Sam smiled at both Izzy and Lizzy and said," Well I should go check in with SEC and see if I am needed and then get the gear ready for the tunnel run. I will see you both at the tunnel run, right?" Sam smiled, cleaned up her trash and stood up.

"Ok, though we probably have some other things to sort out first" Like buying a ring Izzy silently added fully realising that it may end up being the station after that they actually got married on.

On the subject of Lizzy seeing a psychiatrist Izzy would still look less than convinced despite promises of her discussing everything that went on "well...if you're sure" she cautiously replied, hoping that it wouldn't cause her any problems or stick a black mark on her records. But like she'd already decided, if it was what Lizzy wanted to do then she wasn't going to stop her going. It was at this point that Sam would get up to go, asking if she'd see them at the tunnel run "um...no, I think I'll go to SEC and let someone that actually wants to run attend, but I should see you afterwards" Izzy replied with a smile before turning to answer Lizzy's question "I haven't got any plans at the moment so I'm happy to do whatever you suggest"

 Lizzy smiled and said," Yes baby maybe I am rushing it, lets get everything planned and then see where we are headed and go from there ok Izzy."

 Lizzy hugged Izzy and said," I am fine just want a professional opinion thats all baby ok." Then Izzy said, she wasn't going to run and looked sad and replied," Izzy your a re a trooper and member of SEC don't you think it would look awesome to other SEC members if you ran just one lap." Lizzy looked at Izzy and hoped she would do the tunnel run it would show others she really cared to win this war like Lizzy was.

" I was going to call the Doctor and if she didnt have time now probably hit the Sims I have to be ready for the next jump-off." Lizzy cleaned up her stuff and and gave Sam a friendly hug and then kissed Izzy deeply.

 Sam smiled at both of them, returned Lizzy's hug and gave Izzy a hug and then said," I am going to SEC you can join me Izzy if you wish?" Sam then headed for the lifts after Izzy's response.

 Meari smiles and sees Dusk come and sit with Shade fairly near her. Meari stood and gave Dusk a warriors greetings before she sat, Meari also smiled and nodded to Roy. " Hello cousin how are you doing tonight, are you joining in on the tunnel run?"

Dusk   smiles.. ..yes.. I need to  run... Granmod's ship  doesn't have such runs... I tried to start them, but it was  voluntary..so....

 Shade  Bleeped  , Shadow laughed., Dusk pointes at him..Yes!!..so the lavy ones  hide.. the  good  ones  run... I transferred two of the  former to The Pit..they do not have to worry about running there!

Roy grinned.  "My solution was to give the prime assignments to the people who actually consistently show up to run.  There are those who prefer not to...and as long as they maintain a level of fitness that allows them to complete their duties, I'm not going to force them to."

He snorted softly, and added, "I, instead, find myself with the opposite problem...I've got people I have to order to NOT run, just to keep Stefi from hunting me down and threatening me for damaging my people.  I've never had to explain so many times that I'd rather have you stand back and watch for a couple of days than have you stuck in MedTech for a week or two because you over-stressed an unhealed injury."  With a shrug, he added, "I mean, if you're injured but ambulatory, I can at least hand you a weapon and have you stand guard duty or man a gun position or something.  If you're stuck in MedTech because you split your femur lengthwise running with a half-healed gunshot wound, I can't do anything with you besides hope the Guardians keep MedTech secure, and if they fail, that they fall close enough for you to fall out of bed and grab a weapon."

”Hmmm no I think it would look really embarrassing” Izzy replied with a giggle before going on to clarify ”…I’m sorry Liz but I don’t like running, the further away I can stay from Shadow the better and let’s face it I’m never going to get a place on a boarding team so I would sooner cover SEC and let someone who actually wants to run go instead” she said hoping to earn a little goodwill as she got on with her paperwork and various other duties.

With Lizzy saying she was going to either call the shrink or head to the SIMs Izzy would give Lizzy a disappointed look before quietly replying ”oh…well…I guess I’ll head to SEC then” with her signalling for Sam to wait a minute so she could join for her on the walk over.

