"Your slipping Vyctar! For a Darklord I was expecting more of a challenge! This is hardly even worth my effort!"

Seeing Snake make his move, Fox charged forward also, intoning the magic of Strength in an attempt to barge the Darklord away from the Sommerswed while he was distracted

Re: Thread X:  Metal Gear Kai. Tactical Espionage, Action!

Swift grinned as she noticed the Sommerswerd at Vyctar's feet out of the corner of her eyes.
"Perhaps you never heard of the Ghost of Anskaven, hmm?" she said quietly...

As she spoke she made a quick hand signal to Raven and then began to slowly walk towards Vyctar, shifting the Sun Shard to her left hand.
Then she broke into a run, joined by Raven who veered to attack Vyctar's other side, leaping into the air and jabbing with the edge of her shield in a feint before landing and darting sharply towards the Sommerswerd with a lightning-fast movement...

Encouraged by finally having hit the Darklord, Water Hornet was ready for another attack, but the swift change of the situation prompted the Magnakai to change his plans just as quickly.

'Now, Sun Fox!' Hornet wasn't sure whether he actually voiced the words, but he was confident she knew what to do. Concentrating all his will, Hornet invoked his Kai powers.

OOC: Nexus push against Vyctar from both Hornet and Sun Fox.

Re: Thread X:  Metal Gear Kai. Tactical Espionage, Action!

Vyctar's voice was dark as he spoke, the annoyance in it wrapped into dreadful menace.

"Slipping, am I? You teamwork and powers are so great, aren't they? Well then, if I'm so weak, perhaps I shall call some help to me, to reduce your numerical advantage!"

And in so saying, he turned, one of his fist closing and pointing in the direction of a charging Sabre Fox, glowing red for a moment before a stream of similarly crimson, bloody souls rushed out of it, each one irrecognizable except for its expression of suffering, despair and pain, to collide straight with Sabre Fox's charging form. The Magnakai was sent back as the magic smashed into him, as his own hit caused the soul to scatter somewhat for a moment, before reforming into a singular form which hovered a few inches above the ground.

It was a mockery of a human form, with the arms made out of those of each composing soul twisted and wrapped together like rope, the hands twisted into sharp and curved claws, and all of it covered with twisting eyes and mouths opened in a silent, screaming plead for mercy that would not be granted. The creature seemed uncaring for what was going on in the rest of the room, only focused on the target it had been aimed at, pointing one claw toward Sabre Fox as he rose back to his feet, ready for the confrontation.

Even as he neutralized Sabre Fox in this manner, Vyctar had raised his shield hand without even turning, letting Sun Snake's attack smash over it before pushing the Kai Lord back and hissing, in a more satisfied tone:

"Do you think that's a bit better, Lord Snake? Is my strenght really so sm..."

Before he could finish, an arrow planted itself into the Darklord's throat; he paused, turning an annoyed look in the direction where Dawn Sword was standin with the silver bow of Duadon in her hand, before he broke the arrow and let his regeneration push tip out of his body, the wound clearly of no concern.

However, the distraction was enough to let Water Hornet and Sun Fox unleash their own attack, the blonde girl nodding at his nod; they both thrusted with their swords at the same time, using their weapon to channel the attack as they would a strike with them. It unleashed a powerful blast of wind toward Vyctar, with Sun Fox's own almost taking command of Hornet's by drawing the strenght of his push into a funnel made with her own, which directed it even as it also condensed it by tightening as it traveled along, so that, when it finally smashed into Vyctar, a wind which diffused would have had enough power to dent stone was condensed into a tip smaller than a arrow. The power of the impact was enough to literally send the Darklord flying, even if only a brief distance, and is so doing, impaling him onto Silver Raven's waiting sword.

The hit was far from being enough to kill the Darklord, his supernatural resilience and regeneration already remedying to the damage; in fact, the massive body of their enemy impacting the platinum haired Kai hurt the human far more than the creature of darkness. However, the Magnakai ignored the pain as he moved to push his sword onward and downward, in an effort to keep the villain pinned to the ground even as he said:

"I'm holding him, Swift! Now's the time!"

Vyctar realized then what was going on and, despite Silver Raven's effort, freed himself from the lockdown, sending the magnakai smashing into the wall in the process, as he darted back toward the Sommerswerd. However, with a quickness that matcher her own name, Swift Fox had already been dashing for the center of the room well before Raven's call, reaching her prize just as Vyctar reached her, and as he swept at her with hiw sword, claws, stumped tails and spikes from all over her body, she somersaulted back, her form spinning over the attack and away from all harm - and when she landed, she was holding in her hand a golden blade pulsating with the power of sunlight.

