Go ahead and roll for availability once you post what you are looking for, and apply the percentages accordingly based on the order in which you listed the items.

Re: Aurora 1-3 The Starship Aurora

At one point during the stay, Bartja returns to a group assembly with a big grin - and a BFG!  He shows the party his new toy - a Heavy Gyrojet Rifle, a rarity even amongst Yazirian fighters.

"I figure since I'm not trained in proper weapon use, I should get the biggest meanest gun I could find.  No sense in finesse when you can't shoot straight.  Better to just blast the stuffing out at the longest range possible with these 25mm armor piercing rounds!"

With this wonder now in his hands, he leaves to find even more deviltry.

Desiraye can't help but crack a smile when she sees Bartja's purchase and his reasoning behind getting it.  "Come big or don't come at all eh Bart?  Don't forget some kind of sidearm.  Some places may not allow BFG's like that planetside or on a space station.  I'm just sayin',"

Re: Aurora 1-3 The Starship Aurora

OOC: As for purchases, you will have access to further purchases for awhile now, so don't feel you have to make all decisions right now.

I will open a new thread about current weapons/equipment.

What I'd ask that you do is first post a list of your equipment (and ammo).

Then below that, if you are using a unique weapon not in the original rules (i.e., from Starfrontiersman), then please copy and paste the description of the weapon/item into that, as well as damage, range, etc., and please indicate the issue it comes from.  That will help me, and it will also help others visualize the equipment and be able to give suggestions in character, as well as decide if they want something similar.

Yes.

Excellent!

I would like our contact to see if he can get me some power bletpacks & some Variable timers that I failed rolls on when you get the chance!

Also, did you get my question on Flak Armor?

Actually, if it's something in the Alpha Dawn rules like basic equipment and ammo, you don't need to roll for that stuff.

Re: Aurora 1-3 The Starship Aurora

While you are still getting weapons and things, a ByChem representative approaches you.  "Your presence is requested by ByChem and military representatives.  I can give you temporary access to that area of the Aurora."

OOC: This will not affect your ability to continue buying things.  But this will get the next adventure started.

OOC: Sounds good, I wasn't sure.

BIC: "I guess we can have a listen.  Leave us the place we need to meet and we can be there shortly, maybe an hour?"

"Gee, that name sounds vaguely familiar...?  Bychem.
What are they again?  A pan-galactic corp, right?"

What was wrong with Hammer's memory banks?

"An hour would be good if possible. I'm wrapping up a transaction at the moment." Said the professor as he grabs a bundle of boxes in his arms.

Hammer received a message with info on his employment, and a payment of his salary.

"Eh?  I'm a ByChem employee?  I had no idea.  Let me see here."  Hammer begins to do some research on his job...

Re: Aurora 1-3 The Starship Aurora

For those who have not been following what we mean by the "Star Frontiersman," they are a series of ongoing publications adding new features to Star Frontiers.  They come out about 2-3 times a year  All those rules and magazine issues are available free online at this site:

http://www.starfrontiersman.co...ads/starfrontiersman

Overall, they are very high quality and a lot to give new dimensions to the game.  They are a fun read too.

You can download them or read them online.

Really good material in the Starfrontiersman mags.  I highly recommend them for a lot of different stuff.

Re: Aurora 1-3 The Starship Aurora

Hammer spends his credits on gear, and tries to get the best deals.

"What do you mean you don't have the Charger Belt Pack Alpha 7L420's?  I clearly read in your chrononet site that you have them in stock and discounted for ByChem employees!  Are you discrminating against a Mechanon?  Bah!  Go find it in your storage area.  I'll wait.
Ho hum.
...
Hmm, maybe I'll play a free app on my built-in Chronocom?"

Where is all of his old gear?  What happened to him that he wound up stranded on a ship, damaged implants, and memory partially wiped?  The chronocom game helps distract his mind, but he let's 20% of his mind-process follow the thought-thread.

Any gear Hammer bought is on board the Aurora in storage.  He can access it at any time.

Re: Aurora 1-3 The Starship Aurora

Once Desiraye is done shopping, she pockets what few credits she has laft and goes to the meeting room where there is a possible job offering on the table.  She will also wait for the other members of the group if they're done as well.

OOC: I forgot to ask this with gear but, what would be the cost for durable gun transport/travel cases for her gear cost?

Re: Aurora 1-3 The Starship Aurora

Bartja prepares for the meeting, going over his list of wants and needs as he strokes his gyro-jet rifle.  It had been years since he'd used one.  With no formal training in para-military weaponry of any sort, he rather hoped that if there was a fire-fight in their future (and there almost certainly was) - THIS gun would be able to make a difference in his hands....

...and if not the gun, at least he'd been able to train his hands also.

"Ready when you are" he says absently to Kri'lik.

S'Krllk is prepared for the meeting, and looks it. But despite that fact he constantly adjusts his new bodycomp, continuously querying its sensors and calibrating them, he appears to be paying attention and is ready to go.

Re: Aurora 1-3 The Starship Aurora

Before the big meeting, Hammer attempts to recover some of his research -- there's a lot of it on computers all over the massive interplanetary network.

He can't remember much of what he's supposed to have accomplished (barely anything, actually).  Before the mission he was an up and coming Xenobiologist, some had even called him a prodigy.  And now, he was a amnesia victim.

Hammer mumbles on his way to the meeting."Well, compared to being chopped up by virus bots, I'm doing better.  But this CRS syndrome is getting old..."
