"Why don't we just take what we need right now.  We need to evaluate what needs to be fixed around here first and I don't think we're going to need the crete sprayer yet.  The grappling gun maybe in case we need it to cross into an area that's damaged like this one.  I think we should travel as light as possible for now to get a SITREP of what we've gotten ourselves into."

OOC: So am I understanding this right?  You are tying the ropes to you one at a time and jumping across?  The key factor to keep in mind is time spent in the cold.

Also, please in your next post put what your chillsuit is set at.  I can keep a running tab in my posts to help keep it straight for everyone.

This is why I have been reading my CAS to determine what the actual temp is...

S'Krllk considers the leap, and decides to leave all but his necessary equipment until he is more certain of crossing the intervening space. While he is checking these things, he'll re-check his chill suit to insure it is set appropriately, and set it at two SEU per hour.

This is why I have been reading my CAS to determine what the actual temp is...

I think I posted it as -55 degrees.

There are no accidents going across.  You all make the 9 foot leap intact.

You get to the door and look at it.  The door into the foyer (A3) from the tunnel is a security door with a level 3 lock.

S'Krllk will approach the lock, but being somewhat paranoid and still wondering why no one is shooting at him, or trying to feed him to a land shark, or something... he'll first check for any alarms or defenses before attempting the door itself. If this permits someone to attempt the door lock ahead of him, then hopefully it will be someone better equipped to handle the technical problems.

Yagrith fishes the note out of his pocket. "Yeah, I wrote them down. There's one for 'security doors,' maybe that will work." He takes a look at the lock to see if there is anywhere to enter the code.

"Otherwise, we'll need someone with technician skill to pick this lock. I'm strictly a robotics and computer monkey."

Yagrith finds a place, punches in the code, but find that it flashes a red light.  Apparently, the security numbers have been changed by someone -- or something.

"Once that door is open, I say we go in hard and fast.  This corridor is a death trap if someone rolls out a frag, or opens up with an automatic weapon.  I'd rather go hand-to-hand than hang out here."

Desiraye nods, "Kuurn brings up a good point.  We don't know who or what are behind these doors.  We also have to be concerned about those Sate things if they're still alive.  If there is something there, we should be ready.  Make sure of your target(s) and beyond.  We've enough problems we have to fix, let's try not to add too much to it.  Let's get 'em out and ready people."  Desiraye draws her laser pistol out and sets the setting to [4] SEU and waits for the door to be opened.
