Re: Battle Strategy Thread

In point of fact, everything S'Krllk stated is paraphrased from Sun Tzu and Von Moltke. His personal preference will still be to run away as fast as possible while trilling like an egg-bearer.

I meant no offense to how or where the info came from...

I think the robots should be a priority too...

Made a HUGE boo-boo.  The Recoiless Rifle requires Projectile Weapons skill.  Any suggestions?

Bartja will take the recoilless rifle.  He's got some projectile weapons skills in addition to his robot skills.

OK, cool!  Sergi stays with Bartja on the R/R.  Desiraye will go and support the robots and the rest of the party.

I've read the battle rules and... I don't quite get it.  I'll try and see if I can formulate some intelligent questions, but if I take too long to post it's because I really don't know what to do. :(

Re: Battle Strategy Thread

OK, how about this so far...

We got Fr'rssky on the Heavy Laser +1 Combot as support

We got Bartja and Sergi on the Rocoiless Rifle +1 Combot as support

Desiraye will lead the rest of the force (PC's and remainder of the Combots) on foot and attempt to assault the cannon and the area, very slowly...

Targets:
1). Cannon
2). Warbots (500 STA)
3). Combat Robots (100 STA)
4). Cybots (100 STA)

Cannon is obviously the main objective.  We can either destroy or capture it.  The Warbots are secondary targets and I'm thinking after one [1] round of our support weapons firing at the cannon, one of the two weapons switches their targets to the big warbots who will be the toughest todestroy by the ground party due to STA and its weapons package.

Anyone got anything else or we go with this?

I'll be honest, I am not following this at all and I don't want to gimp the party with my lack of strategy / combat savvy posts.

When in doubt, you can simply fire from where you are at and have your combots do the same, all concentrated on a single foe.  A couple people doing that will probably help the others focused on a more complicated strategy.

What kind of cover is available for Desiraye and her bots in front of her?

Just pick what you will want to shoot at from the list of different icons on the map.

Desiraye can get to cover under the second embankment.  It's full cover there.  There's not room for both robots though.

I'm fairly "map st00pid" so I'll go with whatever is closest as long as a friendly target isn't nearby / in between.

Sorry, I've read through the threads a few times and I'm just not "getting" it.  Combat is my weakest point and I'm floundering without Lerku.

Don't send the other robot until Desiraye can move up more... I don't want to waste the robots because I think they're decent cover fire those lacking the skill levels right now...

So noted - please tell me (directly, no subtle hints) when to send them in! =)

They are rock formations in the desert sand.

Re: Battle Strategy Thread

We'll use them with whoever has them on them to communicate with each other.  Fr'rssky's got one by our heavy artillery, Desi has one at her most forward post, and the doc has one also bout midway.

Bartja has one on heavy laser.  He keeps his two robots under Desiraye's command and fires at the closest Sathar warbot.
