Yeah...as a general rule, using enemy colors, even in a customized paint scheme, is asking for friendly fire...

The design looks like it's modified from the Jedi starfighter in the prequel trilogy/Clone Wars.  Couldn't say specific changes in design, as it's been years since I've seen either...but that was the thought that popped to mind.  I'm pretty sure both the snowspeeder and the A-Wing flavored the design for that...that was one thing that Lucas did with the prequels that I really liked...threw in enough designs that were just that much different from what we'd already seen that it was easy to envision a design evolution leading from the prequel design to what we'd seen in the original trilogy (and then he turned around and had stuff that bore absolutely no resemblance whatsoever to anything we'd seen...I'll stop now before I get up on my soapbox about the prequels...*grin*)

Setting a new record low in movie attendance tonight. There's me and ONE patron in the building.  Already shut down the two movies he wasn't watching...no sense burning lamp hours for empty theaters.  It'd be kinda depressing...but it's the day after a holiday (which is usually slow for us in the first place) and the weather turned into a major cold snap today...north wind blowing through town, I keep hearing leaves rattling past the front door and thinking someone's coming in to buy popcorn.  Not a particularly pleasant night (20deg BEFORE the wind chill--two days ago, it was over fifty), so I can understand why people would opt to stay home.

Lizzy...fire is sometimes more than red, orange, and yellow.  You could butane it?  Bring in blue, green, and gold and just not use as much orange and red.  If the motif looks like a bird or flame. use a pink tone on the red too.

I have to  correct the  Rivet's Post as well.. at the  beginning  it  is supposed to say 'Now there is..." instead of  'no'.

 The color scheme is something i wanted to add for  years, but couldn't think on how to do it. In WWI, the only planes to have colorm were  the Germans and  such...around the time the germans  used thier 'flying Circuses '

 England permitted Home defense  fighters to get painted up , because they were there to   shoot down Gotha and Stakkan Bombers, as well as Zepplins, so there was no worry about Mix ups.

WWII  featured  the  Boom in Nose  art. , but colors  on both sides  said   close to  factory paint ( i assume to save money)

oh how about gold with just red flames painted on it? Hmm thinking about it. or do like purple to blue to white? really hot.
