Nic shrugged a little. "There was one of those 'Welcome Angels' centers there. It got targeted a few times."

He shook his head slowly. "If it wasn't for the fact that not all the Angels I've met are stupid... well I know better. Its how you act towards others that counts. Not who or what you are. And I know it would be hard to pull out the Lights Out much less civvies. Granted if we could, we'd have another detachment of fighters to wreck everyone's world."

He picked up another piece of pizza and took a bite. "Unless things have gone 180 there, most of the population is pretty pro-Angel. I have to worry about them later when things cool down." Of course later might be years down the road and he may never find out. Nic couldn't do anything about it and he would have to wait and see what happens.

He listened to Roy continue in response to Hack and nodded. "Guerilla warfare, the bane of any organized army." He snorted then. "Give them both enough rope to hang themselves. That should be entertaining."

   Admiral Hack  took a  deep drink of his  beer,... The Academy was the bread and Butter for the Angels when i came back from Mars  Battles  I  and II..They had  taught us  how  to  fight in space, Most of us  already  knew how to handle Machines in Atmo. But, Just like anything else? Creds  started  to matter more then skill... Idiots  who needed help opening thier own canopy, were 'instructors'...Instructors like that began to use  thier positions  to  make more creds...and force people, mostly women, into accepting advances to make  sure they got thier ticket...

We HAve LTs who  are pilots, Including   HE-LA  who is a Green Angel Captain....AZ-EL is an LT  and  leads her own unti on this ship...Lt Simmons is head Med  tech./..Lt Morrow is  the  Chief COMs  offcier..LT Frans is  second, only to LC Shadow , on the Hermes  wing and The Fleet over  all... We Got
 women who are  Captains of   Cap ships...and some of them are  Angels , Nivarians,and other Races  we have. Commodore McKeon is  the Flag Officer  of the Burian fleet...

  Dana   is walking  past, but   Lyri takes   her  drink, and gets her wrist scanned...Dana will wait   for Lyri to be finished to ask the angels if they want anything else.

The elevator opened as Nikki (in a new set of casual off duty togs) with her guitar across her back and holding Haleys hand.  Haley had on some soft pink tights and a Stony the pony rainbow colored shirt and tie-dyed sneakers.  "Looks like almost everyone is here.  Lets go find a seat first, then you can go work off some sugar.  Do you know what you'd like to eat?"
"Green beans, mashed taters, and um.... how about roast or broiled chicken.  maybe a leg and thigh?"

Haley thought about it then nodded.

Eventually they made their way to a table near the others and sat.  One of the ladies came and took their order and on the potato cakes  she said she would check, if they could not do she would just use mashed potatoes.  and the chicken order she would slit giving Haley what she wanted and Nikki the rest.  Nikki gave a thumbs up.  Then Nikki shift and played a song for her.  'She works hard for the money'

 Meari ate another slice of pizza and then ordered a picture of beer. She listened too everyone but she kept her eyes on that table, and if they did anything to the servers she was going to do something about it.

 Meari looked at Nic and smiled," Well I am definitely no Pro Paradise Angel, the Moon Angels and Green Angels are great and fierce warriors. Yes that type of tactics will definitely confuse Paradise Angels they are too stuck up to fight that way."

 Meari smiles at Lyri and says," Well then we wouldnt get any excitement when new recruits came aboard." Meari chuckles but still keeps an eye on the transfer table.

For his part, Roy noted the exchange between Sneak and Mix...and the look between Jax and Mix.  He had no plans to intervene, directly...just merely made a mental note that Mix would need to run with more weight or more laps, perhaps.  That was if Jax didn't provide some kind of handicap for Mix to overcome before they even made it to the run--which was entirely possible.

 Dana  came over on the pretense of  of  bringing over a Pitcher of Soda, every time   Shade  went to  reach  for it, she would  accidently jerk it  away as she  talked to the Admiral..

Finally as a whole Jug lead the Gava squad to the Rec Dec.  Uvuvu stopped at the railing and pointed to the civvie and spoke of visiting Joes for a cup of her favorite coffee.  Liig asked to follow to try one as well.  Jug nodded and they began their journey, then to return to join them  The rest continued to the dec in search of a table and sustenance.

