 Lizzy hobbled with the help of Izzy to their quarters, once inside she began to get out of her armor and enviro suit. As she was taking everything off carefully, she said to Izzy," That was great you came to the run, I just need you to be in this war to win it my love."

With a supporting arm about her waist, Izzy would help Lizzy hobble to their quarters and into the bedroom so she could sit on the edge of the bed as she changed out of her armour. It was Izzy was in the process of removing her breastplate that Lizzy would once again thank her for turning up at the run and that she was In this war to win it ”yeah…um…Liz…I…I still don’t really know what that means or what you’re expecting of me…I’m not a hero Liz, I’m just a comm tech…I doubt they would even let me out into the field” she nervously said as she continued to strip out of her armour.

 Lizzy just looks at Izzy and replied," Why not, why are you selling yourself short, you were full of life and energy when I first meet you, you went into combat as a reporter, you kicked ass. That is who I feel in love with. Ever since you gave that up you have just been here, I guess. You have no drive to be better yourself, it seems like you are just going through the motions Izzy. I love you Izzy but I need to see the Izzy I feel in love with again, not this person who feels sorry for herself and wont better herself."

 Lizzy took off her leg armor with some pain and then added," You are more than a comm tech and look at Beth and Sam they are heroes, and they are just 'Comm Techs' as well. Find something you have a passion for Izzy I need you to be more than just my fiancé I need you to be a hero too, it's doesn't go into the field it just means you need to have a passion other than me, can you do that for me Izzy?"

 Lizzy was fully undressed when she was finished and added," I will wait till you're ready to take off the brace for our shower ok."

Listening to Lizzy speaking Izzy would anxiously bite her lower lip before replying ”Liz, a doorway randomly exploded as I was walking past it and I lost half my face and nearly my eye…something like that kind of takes it out of a girl…and I tried to do something else and it just got me into even more trouble…no one was even interested in it…so I just kind of decided to keep my head down and tow the line” Izzy quietly admitted as she removed the last of her armour and stowed it in her locker and moved on to her envirosuit ”I don’t feel like a hero Liz, most of the time I feel like a spare part and I honestly don’t know how to change that” she continued in a subdued voice, with that statement more than explaining why she didn’t wear her medals ”…I honestly don’t know what to do, everything I try just seems to make things worse”

 Lizzy put a hand on Izzy's shoulder and said calmly and lovingly," Izzy I don't see why you had to give up reporting do to the mild scarring you can barely see it, and I thought your eye was ok?"  Lizzy then added," Well I loved your drone idea in the field you just did it on a LC survival run without permission, go and talk with the SM and go full tilt into that, I really thought that was awesome, continue with that just ask everyone get permission first just don't do it hap-hazard ok, I will help if I can."

 " Izzy you can be a hero you just have to want to be one and give it your all, I don't want to see you as a spare part. Again the reason things got worse, one you absolutely hate the LC for some reason and that has hampered anything you do, you have alienated most of the crew by being so against the LC, they see it as anyone that against the LC is a bad guy. You need to just be yourself treat people with respect and do things with permission, and work hard at it. You will slowly earn others respect ok Izzy. Lizzy really wanted to help Izzy be all she could be, and she really did like her drone idea, Izzy really needs to move forward the right way this time.

”No Liz my eyesight is far from fine, without my glasses I struggle to see anything out of this eye and my peripheral vision is shot which is why I always sit with my good side facing you, otherwise I can’t see you…also no one wants to see this” Izzy explained before indicating the scarring on her face making it clear that regardless of whether or not Lizzy was right about how mild it was, Izzy felt she looked hideous.

At the mention of her drone idea she would shift a little at the suggestion that she try pursuing it again but with the SM’s approval ”hmm maybe though I think you might be in the minority” she said recalling the complete lack of interest in the idea she’d received, then again it might be worth tentatively exploring at some point to see if it was worth taking any further or whether it should remain in the junk folder.

After waving off any further discussion about the LC she would unzip her envirosuit and slink out of it and her underwear ready for the shower, feeling just a little depressed once again ”I’ll give the drone idea some thought, but I can’t promise that it will get any further than that” she said as she got up and headed towards the shower.

