  As  the fighters circled thier  areas... they  could  see   some  Blue  dots, well away  from  thier  zones... they appeared to be set up in defensive formations   near the out posts with in 200 Miles of the LZ.

Sweeping across the compound Justin glanced to Port, glancing across both C & B Flights. Each flight of Skeeters arranged in arrowhead formation swept across the countryside from south to north. Sensors scanning the way ahead and area for possible threats.

After Tulliun landed the shuttle on it's designated spot and let the ramp down, he surveyed the area before him from the pilot's seat. The place was new, so he took a couple of pictures with his vidBoard.

He turned back to the cargo area after most of the troopers had disembarked. Say, Doctor, do you want all these unloaded now, or wait until we know how many we actually need? he gestured to the folded crates.

With the exchange among the others, TI-JO smirked amusedly. He remained silent otherwise, assuming that if Espinoza wanted more details he'd ask.

As the shuttle landed on the deck, TI-JO rose and chambered a round in his FN-FAL, looking at the ramp, ready for it to drop.

As it did, he looked about everywhere, scanning constantly, getting a lay of the land, while moving a few meters from the shuttle, making himself a smaller target.

This is a pretty calm place, considering the force we brought. he made a light growl under his breath, I don't like it. he wasn't talking to anyone in particular, not transmitting, it was more to himself.

He took up a pacing habit, looking between the residents that were talking to the higher ups, and the outer perimeter of the LZ.

 After the Meadowlark landed, Lizzy and Nikki made sure they were safe and then headed up for top cover. Lizzy comm'd the LC," Sir we are in position as top cover, dont see any bad guys yet."

Roy gestured in Vasser's direction.  "Talk to her about paying for your man...she's the one who didn't tell us you were here.  As for going..."  He lowered his weapons and fired a burst of rounds into the dune buggy's engine.

"By all means, let's go for a walk.  Let's get something perfectly clear, here, Lieutenant," and his voice slurred the rank into a derogatory comment, rather than an acknowledgment.  "If you were any good at your job, we wouldn't need to go to the mountain, you'd have them here and ready to leave.  And the next foul thing you say about one of my people will get you laid out on the ground next to your dumbassed gunner."

  The   Buggy shook from the   impacts  and smoke  rose  from the   engine block... The power Cells may or may not  be  compromised.

"Ensign Lynch, if Omar there so much as twitches in the direction of a weapon, spray his brains all over the LZ.  Master Chief, set up four-man teams to search the compound.  If anyone offers resistance during the search, use your best judgment on how to handle them."

He turned a look to Lt. Aba.  "You have, to this point, done absolutely nothing to warrant my trust.  You failed to identify yourself, your gunner kept a weapon trained on my personnel, and you've managed to insult about half of my people in the last ten seconds. Every other damned time we got a welcome like that, it turned out to be some asshole looking for an opening to slip a knife between our ribs.  So, you can clarify when and how you came to be in charge here, and what happened to the guy who was in charge when the lady over there left.  If I don't find your story convincing, if I find out you're lying to us, or if we see any indication at all of an ambush, I tell the ensign to pull the trigger and that shit between your ears will turn into fertilizer for the LZ.  And don't think for a minute I'll be upset if it happens."  His voice had a clear take-no-bullshit edge to it.

 Lyri whistled and  shouted out Names to head to   the Buildings..., she waved to Minnet   to check the 'gunnery holes'

The immediate area appeared clear of aerial threat, which in itself was what he'd surmised from the briefing would be the situation. The absence of immediate threat didn't rule out the possibility that the area would be uncontested.

You got it Master Chief. he called back to the MC. He walked out the back of the shuttle with his P90 SMG in his shoulder. Before he stepped out threshold of the ramp, he called to LU-NM, I'm stepping out to secure the area, LU-NM.

He stepped out and waved to the troopers still in the area as he walked around the entire area of the Meadowlark to look for any signs of anyone who wasn't part of the landing party. He walked deliberately far enough away from the shuttle so LU-NM could see him and vice versa.

Hearing the tense voices of those meeting inside the LZ, TI-JO rolls his eyes and moves slightly out to the front of the shuttles, looking into the wilderness beyond.

The pilot of the shuttle he came down in walked out past the front of the shuttle and walked around it. TI-JO could see him look up at the Gunner once or twice as he did. TI-JO kept his eyes outward and his rifle in his shoulder, but muzzle down.

  LU-NM rotated the   top Bubble  to  keep ahead of Tulliun, though the   weapon was  aimed at Buildings  and the walls.

 Minniet stood  by the second  Gunport and was looking out.....Bleedin' pile of  Manure  blocks, this is... there ian't no killing ground to speak of..got  about  40 yards  of  field before them   giant trees.. that doesn't leave much time  to whittle folks down. she said into All COMs

Gava moved silently about keeping hidden and moving to advantageous positions.  Jug sprang from out of nowhere and landed next to Aba.  A large smile showing her teeth as she 'smelled' him taking in various scents.  Her dark eyes looked him well over "I be an LT. as well" besides the dead gunner she searched the dune buggy for other weapons or persons.

TI-JO heard a loud scream and some yelling. He came to the back of the shuttle, looking toward the men that came out of the building.

 Meari searched the area as well looking and checking everyone she found.

Roy's eyes narrowed dangerously as he looked from Shade's 'prize' back to the merc lieutenant.  "Here's the thing, Louie," he said, deliberately using the derogatory nickname for lieutenants who really didn't know what was going on.  "You may be in charge of Mr. Vasser's security...but you're not doing a good enough job, or else Miss Vasser wouldn't have come looking for someone to get her people out of here.  And much as it pains her to hear it, this isn't even Miss Vasser's operation, so she's not in charge.  This is Admiral Hack's operation, and he put me in charge on the ground.  So, you answer to me.  We play by my rules, and if I'm not satisfied that you're not actually a threat, your game ends in a spectacular display of bodily fluid ballistics."

He stepped up closer, making sure he stayed clear of Harry's line of fire, and added in a dangerous growl, "Since I'm pretty sure that vocabulary's beyond your grasp, I'll simplify it.  You convince me you're friendly, or you die.  It's really that simple."  He stepped back, turning away and raising his voice as he continued, "And, so far, you've had a subordinate aim a live weapon at us, and another one apparently spying on us and passing on information via comms.  These are both decidedly unfriendly actions...better hope Ensign Lynch doesn't have a twitchy finger."

 Rigg walked over to the  man who was thrown through the  Door...his  Muzzle . inches from the  man's face.. The  fell was all but  wetting himself... he was  murmuring..A killer  robot!... Big  Lizards..aliens   all over.... The Empire must have won!

"Morningstar, updating...that IR mass was fading out for a while, but it has started growing in intensity again.  Appears to be multiple sources, rather than a single large one...but there's a lot of 'em."  He held his orbit.