As they passed the officers table they gave a proper salute.  They also came across one of the Felrites that they fought with on the hive ship.  Jug found it a proud moment when the Felrite asked Jug about several of the moves they did, particularly the one in the stairwell.  Jug smiled "It is easy when one can jump and leap as our species can do.  If you not mind how we eat sit and we will talk about" she pointed to the other table.  She led the way, rather happy to exchange ideas.

 Meari had watched everything that happened with Mix and Sneak, she watched Mix closely sizing him up for the kill. Then her HW friends stepped in, that made Meari smile. She also saw Jax, Nifty and Zob talking now this was something she wanted to be a part of.

 Meari smiled at Nic and replied," Ahh yes your barbaric human past, where you always tried too kill each other all the time. We just fought the Verians instead. Yes those tactics are used when required, I am a Udenese Commando I can fight whatever way is needed for victory and survival. I think I will see if I can get a bigger gun to carry though more firepower."

 Meari tried to translate what Shade was saying, she was trying really hard. " Admiral Sir I arm wrestled her three times I won twice she won once, and all three where battles Sir, and I am not what you humans say on the weak side."  When Dana came over and Shade went for the pitcher and Dana kept moving it by accident. Meari smiled at everyone smiled at Dana and said," I think my cousin Shade would like some of the soda Dana." Then she got up got closer to Dana and whispered," I know Sneak can take care of herself but I am going to hang around until you are both off just in case Mix causes trouble or I could take Mix for a walk of the ship. Go see if that would work with those three scheming." Meari looks at Jax, Nifty and Zob, Meari smiles at them.

  LT Hirr and her  felrites   were drinking and eating  when  LT Ariv sat  down to join the Gava  and the felrites. they began to talk about , Felrite hunting parties  and how they  Took  down the   massive Lorka Bears, through team work.

 Meari smiles at Dana and replied," Frakas is resting in med tech, most of my friends are here, I will stay in case there is trouble I do not mind to help friends and fellow Hermites." Meari bowed a bow that seemed full of honor and tradition.

 Meari was about to say more when the lift opened and she saw the Angel that left with him, she went to the Angel table. She saw the bloody lip on the LC, she looked at the others and Shade. " Yes we all know that is not right, so lets see what it is all about before we possibly hurt some plan the LC has."

Nikki was on her 3rd or forth song when her and Haleys food arrived to which was paid for and a very good tip left as well. Nikki gave a 2 finger whistle for Haley.  who waved at a few friends then skipped to her table, all smiles.  Nikki put her guitar aside so noone would bump into it.  both were rather famished and began.  she sent a quick text to Mitch if was not working to join he liked.

Roy was absorbed taking mental notes, and almost missed the sound of his comm going off.  His eyes flicked from person to person as he listened to Captain Si's message, a minute and almost imperceptible nod marking his understanding of it.

"Admiral, Sir?  Captain Si has just informed me she needs to see you in the War Room..."  His mind raced for a moment to create a plausible excuse, and he settled on, "She has some concerns about the Paradise fleet that she wants to address..."  He didn't say it loudly, so as not to draw attention to the exchange...but the fact that the message was being routed through Roy, rather than sent to Hack directly, was enough to indicate that the excuse was not to be taken at face value.

As Shadow approached the table, he made note of the comments being made and the reactions of other Hermes personnel, and nodded to himself at Captain Si's suggestion.  When the LC got to his chair, Roy stood up.  An advantage to having a naturally stern expression was that, as he stood, nobody could really tell whether he was angry, or concerned.  His hand covered Shadow's as the LC gripped the chair to pull it out, and their eyes met.  "Captain Si suggested a little something to sell the show to the rest of the crew..." he said softly, his eyes glancing down at the welt on Shadow's cheek.  "Perhaps to make sure that someone over there doesn't have an untimely accident before the whole story comes out."

His features tightened in a grimace, as he added, still speaking in a low voice, "I've known you too long to buy that she landed that shot on you without you agreeing to it.  Did our little bird start singing a happy song once you got her out of the cage?"  His eyes flickered with humor that didn't make it to the rest of his features, while he tried to decide just how to go about 'dressing down' Shadow as the Captain had suggested...