It would be clear that Izzy wasn’t really feeling it at the moment as she quietly showered without showing any interest in partaking in any of their usual shenanigans with it probably being one of the quickest showers they’d ever taken. After getting out she would quickly dry herself off before pulling on a fresh uniform, with her keeping her eyes and hands to herself and not even offering to brush Lizzy’s hair let alone braid it which was something she usually took great pleasure in doing. All in all Izzy had the look of someone that had inadvertently wandered into a minefield and didn’t dare to move lest she set one off.

After few minutes of awkward silence and a few false starts Izzy would eventually find the courage to ask ”W-would you like to go and get something to eat on the rec dec?” with her going on to anxiously bite her lower lip as she waited for Lizzy to answer.

 Lizzy seemed happy with Izzy's decision to go ahead with the drone idea and Lizzy hoped she would go full tilt into it and not hum drum about it, she needed Izzy to be passionate about something other than her, something about the war.

 Lizzy knew she had possibly upset Izzy but this was important to Lizzy, Lizzy took of her brace and carefully walked to the shower noticing Izzy didnt even help her, she knew she upset Izzy when she didnt want to even come close to her with her injured. Lizzy felt bad, but Lizzy had to be honest with Izzy or everything would have fallen apart anyways.

 They had a very quick shower since Lizzy couldn't have the brace off for too long, and again Izzy didnt help her at all. Lizzy hobbled over to the bed by herself put on her brace carefully, got dressed in a clean duty uniform and looked at Izzy.

 Lizzy wondered if she really upset Izzy that bad, Izzy didn't even offer to brush and braid her hair she loved that. Then Izzy finally spoke and Lizzy thought for a second and said," Are you going to help me get there or do I have to do that myself too? I know I must have upset you but you couldn't get pass that and help me to and from the shower with my hurt ankle?" Lizzy actually looked upset that Izzy didnt offer to help her at all to take a shower with her hurt ankle.

Izzy would visibly flinch at Lizzy’s reaction to her question as she seemingly stepped on one of those metaphorical landmines with her beginning to compulsively straighten her hair as she stammered out a reply ”S-sorry, I d-didn’t think y-you wanted me to, I can help if y-you want me to” with her wondering how things had got so bad so quickly with her trying really hard not to start crying. Lizzy had never been really mad at her before and she wasn’t sure how to deal with it as a terrified part of her brain pointing out that they were supposed to be getting married but that they now seemed to be very far from being a happy couple. All in all this was a very new and scary experience for her and she had absolutely no past experience on how to deal with it.

 Lizzy looked at Izzy then at her brace and her swollen ankle, then said," Well I could have used some help since you where the one who yelled at me for running on it. " Lizzy sat back down and held Izzy and then said," Yes I am upset at you but these things happen in a relationship well I think they do, this is my first real one too. Izzy I am sorry can you please help me get around, I do love you I just need you to go full tilt in this drone thing and see it through ok."

 Lizzy gave her a deep passionate kiss that would knock Izzy's clothes right off if they could, after a few amazing moments she added," Now I am hungry lets go eat ok."  Lizzy got up using Izzy to help her self and then she went to their fish checked on them fed them and then said," You ready my love?"

”I thought I w-was doing the right thing” Izzy whispered as she sat on the bed suddenly looking very young and scared. There had always been more of an emphasis towards teamwork during her training so helping an injured teammate had seemed like the right thing to do, but there didn’t even seem to be any teams here, just a Darwinist melange of individual troopers where if you didn’t instantly fit in you were labelled a trouble maker and driven out.

As Lizzy gently put her arms around her and softly spoke, Izzy would calm a little as she realised that this was a bump in the road and not the cliff edge that she had feared it to be, with the kissed that followed their little talk leaving her dazed by the pure unadulterated passion of it. When the kiss finally came to an end it would take Izzy a few moments to compose herself as she recalled conversations about makeup sex with her college friends with her thinking that if that kiss was anything to go by she was in for a very enjoyable night…assuming she didn’t screw things up between now and then, which was still a possibility.