 Lizzy looked disappointed took Izzy's hand and said," I don't like running either but I have too and it has saved my life when I podded out on Roussa, I know you hate him but you know how I feel about the LC. " Lizzy took a deep breath and replied," Well no you wont if you don't show you want to go, ok Izzy but I thought you were once a combat reporter, but I guess you aren't either anymore."

 Lizzy saw Izzy's look when she said what she was planning to do and Izzy said she would go to SEC. Lizzy looked at her visibly upset and replied," Ok Izzy you go to SEC, I will see you later I guess." Lizzy then gave Izzy an unemotional hug and ran off towards the OB dec not waiting for a reply from Izzy.

 Meari smiled at Dusk and Roy and replied," Good you are running but I am sad that there are lazy ones among our ranks cousin, maybe you should make it mandatory for certain ranks and positions maybe that will get more volunteers being pulled to go by the mandatory ones so they dont have to run alone." Meari chuckled at Dusk's last part, and she just nodded.

 Meari listened to Roy and just added," Yes like Frakas here he wants to run but is not allowed yet, there are many worthy Warriors on this ship SM, but not all need to run to be useful in the War effort, like Lt. Marrow and Robertson they are here for their skills and minds not their bodies. Then there are others who are caught in the middle and need to find their way. Then others who shouldn't be here as they might get others killed one has just left." Meari thought Harry had so much potential if she could have channeled that anger she had for combat and not self destruction she could have been a great warrior.

Hearing Lizzy's combat reporter comment, Izzy would visibly flinch before giving her a look of hurt confusion as she stormed off. Trailing after Sam as the pair of them started walking towards SEC, Izzy would shake her head at Sam's question before replying in a subdued voice "I don't know...Lizzy just flew off the handle at me and I'm not even sure why" with it clear that she'd been upset by the entire incident.

She would open her mouth as if to say more before sighing and shaking her head in that same dejected manner and changing the topic "let's go to the office, I probably have a mountain of worthless Chinese intel to go through" she said in a quiet, dread filled voice as she walked towards the lifts.

  sometime tomorrow  we  should be getting some replacements in. I don't knowwho we're goign to put the fear of the gods in The Empire, when i keep getting pilots  who have less  fight time, then my favortite Helmet.

Roy nodded at Meari's assessment.  "That's one of the reasons I only have Security personnel run on a volunteer basis.  We'd all be tripping all over each other if we had the entire pilot section AND Security staff trying to run at the same time.  The pilots NEED the run, it actually serves an important survival purpose for them.  Sec personnel have other ways that they can get that kind of exercise in...and, honestly, for most of us, we're rarely running any great distance at any given time, anyway.  We'd probably be better off running wind-sprints, to increase our short-distance dash capabilities for dodging between cover and firing positions."

He shrugged, and added, "But then we have situations like Shadow getting knocked down on the Green Moon, and having to run out and help retrieve him, and that was no sprint."  He scowled a little bit at the memory...it hadn't been particularly harrowing for him--or, at least, not harrowing after things like trying to outrun Largran infantry on Delta Prime with a wounded Lyri being carried across his shoulders--but it had cost the Hermes one of its more colorful pilots when Bo-Jagger's plane had been hit and basically vaporized before it hit the ground.

His expression cleared after a moment, and he added, "Bottom line is, I'm not going to overcrowd the tunnels with a bunch of people who don't want to run, but I'm not going to say no to anyone who sees the wisdom in building up their endurance."

 Meari nodded and replied," Well SM I will be running as usual and when we have new recruits, I usually run backup for the LC to watch for malcontents on extra laps. I actually run because I enjoy it, I know don't laugh, it helps my body and gives me time to reflect on trying to understand humans better."

 Meari smiled at Dusk and asked," Cousin will Grandmod be joining us here on the Rec Dec or at the tunnel run, and may I ask is she still upset with the LC, and myself for losing the part of Lady?" Meari hadn't talked to Warlord Lilit lately but the last time she was furious with the LC and disappointed in Meari for loosing that piece of Lady.