So, summing up this round's results:

Water Hornet: damage taken 5 (7 -2), damage inflicted 2 (1 +1)
Ability used: Nexus push (combine with Sun Fox to determine result = success!), no damage (both sides)

Swift Fox: damage taken 2 (5 -3), damage inflicted 3
Ability used: Acrobatic Maneuver, Sommerswer retrieval (success!), no damage (both sides)

Silver Raven: damage taken 7, damage inflicted 2 (1 +1)

Dawn Sword: damage taken N.A. (not engaged, using bow), damage inflicted 5 = 1 NW cap

Sun Fox: damage taken 0, damage inflicted 12 (6 +6)
Ability used: Nexus push (combined with Water Hornet to determine result = success!), no damage (both sides)

Sabre Fox: damage taken 1, damage inflicted 15 (11 +4) (changed to target: Pseudo-Cryptspawn)
Ability used: charge (interrupted by new opponent, reverted to normal attack)

Sun Snake: damage taken 5 (6 -1), damage inflicted 4 (2 +2)
All damage to both combatants reduced to 0 due to Vyctar's shield

Well, that was very little damage this turn (with one big exception), but here's the report anyway: Swift Fox, Sun Fox, Water Hornet, Sun Snake and Dawn Sword all take no damage, Sabre Fox loses 1 END, Silver Raven loses 7 END, the Pseudo-Cryptspwan loses 15 END (talk about one superhumanly powerful charge, there), and Vyctar loses 1 END (it would be more, but as always, his regeneration factos in). Also, Vyctar now need to only recover 2 more END before his tail can be used again.

Sabre Fox, you're now forced into melee with the Pseudo-Cryptspawn, which ate up your attack for this turn. It will focus on you, so until it's dead, you can't do anything but fight it - although if others want to help you, they're allowed to. Here's the Pseudo-Cryptspawn current stats:

Pseudo Cryptspawn: CS 24, END 25/40

I hope this felt like a worthwile turn! Not much damage, but a great amount of progress on the tactical front - although Vyctar also made his own tactical move, of course - so things are looking good for you, I think. Let me know what you all are going to do next! ^_^

Sun Snake's head snapped to see how Sabre Fox was. Seeing the powerful blow the magnakai had already dealt to his foe, Sun Snake managed to turn back to Vyctar without showing any emotion until he wanted to. Knowing the source of Vyctar's Crypt Spawn from Swift Fox's mental urging earlier, Sun Snake let his laughter echoed around. "You can't even summon real Crystp Spawn? Neither Naar nor your 'victory' over the Nadziranim gave you that? Please, show us more how limited you really are." Sun Snake shook his head chucking.

"You're not slipping Vyctar, you're cracking. You've just admitted, somewhere in your mind, that a demi-god cannot defeat us alone. Perhaps that fear even originated from your own mind. But you are isolated, and alone. All you can do is rip what little is left of yourself out in to the world and watch it burn. You weaken yourself for nothing."

Sun Snake nodded to Swift Fox as she finished the manoeuver, and hid his his visual and mental scan of the room to make sure Silver Raven and Sabre Fox were still well. "And still you fall for the distractions, Vyctar. Were you always so tactically tunnelled on the foes you knew rather than the dangers you didn't?"

Sun Snake moved himself to clearly to make a new attack.

As she landed, Swift looked down at the shining golden blade in her hand as if she had surprised herself in being able to grab it.
Her eyes widened and a look of puzzlement briefly appeared on her face.

I wonder why it didn't burn me...  I've been in the darkness so long that I thought so much light would burn me...

She closed her eyes, her grip on the sword's hilt relaxing slightly.

We are Sanna.
We are the Ghost of Anskaven...

...I am Swift Fox of the Kai!

Swift's eyes opened again, this time glowing with a golden light.
Her gaze fixed on Vyctar as she brought the mirrored shield in front of herself, then in a sudden movement, sprang forward swinging the Sommerswerd in a deadly arc...

With a quick movement, Water Hornet wiped sweat from his brow - the result of his mental concentration. And he allowed himself a quick smile. 'The Sommerswerd - the legendary Sword of the Sun!' a thought flashed through his mind, before he swerved his focus back to the fight.

