Kat gritted her teeth. The coach hadn't told them from what distance they were striking, not that it should matter as much, BUT, it meant guess work. Kat took her steps back and left, then launched forward, her foot connecting with the ball...which flew up and away, wide right. Kat swore.
She closer her eyes and focused. She had a moniker to live up to, dammit! She zoned back in. She took a breath, then launched herself forward. The ball was up, away, and straight through the uprights, with room to spare. Kat nodded, then did the same exact thing again.
She was finding her zone. First had been shanked, but the last two were high and down the middle. Just like her dad taught her.