 FA-LN is l Moon-Lights Out...not sure of the other  Moon Angels, but they were seeded in with the Conscripts... it comes down to , Paradise  has given  Vicrock a whole , gods be damned  fleet of pristine Cap ships.. probably never even had Bird  droppings on them...

    Mostly  Vicrock/EDT  Hukans  with some  Paradise   Officers, and   crew..they filled out the   rosters  with  conscripts. Moon angles have  plan to take over a ship or two, and get all thier  people off the other vessels..shouldn't  be too damn hard, except for the numbers...

Roy gave the barest of nods, with a flicker of a smile crossing his face for a moment, before he said, clearly enough for all to hear, "Serves you right!"  Only his eyes betrayed that he wasn't furious.

"Dammit, Shadow, there ARE limits to what you get to do with new transfers!  Just because you're in charge of the fighter wing doesn't give you free rein on the ship!"  He shook his head, and turned away from the table.

"Now I've gotta go talk to Captain Si and figure out how to keep this out of your official record...the media would have a field day..."  He glanced back at Shadow, and gave a quick wink before he started walking away.

He'd take his time getting to the war room...whatever Captain Si had to tell the Admiral about the new transfers, he was pretty sure he wanted to hear it, too.

  The Admiral stood, he gave  Shadow a Stage Glare... before  =moving towards  the Lifts..he Paused  at the transfer's  table and said...

  .....  I will apologize to FA-LN for any actions the LC may have done.... I am on my way to   speak with  The Captain and see what punishments  will be laid on the  LC....most like, he'll have to run extra  in his own tunnel run.... the actions will be sorted  out  as Captain Si  recounts your  story to me....

 ZI-RE's COM  went off, with Stefi tellign him CO-NO was in Med tech . The Angel LT looked at the others.Did  any of you se CO-NO?  his eyes   looked staright  at  FA-LN.

 FA-LN said,he  arrived  at the OB   lounge  when  the LC  was taking  me  to the Officer's Dec.... He was trying to 'be friends' with the Angel bar Tender...

 ZI-RE  shook his head,I will go to Med tech to see how  he is. GR-NE  you will be in charge  until i return...

The Admiral held up his hand , and said sternly...That is somehting that i will lay to rest...right now. ZI-RE might be the  ranking LT where, of your group. but that ended  when you stepped on my dec....Pilots  are under LC  Shadow...Troopers  are Under  SM Spencer..you want to have a pecking order among yourselves,,that's  fine...but  we will step on you hard, if you try to enforce your   pecking order, over  ours..is that clear?

  ZI-RE stood   the others  answered 'aye'...are we not an expeditionary force ..

  Hack  gave  ZI-RE a level stare...The LC  will pick, which one of you will elad  your  Flight.... The SM  will sorta  out the troopers, but none of them will be leading much, until he feels he  can trust you to carry out your assignments...we don't give  , not one damn, what you did in the  PSN..you're here now, and you will do what we  wish you to do..or?..you'll leave..

 Hack   nodded to them all giving a  hard glance that seemed to catch them all,then headed  to the Lift , along with ZI-RE.

 Shadow sat  down    held up his empty soda  Glass, Dana gave him a wave.

  yeah?.. sometimes you have to let  the bad guys see what they hope they will see..like a Magic  guy  with slight of hand...its easy to fool folks when they already have themselevs convinced  what is happening.

  there weren't alot of peple singing, most of them tired  from Shore leave, others  wanting to  relax  with  the Tunnel run looming over them.

 people were content to listen to Nikki  and clap.

 some of the people's  attention were  drawn to  the Vid screens when a  new break came on..

Nic chuckled at Meari. "Just like your species, there are many subspecies of the humans, though normally those were regional and skin color differences. And don't tell me in your people's past that you didn't fight each other. I'd call bullshit on you for that," he teased her.

"Doesn't matter what race or species really, when you expect conventional warfare and get something you don't expect, that will make you pause." He gave a shrug and took a sip of his water.

And then what Meari said next about Mix almost made him spit his water out. He coughed instead and shook his head at her. "Mine hurt just from you saying that," he said with a slight laugh.

Clearing his throat he turned his head slightly towards the Vid screen when the news came on.