Sabre Fox seemed to be on top of the situation with the summoned soul-monster, thus in an instant Water Hornet made a decision. Rather feeling Swift Fox wielding the Sommerswerd than seeing her in his peripheral vision, the young Magnakai dashed forward as if planning to intercept the fellow Kai Lady.

The plan was not that much different from what it seemed, except for one detail: Hornet guessed Vyctar might try to ensnare Swift Fox with the myriad of snakes covering his body, which appeared to wriggle even more aggressively and hissing as if feeling genuine hatred towards the Kai and most importantly the godly weapon.

His Turtle Rapier pressed flattly against the rim of his Turtle Buckler, Hornet went straight for the cente of snakes' cluster, the weapon sliding along shield's perimeter.

Re: Thread X:  Metal Gear Kai. Tactical Espionage, Action!

For the first time since the battle had started, Vyctar's eyes widened in fear at the holy blade moving toward him, and he was quick to raise his shield; the blade bounced off the protection, living a slight dent into the steel, but even as Swift Fox's regained her balance, Water Hornet, who had been moving in front of her to stop any retaliation Vyctar might have had, suddenly changed tacks to take advantage of the enemy's opening to dart in and let out a quick trust at the enemy.

The Darlord roared, slashing out with his sword only to watch it bounce off Hornet's own shield, but in so doing opened his back for just long enough to let Sun Fox and Sun Snake take advantage, the two Magnakai opening deep gashes into his back with their blade before backing off well before he could counterattack.

Vyctar watched the others, confirming that Sabre Fox was still occupied by the cryptspwan - who he was quickly and efficiently tearing to piece, looking almost bored in the process - and that Silver Raven was drinking something and not casting a spell, before turning to Dawn Sword just as she let loose another arrow, which he caught in midair and snapped in two with a really annoyed expression.

"Well, I guess you've made yourself more dangerous. But in the end, it won't change a thing."

Then, he raised his blade, and the crackling lighting over it suddenly erupted, surrounding the darklord's body before shaping itself into layers of scales, wrapping around his form in the clear shape of a protective armor, as Vyctar prepared himself for the Kai's next attack.

Water Hornet: damage taken 0, damage inflicted 7 (6 +1) = 1 NW
Ability used: interposing (no effect since Swift Fox took no damage)

Swift Fox: damage taken 5 (6 -1), damage inflicted 12 (2 +10)
All damage to both combatants reduced to 0 due to Vyctar's shield

Silver Raven: damage taken N/A (not engaged, drinking potion), damage inflicted N/A

Dawn Sword: damage taken N/A (not engaged, using bow), damage inflicted 0

Sun Fox: damage taken 0, damage inflicted 12 (6 +6) = 3 MW

Sabre Fox: damage taken 0, damage inflicted 20 (16 +4), target: Pseudo-Cryptspawn

Sun Snake: damage taken 0, damage inflicted 8 (6 +2)

That was a good hauld, I'd say: nobody got injured at all, Vyctar lost 10 END (after factoring in the regeneration, it was 12 before), and the Cryptspwan lost 20 END, being now at death's door. Talk about a successful turn! ^_^

Although Vyctar is now protected by an armour of electricity which was generated by his sword (which reduces the damage he takes by 2) and has regained the use of his tail for the next turn.

Even so, you're almost there: one last effort, and you should be able to do it!

Sun Snake didn't respond to Vyctar's comment. There was no gloating, bravado, insults, or taunts. Sun Snake's demeanor had changed, his face falling in to an expressionless dispassion. He looked around and through Vyctar, moving as if looking to solve the final piece of a complex puzzle.

He only spoke when he looked around to the others. "For Magnamund. For Kai," he said, nodding to them and then going back to regarding Vyctar's area with no regard for the being occupying it. He didn't look round to the others again, as if knowing they were all focused as one to Vyctar's defeat.

Re: Thread X:  Metal Gear Kai. Tactical Espionage, Action!

Swift quickly regained her balance after the attack, immediately swinging the mirrored shield in front of herself and drawing back the Sommerswerd in a defensive stance.

She watched Vyctar intently, her eyes still shimmering with the reflection of an odd golden fire that didn't seem to exist anywhere in the room, now added to by the flickering light of Vyctar's summoned armour.

For some time, she remained still, then slowly moved the shield aside, raising the golden blade in front of her, clearly positioning herself ready to attack again.

"Sun Snake told me about you before..."

The fact that Swift was now standing as still as a statue, staring unblinkingly into Vyctar's eyes (at least the ones on his head) may have made it difficult at first to realise she was the one who had spoken up.