With the sound of Lizzy’s voice calling her name breaking her out of her reverie Izzy would shyly smile as she got up and went over to join her. It was as she doing so that she would recall what Harry had said when she’d told her that she thought what she and Lizzy had was the real thing Strap yourself in tight Izz you’re in for a bumpy ride! at the time she’d thought it had been a crude joke about sex but now she wasn’t so sure and wondered if Harry had realised what she’d been getting into and had backed out? Either way it was a question to ponder another time with her instead slipping her arm around Lizzy’s waist ”ok, I’m ready let’s go”

  Lizzy finished with the fish, hoping Lizzy got her point across, she wanted Izzy to just be part of the War and hoped her drone thing would really get her going, plus she was upset Izzy didnt help her injured girlfriend but thats ok she was probably worried about upsetting her more. Lizzy took her hand hoping this was the only fight they would have and they headed out the door," Ok Izzy and lets get through this together our relationship and the war ok." Lizzy followed Izzy to the Rec Dec.

Madison charged off the lift like she was rushing to a rescue. Almost knocking Stiffy off his feet as she barrelled through, she spun, walking backwards as she gestured a wordless apology. Seeing that he was okay, she turned back down the hall , almost running to her quarters.

Once again treating Lizzy like she was made from fine China, Izzy would lead them both into their quarters and over to the edge of the bed so Lizzy could take off her boots with Izzy still clearly excited by their talk of the wedding on the rec dec "You know I'm really liking the idea of having a girly night out before the wedding, and this time I won't just be Lizzy's girlfriend tagging along" she spoke excitedly as she pulled off her own boots and kicked them off into the corner "...and there's still so much stuff we need to discuss about the wedding like, cakes and guest lists and...and...everything!" she giggled with it clear that she wouldn't be able to sleep for quite some time in her current state.

Moving to stand in front of Lizzy she would gently take her head in both hands and lean in to kiss her "You make me very happy, and I love you so much...even if you are an emotional rollercoaster" she whispered with her hands dropping to slowly undo the buttons on Lizzy's uniform blouse "I think I'd better help you get ready for bed...you know...to make up for earlier" she softly spoke with a suggestive smile on her face.

 Lizzy got undressed taking care of her hurt ankle. " Yes, that will be fun let's see who we can invite ok. Sam, Nikki, Madison, Billie, maybe Brivit and a couple other pilots, any Troopers you can think of, Meari? You won't be a tag a long any more Izzy."

" Yes there is a lot but before we go any further, I would like us to talk to Captain Si and Admiral Hack and then we can go from there ok."

 Lizzy smiled and replied, " I love you too Izzy, I am sorry I wear my emotions on my sleeve. I know you will do great with the drones I have a feeling, just give it your all, if it doesn't pan out you tried ok, we will just look for something else, but I think if done right will be amazing."

 Then Izzy helped her get undressed, Lizzy smiled and when they were both ready, they went to bed, they kissed and cuddled, because Lizzy's ankle was still very sore, and the brace made it better they just cuddled tonight.

As Lizzy suggested people they could ask for a girly night out, Izzy would slowly undress her taking care not to jolt or jerk her ankle as she slid her trousers down ”I dunno, I’m not sure that Meari takes down time” she said finding the Udenese woman to be a little intense”…as for other people in SEC I don’t know them all that well” she said carefully folding Lizzy’s uniform and placing it on a chair.

After slowly getting undressed herself, with a smile on her face that said she was more than happy for Lizzy to watch, she would slip into bed and cuddle up to Lizzy, gently kissing her as she played with her hair until they both fell to sleep.

Izzy would awaken the following morning still cuddled up to Lizzy with the young woman simply enjoying the feel of lying in her fiancé’s embrace until she too awoke ”Morning…how are you feeling?” she whispered, brushing aside a few errant locks of red hair ”I was thinking that perhaps we could speak with Captain Si today…unless you have other plans that is?”

 Lizzy giggled at Izzy's comment on Meari not taking down time, she was a very intense and large woman. Meari could probably snap Izzy and Lizzy in two together. " Well any that you would like to, this would be a perfect way to get to know them better."

 Then they would go to bed and cuddle, and it felt great. Lizzy awoke with Izzy still cuddling her, Lizzy got up and checked her ankle, took off her brace and headed for the shower, she waited for Izzy to help her, and she did this time. Once Lizzy was in the shower Lizzy said," Thank you Izzy, I am good, can you please go get the coffee going?" Lizzy gave her a kiss and began to wash up doing her leg and ankle while she was alone in the shower. Lizzy waited for Izzy to return before doing much else.

