Re: Thread X: Metal Gear Kai. Tactical Espionage, Action!
Vyctar's voice was dark as he spoke, the annoyance in it wrapped into dreadful menace.
"Slipping, am I? You teamwork and powers are so great, aren't they? Well then, if I'm so weak, perhaps I shall call some help to me, to reduce your numerical advantage!"
And in so saying, he turned, one of his fist closing and pointing in the direction of a charging Sabre Fox, glowing red for a moment before a stream of similarly crimson, bloody souls rushed out of it, each one irrecognizable except for its expression of suffering, despair and pain, to collide straight with Sabre Fox's charging form. The Magnakai was sent back as the magic smashed into him, as his own hit caused the soul to scatter somewhat for a moment, before reforming into a singular form which hovered a few inches above the ground.
It was a mockery of a human form, with the arms made out of those of each composing soul twisted and wrapped together like rope, the hands twisted into sharp and curved claws, and all of it covered with twisting eyes and mouths opened in a silent, screaming plead for mercy that would not be granted. The creature seemed uncaring for what was going on in the rest of the room, only focused on the target it had been aimed at, pointing one claw toward Sabre Fox as he rose back to his feet, ready for the confrontation.
Even as he neutralized Sabre Fox in this manner, Vyctar had raised his shield hand without even turning, letting Sun Snake's attack smash over it before pushing the Kai Lord back and hissing, in a more satisfied tone:
"Do you think that's a bit better, Lord Snake? Is my strenght really so sm..."
Before he could finish, an arrow planted itself into the Darklord's throat; he paused, turning an annoyed look in the direction where Dawn Sword was standin with the silver bow of Duadon in her hand, before he broke the arrow and let his regeneration push tip out of his body, the wound clearly of no concern.
However, the distraction was enough to let Water Hornet and Sun Fox unleash their own attack, the blonde girl nodding at his nod; they both thrusted with their swords at the same time, using their weapon to channel the attack as they would a strike with them. It unleashed a powerful blast of wind toward Vyctar, with Sun Fox's own almost taking command of Hornet's by drawing the strenght of his push into a funnel made with her own, which directed it even as it also condensed it by tightening as it traveled along, so that, when it finally smashed into Vyctar, a wind which diffused would have had enough power to dent stone was condensed into a tip smaller than a arrow. The power of the impact was enough to literally send the Darklord flying, even if only a brief distance, and is so doing, impaling him onto Silver Raven's waiting sword.
The hit was far from being enough to kill the Darklord, his supernatural resilience and regeneration already remedying to the damage; in fact, the massive body of their enemy impacting the platinum haired Kai hurt the human far more than the creature of darkness. However, the Magnakai ignored the pain as he moved to push his sword onward and downward, in an effort to keep the villain pinned to the ground even as he said:
"I'm holding him, Swift! Now's the time!"
Vyctar realized then what was going on and, despite Silver Raven's effort, freed himself from the lockdown, sending the magnakai smashing into the wall in the process, as he darted back toward the Sommerswerd. However, with a quickness that matcher her own name, Swift Fox had already been dashing for the center of the room well before Raven's call, reaching her prize just as Vyctar reached her, and as he swept at her with hiw sword, claws, stumped tails and spikes from all over her body, she somersaulted back, her form spinning over the attack and away from all harm - and when she landed, she was holding in her hand a golden blade pulsating with the power of sunlight.
So, summing up this round's results:
Water Hornet: damage taken 5 (7 -2), damage inflicted 2 (1 +1)
Ability used: Nexus push (combine with Sun Fox to determine result = success!), no damage (both sides)
Swift Fox: damage taken 2 (5 -3), damage inflicted 3
Ability used: Acrobatic Maneuver, Sommerswer retrieval (success!), no damage (both sides)
Silver Raven: damage taken 7, damage inflicted 2 (1 +1)
Dawn Sword: damage taken N.A. (not engaged, using bow), damage inflicted 5 = 1 NW cap
Sun Fox: damage taken 0, damage inflicted 12 (6 +6)
Ability used: Nexus push (combined with Water Hornet to determine result = success!), no damage (both sides)
Sabre Fox: damage taken 1, damage inflicted 15 (11 +4) (changed to target: Pseudo-Cryptspawn)
Ability used: charge (interrupted by new opponent, reverted to normal attack)
Sun Snake: damage taken 5 (6 -1), damage inflicted 4 (2 +2)
All damage to both combatants reduced to 0 due to Vyctar's shield
Well, that was very little damage this turn (with one big exception), but here's the report anyway: Swift Fox, Sun Fox, Water Hornet, Sun Snake and Dawn Sword all take no damage, Sabre Fox loses 1 END, Silver Raven loses 7 END, the Pseudo-Cryptspwan loses 15 END (talk about one superhumanly powerful charge, there), and Vyctar loses 1 END (it would be more, but as always, his regeneration factos in). Also, Vyctar now need to only recover 2 more END before his tail can be used again.
Sabre Fox, you're now forced into melee with the Pseudo-Cryptspawn, which ate up your attack for this turn. It will focus on you, so until it's dead, you can't do anything but fight it - although if others want to help you, they're allowed to. Here's the Pseudo-Cryptspawn current stats:
Pseudo Cryptspawn: CS 24, END 25/40
I hope this felt like a worthwile turn! Not much damage, but a great amount of progress on the tactical front - although Vyctar also made his own tactical move, of course - so things are looking good for you, I think. Let me know what you all are going to do next! ^_^