"He said you were a singular man, a powerful warrior who possessed great skill, but also compassion and intelligence.  Someone we could someday have made peace with and known you had the honour to keep that peace."
She didn't blink, but her eyes held a hint of sadness.
"I'm disappointed to see someone throw that away, along with their humanity.  Trading it for this..."
She made a slight gesture with the blade, pointing at Vyctar's body.
"If you'd still been human, with human qualities, I would have preferred to save you from this.  But now, you're not that person any more.  So maybe this will be a kind of mercy..."

She fell silent then, standing perfectly still.
Then a reflection of light from some unseen source glinted along the blade of the Sommerswerd.
In that instant, Swift darted forward and leaped upwards, whirling the blade around herself like a golden hurricane...

At the same time, Silver Raven tossed aside the now-empty vial he had been drinking from earlier and moved in to attack...

OOC: Thought this move worthy of a little mini Wall of Text.  Hope for his sake that shield of his is a strong one! ;)

If Water Hornet had noticed the change in Vyctar's attitude, he didn't show it; and he said nothing, but that was unsurprising, since the young Magnakai rarely talked during fights, concentrating fully on the battle.

As the Darklord's armour materialized, he took a half step back  - rather merely changing stance with the other foot ending in front - and froze on the spot for a brief moment. 'The wounded beast is mostly dangerous when it senses its end,' Hornet reminded himself.

A normal human would have never been able to catch up with Swift Fox's movement. Even a Kai would've been a split second behind. But the connection that Hornet shared with his fellow Kai brothers and sisters, and which was augmented by Sun Snake's powers, allowed the Magnakai Primate to start out at just right moment to reach Vyctar the same moment Swift would.

Re: Thread X:  Metal Gear Kai. Tactical Espionage, Action!

Once again, Vyctar showed clear fear as Swift Fox attacked, rising his shield; however, this time Swift Fox's spinning attack was so devastating that the golden blade sheared through the steel of it, seinding shards of the shattered weapon to scatter throughout the room like a rain of steel.

It was enough to keep him from being armer, but it also slowed his reaction so that Swift Fox could get clear; when he swung his sword back to hit her, Water Hornet was there, redirecting the blade away with his shield as well as trusting forward, the tip of his rapier just barely bypassing the electric armour before he, too, moved out of the Darklord's reach.

Silver Raven attack was less lucky, as his Dragon's Song failed to pierce the armour of lighting the Darklord was wearing, causing Vyctar to retaliate with his now fully regenerated tail, the hit smashing both the Magnakai and Dawn Sword to the ground, while the arrow shot by the latter simply fell to ashes as it came into contact with the electricity around the darklord.

However, in the end all of those attacks where merely distractions, allowing Sun Fox and Sun Snake to strake unimpeded, the Kai Lady's broadword and the Kai Lord's axe smashing into Vyctar's back in an intertwined divampation of golden light and silver flame, punching through the electric armor, the mesh of steel skin, the flesh of billion snakes and the kagonite skeleton underneath, melting and burning everything in their path to strike at the core within, sending Vyctar to topple down on his knees.

A moment later, the electric armour around Vyctar dissipated, and the form of the darklord started to exude a black mist that wrapped around the suddenly motionless body, thick enough that, when Sabre Fox's charge which had moved through the Cryptspawn and dissolved it reached him, it was stopped entirely, Vigilance entering for less than an inch into it before being repulsed bckward.

Yet, despite the attack, this time Vyctar didn't move, didn't counterattack, its form merely staying there, completely motionless.

Water Hornet: damage taken 0, damage inflicted 5 (6 +1 -2) = 1 NW
Ability used: interposing (no effect since Swift Fox took no damage)

Swift Fox: damage taken 0, damage inflicted 14 (6 +10 -2)
All damage to both combatants reduced to 0 due to Vyctar's shield

Silver Raven: damage taken 7, damage inflicted 0 (1 -2)

Dawn Sword: damage taken 6, damage inflicted 0 (2 -2)

Sun Fox: damage taken 3, damage inflicted 9 (5 +6 -2) = 3 MW

Sabre Fox: damage taken 0, damage inflicted 22 (18 +4), target: Pseudo-Cryptspawn

Sun Snake: damage taken 0, damage inflicted 10 (6 +6 -2)

Well, that's 12 damage to Vyctar after we account for his regeneration and Swift Fox's deadly attack being negated - and obviously the Cryptspawn was never really going to threaten Sabre Fox. Your NPCs lost a few END, but you made it through unarmed and won, so congratulations! :)

Also, as promised, you defeated a Darklord, and get a prize for it! For those of you who haven't decided yet, just tell me in a PM - we can discuss it if you're unsure or have something particular you want to request.

