-1.. just missed playoffs.. I still hold the INT record  there  with 14 in a season...still?.. some   white  DB  from a DIII  school?.. not so much notice.

  Then this  Guy comes to  Campus  on draft  day, he  called out  my name as we watch  guys get rich  because some one announced their name on TV... ther eis a chuckle  as he looks  up as  if picturing it.

  ..I said,  No thanks  , Sir?.. If I can't get into   the FL or the CFL... i would rather  not  play Arena..

 he laughed    gave me his card,and said,..we're a new   Team in the NFL..taking Jacksonville's spot..Coach and the GM  want  football players.. you want to try?..call that number, a Driver   will be  at  the Campus in 30 minutes to take you to the airport.... if you make it?  Good..If not?  well? at elast you had your shot?

 ..I made the  Camp  roster, then  fought  my way  through Camp..and here i am...on an Undefeated   NFL team , dancing with the NFL's  " Next big  thing"...  he grins.

  Lu-Ti Looked up a bit Miffed,..relax?.... do you see  Caoch Sims  relax?.. do you relax  as you preprae for game?.... I must not only   do what i need for the  Business.. but i must  Keep the  Dragonettes   on top..make sure, no one  forgets  about us?... we have  already Pushed  the Cowgirls  back a notch.... I want us to be respected!

Ben grinned.

"Only so you can resume your efforts with renewed vigour, love. We don't need you on IR... where would any of us be without you and your ladies, not to mention your other endevours?"

  she looks  at Ben..slightly Mullified,..so sorry.... I am  on the  edge of the  needles  with pins...  we have a Buisness that is fighting  against American Oil  , who wants to hurt fishing..so we  have just won, big lawsuit..but now, must push back against thier holdings... it will not make us popular, but it will make  many people  safe.... and then.. the   bitch from the Texans  called ,last minute!..she knows  we would be leaving  tomorrow..good thing her   team  sucks so  big!.. Now?  we have battle plan for rest of season!

"See, you are doing brilliantly on all fronts."

Ben swung her round as the music came to an end, then stepped back. Now or never, a voice said in his mind as he took a knee before her. He smiled up at her.

"Will you accept this ring, and my heart?"

He held up the box, open to show the gleaming green and gold ring.

Emma laughed a little. "I'll only big a big thing if I can keep producing. One week doesn't make one a big thing. But thank you." A nod was given. "Seems to be a common theme from what I've been hearing. But the team wasn't built conventionally either."

"But you've got to have some sort of outside interest. Movies you like or things you do to relax," Emma pointed out.

  Lu-Ti  Looked at the Ring, and she looked at  Ben, Her  eyes  watered a bit,..it..it is so...pretty!.....YES!...

   She  Hugged Him as she smiled and cried at the same  time.

 Over at the Bar, the BAr tender looked at whomever was By him and  Bronk,..Ok?  You won!..  One  round of drinks on me!... how did you know that would happen?

 Adam Grinned,as he tapped his head,..sharp eyes... there were only , like  6 people who got the surprise  drink, not counting another  soda  for  Adam.

 Bing  smiled ,..ahhh.sse ? there you'er  wrong? You don't  thing...deep down.. the  NFL front office  doesn't want you to do good?... you might pull in another Million fans of  Ladies who are watching what you do?... Gotta figure, alot  were lookign at us anyway?.. we had  two LAdy Kickers... two Lady QBs.. now  we have a LAdy High light reel?

  ..Movies?..Books// I like sci-fi ..Fanatsy stuff.. maybe throw in a good  war movie  just to watch stuff blow up... I guess  depends who i'm watching with... what kind of mood  i'm in...

"I'm glad you like it..."

Ben took her left hand and slipped the ring on, then kissed the hand before standing up and embracing her.

"I still need to produce though, or I'll get lumped in with the likes of Mosh, and that's the very last place I want to be."

A nod was given to Bing when he talked about the movies. "Sci Fi and Fantasy are good. Can't say I ever really got into war movies, but history was never a favorite subject of mine, so I guess I never got exposed to them."

    Lu-Ti  Relaxed  as they  danced, Yuto   saw what was  Happening and  got the V-day  to play  another sallow  song.

"Didn't really get exposed to a lot of that until college honestly, but it was fun when I got the chance." Emma didn't have a lot in the way of game systems growing up. "You do that celebrity streaming thing some people do? Or just game anonymously?" she asked.