It is Hard  for me to understand  Granmod  sometimes...we all watched  Mother  real  body get melted by the  Magnesium Disc..Shade   took it hard then father.. Fathers answer to Adem and  Evert was as true as it was simple.That was no longer Mother?That was  a shell...

I was taken  to Vera, to be 'fixed'..they  could only do so much.. My skin still phased  as an Undenese, and  they could not control my thoughts. and they dared not  disassemble me? My cousins never  mentions Mothers  Body, nor did  Adem and Evert...do yiu not think  Lilit should have tried to get that body back?  Was she afraid to  fight them? or did she see that body as a 'shell'..or was it not important, because  Lady the Fighter, was more Important then Lady the HAlfbreed?

 Meari shook her head and replied," That is a good question cousin, I dont know why she has reacted this way about a piece of a shell, sometimes Grandmod puzzles me, but what do I know I am just a grunt who is good with blades." Meari nodded to Shadow as he left and then looked to Frakas and said," When you are ready to go back to med tech I will take you my friend."

Roy shrugged.  "I've got a couple of theories...neither one of them are very complimentary to the Warlord.  She may have a guilty conscience...she let Lady go, left her under Adem's custody, which got her stuck in a fighter and sent to Earth, and eventually got her killed.  And while there isn't a damned thing Lilit can do to bring Lady back, the outrage over her remains being violated gives Lilit the illusion of doing something to atone for basically abandoning Lady to her fate.  Shadow's just a scapegoat...a place for her to transfer all her own emotions and guilt about failing to do enough."  A sad smile flickered across his face as he added, "She'd hate to hear this, I'm sure, but it's a really common Human practice, making someone else's failure your excuse to vent your frustrations with your own."

He scowled slightly, and continued, "The other option is, she's decided that she no longer likes Shadow...he's too dangerous or too powerful or too popular or whatever...and this is just an excuse for her to campaign to get him knocked down a notch or two."

He shrugged, adding, "There may be other, more valid reasons.  But those two seem like the most likely options, to me."

Eventually, with people and animals well fed, Henry gathered everyone up and headed back to BioTech. He and Val to work, Can to tend his fish and play, the largs and Mila to rest up prior to running later on.

 Meari nodded to Roy and and replied," SM I think your right on, but I believe it is a combination of the 2 which also doesnt make her look too good either." Meari stood up and said," Well I think I need to get Frakas to med tech and I need to get ready for a tunnel run. See you all there, lets get you to med tech my friend."

  Frakas  frowned, But he was getting tired. The Venom had  done its  work,  now  his body  had to do its job, as well

 Other s  finished their  drinks  and eats.. then went to their  quarters to gear up for the run.

 On the rec dec.. Roll had  helped bring down one of the   ice chests  with Giles  .. Giles   was careful not  to   pull anything...as was the  rule of thumb on the ship..Nothign  went to  waste. Unused Water bottles  went  back to the Stalls, the   water and melting cies   was dumped into the Tins  for the LArgs to drink

 already   scraps were  be dished out into the 'LArg Tins'  for the  arrival   of the   running  beasties.

 Hodden Hobbled  with Minnet to the  Tables, Supe and Tucker taking the gear back to the QM , or quarters.

After returning his boarding gear to the QM he went and slipped into his SEC uniform before arriving at the Rec Dec for some food and drink, he took his usual spot at Shadows table and ordered himself a coffee and a burger when the waitress showed up and when she left he sat there thinking about last night and how strange it was to let loose like that.

 The  doors  Hissed open , Shadow   and a few others stepped out.. Shadow was  still in his  sweated up duty Uniform..but his armor  was Missing Dusk went to  Lilit's  quarters to clean up.

 They Sad   down Shadow  signaled  for Pizza  and  soda. HJey, Zob. Nice  run today, no head cases to deal with we're getting some  new folks in tomorrow. Se  what

 Shade Gave Zob a  thumbs up and sat down.