And again, good job done in surviving this combat - you've just joined the prestigious and extremely small club of the Kai who defeated a Darklord, so feel free to make a reaction post appropriate to the situation at hand! ^_^

Silver Raven frowned at Sabre Fox's words and moved quickly to Swift Fox's side to support her as he said to the only Magnakai in the room who was taller than himself:

"I think Swift is perfectly capable of wielding the Sommerswerd, and nobody's more worthy of saving us all than her. Why should she let a deed that'll always cement her name as one of the heroes of the Order, as she so rightly deserve to be, to you?"

He was clearly annoyed at the mere suggestion that Swift Fox might somehow not be "good enough" to be remembered as the darklord's slayer herself.

Yeah, for some reason, Silver Raven will react badly to anything which might even just imply that Swift Fox is somehow unwhorty of anything. Must strike some sort of nerve or something, who knows?

Re: Thread X:  Metal Gear Kai. Tactical Espionage, Action!

Sun Snake had seemingly been focused upon something else, or perhaps not focused wasa better description. With the battle won, he seemed to take a moment before realising there was speech.

"Sabre, this is not just Vyctar, and there is greater debt to be paid. Your actions may have let the Sommerswerd slip through to our enemy, but the blade cares for its owner not itself. No, there was a worse action that my decision, despite your attempts to stop it, allowed. The Grandmaster's body was allowed to come here. We have had our chance to say goodbye, you and I, but the other team did not."

Sun Snake nodded to Swift Fox in respect.

He looked to the group. "This was not a victory over a Darklord, this was a failure to turn a potential ally in darkness to our way. This is not a battle to put in to the annuls, to boast over. This is simply a way to finally put our Grandmaster to rest. To show that we learned his lesson to work together. We fought together, as one, and never forget we have all survived because even Vyctar - somewhere in his subconscious - accepted and worked for this outcome. The mind link would not have worked had he shielded his mind, or fought differently. So let us say goodbye, and then as one leave here and from today onwards allow our order to move as one in a new chapter. The actions of each of us have fought the darkness back this day. Each of us owe a debt to everyone else for the things they have done to allow this. And each of us will always know we always owe a debt for the things we did not do. No one action is going to make us feel our weaknesses or failures any less. Yet all we have to do is work to strengthen those around us, every day, to ensure that never happens again. Our weaknesses are nothing to be ashamed of, for we have the strength of each other. Our failures are nothing but the fire to always be better."

Sun Snake stopped, having caught sight of Vyctar's body out of the corner of his eye, and perhaps finding his thoughts knocked from him.

As Vyctar fell, Swift seemed suddenly weary, stumbling slightly and leaning on the hilt of the Sommerswerd.  The mirrored shield on her left arm emitted a faint ringing sound as the edge of it clunked against the floor, although the glass seemed unaffected by the impact.
The golden glow about her eyes dimmed and went out again, leaving Swift's pale blue ones looking tiredly over the form of the enemy they had defeated.

She frowned slightly at the discussion going on, and straightened herself up.
A look of anger flared up in her then.
"Worthy?  Not worthy?  What does it matter?" she snapped.  "Vyctar set out to imitate a Darklord, nothing more.  I meant what I said to him.  The man Sun Snake told me about at the Maakengorge chose to throw away his humanity and become that thing, a weapon for dark slaves of Naar to squabble over who gets to wield it.  That man was already dead before we even entered this place.  We destroyed a lingering ghost, a weapon, nothing more."

Her look softened as she turned her attention back to Vyctar and stepped closer.  Her knuckles whitened on the hilt of the Sommerswerd.
"I came here for the one who helped Banedon to save me, to stop me from becoming something like this" she whispered quietly.  "I'm sorry I couldn't be there to save you when it mattered.  I never was good at saving people..."

Slowly, she lifted the Sommerswerd, as though suddenly having difficulty managing the weight of it, aligning the tip of the blade with the place she knew the core was positioned inside the body.

"Thank you.  And goodbye..."

Closing her eyes, she thrust the blade forward into the body in front of her...

Re: Thread X:  Metal Gear Kai. Tactical Espionage, Action!

Can Sun Snake sense anything coming towards them, now Vyctar's influence is out of the way?