Slipping an arm about Lizzy’s waist they would carefully make their way into the bathroom where once Izzy was certain that her fiancé was in a suitably stable position and wasn’t about to fall over she would head into the kitchenette to set the coffee pot going. Returning a short while later she would join Lizzy in the shower where she would spend much of the time giggling as she held Lizzy close so  she was able to wash herself whilst balancing on one leg…or at least that was the excuse Izzy told her.

Once they had finished, the pair of them would dry off with Lizzy once again being helped into the bedroom so she could get dressed with Izzy rather shyly asking ”Would you like me to do your hair?”

 Lizzy smiled when Izzy came back, and hey showered with Izzy giggling as Lizzy washed up on one leg. It was feeling better, but she knew she should take it easy on that ankle for the rest of the day. They got out and dried off, Izzy then helped Lizzy back to the bed where Lizzy put her brace back on and tightened it.

 Lizzy got dressed with Izzy's help and responded, " Yes I would love that, thank you, I actually really missed that yesterday." Once her hair was done and they were both dressed, she said," So should I comm Captain Si and she if she has time to see us now?"

Alison arose that morning from a very sound sleep.    She'd more than one interesting dream...two or three, that sort of segued one from the other.   Sadly, she'd didn't dream of her companion from the previous evening, though that would've been nice.

She did dream of her father, however.  The first time in a while. She supposed there could've been a number of reason from that.  Including the date she'd enjoyed yesterday. How her father had striven to control her dating life, during her teens, before she'd moved out to attend college.   Just as he'd tried to control other aspects of her life...

Well, she willfully shunted her dad out of her mind. Not now. She would sift through it later, if she needed yet more work in that area.  Too much to do today...

She brushed out her hair, as a first order of business, so she wouldn't need to do it after it was damp.   And then removed her nightgown and undergarments, in order to hit the shower.

Clean and refreshed, she emerged, wrapped her hair in a towel and did some prep work on her vidboard, for ten minutes or so, before attending to her makeup.   After which she did her hair, dressed in uniform, and was ready for the day.

Naturally, Alison hoped she'd see Justin today.  But, she didn't let her enthusiasm get ahold of her too much.  With all of her hours as a councilor - and not to mention life experience - she knew better than to let her heart and head drift up into the clouds after one date!

”Really? I thought you just put up with it to keep me happy” Izzy replied as she brushed Lizzy’s beautiful red hair before putting it into a simple plait. Once she was finished with Lizzy’s hair she would get dressed and help Lizzy do the same if she needed any before retrieving two cups of coffee from the kitchenette for them. Sipping her coffee Izzy would consider Lizzy’s question before nodding ”yes we’d best try and speak to her before we start the next campaign and everyone’s busy with jump offs” Izzy replied wanting to make a start before events got away from them.

 Lizzy giggled and replied," Oh no Izzy I really enjoy it thank you."  When Izzy was done with her hair she got her coffee and then listened to Izzy's answer and replied," Ok great let me send a comm text message first and go from there."

 Lizzy got out her comms, and sent a personnel comm text message to Captain SI," Captain Si it is Lizzy, Izzy and I wish to speak to you about private matters when would eb a good time before things get hectic again, Ma'am. Also we do need to set up another time to talk more about my mom if you can Captain."  Lizzy then waited for a reply and said to Izzy," Ok all sent lets feed our fish while we wait ok Izzy." Lizzy got up carefully with Izzy's help and they went and fed the fish and waited for Captain Si to return her comm or call her.

 Captain Si  sent  an answer, after  about  an Hour..I am on the bridge now... we  are changing tack  as he  head  towards   Fuji space....  Please COM me when you are ready, and I will meet you in my quarters for a bit..

 Lizzy got the comm text from Captain Si and turned to Izzy," I guess she has time now to meet us in her quarters, you ready to go." When Izzy responded, Lizzy would send a return Comm text message," Thank you Captain we are ready, we can meet you there in a few minutes Ma'am."

With the message to Captain Si sent Izzy would help Lizzy over to where their fish tank stood where they would check the filter and heat tube before sprinkling in some flakes of food, watching as the pair of fish swam to the surface to eat.

It wouldn't take long for them to receive a reply from Captain Si with Lizzy asking if she was ready to go and meet her. Nervously biting her lip, Izzy would give a quick nod before replying "Sure...I'm ready...I think" with her briefly disappearing into the bedroom so as to retrieve their boots. Once that was done she would take Lizzy's hand and the pair of them would head out to meet Captain Si.
