Norion steps through the magically-created portal and through his keen dwarven senses, coupled with the faint illumination provided by the violet moss beholds a majestic undercity rising from the cavern's bottom.
An underground river flows through the bottom of a wide ravine, at the far end of which are a series of platformed dwellings carved from the very stone itself.
A narrow trail leads along one side of the ravine, seemingly meeting up with a stone bridge ahead.
There are no signs of activity within the cavern and no light emanates from any of the structures ahead. With so many dwellings, one would expect there to be at least some signs of life, but alas, none. At least not that one can see from the present vantage point, which is at least a quarter mile distant to the aforementioned underground city.