Sun Snake looked about the room to make sure everyone was fine with his own eyes, even though he could feel they were well through his mind. He gave a nod and smile to Dawn Sword upon seeing she had survived the battle, and Vyctar's last desperate attack.

He shook his head, as if trying to clear something from it. He looked to Sun Fox. "I cannot shake the mind link for the moment, it feels like. And I sense neither can you, for perhaps different reasons. Did you finally unlock your potential for Divination?"

Sun Fox, who had seemed lost in thought for a moment, turned to Sun Snake at his comment, and offered him an hesitant smile.

"It's... it's like there's so much out there, isn't it? And I... I'm just so small in comparison... it's... humbling."

She paused again, as if unsure how to explain, then shrugged and added:

"It puts things into perspective, to understand how little I matter, in the grand scheme of things. Is this that makes you so wise, Sun Snake? This constant knowledge, this awareness of everything?"

However, before the man could answer, she raised an hand and added:

"No, don't tell me - I think... I think I'll like to figure this out on my own, a bit. I... I really need the practice."

Then, she moved to were Swift Fox was standing, and enveloped the smaller girl in a warm hug as she said to her, in a soft tone:

"I miss him too, you know? But I think... I think he would have approved of what you did for him."

Re: Thread X:  Metal Gear Kai. Tactical Espionage, Action!

Even after Vyctar had fallen to the ground, Water Hornet kept his battle stance, the shield in front of him and the rapier ready to strike. It was only when others relaxed, that Hornet lowered his own weapon and took a step forward to examine the form on the ground.

He stood silently while others talked. During the fight he had no time to think about this, but as he stood over the defeated Darklord, he was surprised there was no feeling of accomplishment, no elation of winning over one of the greatest foes of the Kai, not even joy of surviving the extremely deadly encounter. Only fatigue and pain of received wounds.

And emptiness - which Hornet realized as Sun Snake spoke. Eventually sheathing his rapier, the young Magnakai snatched the Priest's mask off and rubbed his face angrily

Hornet made a step forward as Swift Fox raised the Sommerswerd, raising his hand as if to stop her, but the Kai Lady was true to her name and Water Hornet could only let the hand fall again as the Darklord's presence was wiped from this world.
He looked around, his gaze sliding from one person to another, lingering on Sun Fox for a moment  before resting on Dawn Sword, as Sun Fox approached Swift Fox.

"Is anybody hurt seriously? We should try to mend the injuries as best as we can and then hurry outside, I assume," the young Magnakai said grimly but with visible determination.

Re: Thread X:  Metal Gear Kai. Tactical Espionage, Action!

Odd, I wonder why Water Hornet wanted to not have Vyctar killed?

"Dawn Sword, you should attend your injuries," suggested Sun Snake, realising his student had taken some serious wounds despite still standing. He also smiled ruefully to himself for a moment, perhaps realising he had downplayed the death of Vyctar when in the case of Dawn Sword without magic nor magic weapon nor Magnakai level skills to aid her, it had been a brave and impressive feat for her to have survived the battle as she had.

Sun Snake gave a small bow and smile to Sun Fox. "As you say, but I will give you a small hint... I'm not that wise." With two foxes engaged, Sun Snake turned to the third.

"Sabre Fox. Water Hornet. I believe our foes are concentrating at the upper exit to the citadel - including all the Kraan forced outside - and outside the citadel on the ground. That is where the Xagash outside still is, along with the Helghast. The Agarashi is on the ground level, being left to deal with us. I think if we escape the lower levels we have only the Agarashi to worry about before going out. Then we will have everything on high alert to worry about..."

Sun Snake looked around the chamber. "I wonder where Renora is, now? I also wonder... we did not think we could unlock the bonds on the Nadziranim magic to let the lava burst in this place. But that was before we were right in the heart of this place, with at lkeast one more of us able to use Divination to link a magical and Nexus based attack on those bonds. And we have the Sommerswerd to potentially augment such an attack. Also, my ability to link our minds together managed to extend to Vyctar this time. I wonder if that level of openness would give us greater power..."

Sun Snake then looked ruefully to the Agarashi. "Hmm, I wonder if we could jsut persue our friend upstairs to attack the challenges to its authority that trapped it, not us."

Lol, that would be the 'blue sky' plan. Blow the fortress up, drive the Agarashi upwards to attack the people at the top of the citadel, then try to escape through lava and chaos :D I'm not sure how feasible and possible that is. It wasn't a game day ago, but so much has changed since then :p
