Kri'lik opens the closed locker.  It contains:

- a bioscanner
- a type 1 parabattery
- grenades for laser turrets (5 doze and 5 tangler)
- 4 laser pistols (each with 20 SEU clip)

Once the door is secure, Desi immediately begins to repair her suit so she can go and try and help Yag back out, hoping that he's still hanging onto the rope.  "I'm coming Yag.  Soon as I patch my suit, I'm coming back for you.  Break.  All readio units, need help at the airlock.  One member down, another in distress!"

Not seeing anything of use Kri'lik picks up the coiled roll of wire and heads for the back door.

I am assuming the door in the back is open as drawn on the map. Hows the wind right there? And do I need a pressure suit or will the chill suit work with the breathing mask, I dont want to go out the door and just die... :)

For now, we'll assume the chillsuit acts as a pressure suit as well.

The door is ajar as shown.  The winds are coming from the door, so going through the door will subject him to the same winds that are causing the others problems.  The robot is not yet aware of Kri'lik's presence either.

Bracing himself at the open doorway, the doctor looks take a peek through the door, hoping to see either the robot, Yag, or neither. Using all his legs to hold him in place, Kri'lik starts to uncoil the wire out through the door. "Desi, can you get to Yag? If not I have access it appears from the other side. I also have a line from which a rescue may be possible. Over?" He yells through the commlink so he can be heard over the sounds of the rushing wind.

Kri'lik successfully gets to the door.  The winds are very strong here, and though he can probably hold himself in place, the chances of him reeling in Yag without better bracing are slim.  (1/2 STR/round for 4 rounds.)

Yag fires but misses the robot.

The robot arrives next to Yag, extending its laser blowtorch.

Desi successfully patches her suit.

Kri'lik finishes spooling the wire out into the damaged room. One end is securely attached via multiple knots and loops around a structural fixture while the other is most likely sucked out the breached hole. A quick glance out the door and the doc sees he or hopefully someone else would only need to go about 6 meters to clear a corner and then hopefully have a clear view of this robot and Yag. Perhaps from that point one could destroy the robot with weapons fire.

I need a body harness or something to help tie me off to the wire, Kri'lik thought. Then he remembers the sling on his laser rifle. Quickly he detaches it from the rifle, loops it around the trailing wire and attaches the clip ends to his belt. A quick test and it seems to hold. Just as he is about to exit the door he remembers. The robot. He then goes back to one of the lockers and grabs two laser pistols, checks their charge and stores them in his belt.

Back at the door he pauses nervously. "I think I've got this. Yag I'm coming!" He says over the open channel. Then slowly, with both hands firmly gripping the wire and his make shift belt harness, he exits the door and enters the winds. It’s not far at all doc, just make it to the corner there, not far at all. Hold on tight.

Once he makes it to the corner he will assess the situation, identify the robot and start shooting at it!

All those moves, however, will take several rounds.  A round is 6 seconds.

Finally able to patch her suit, Desiraye breathes a sigh of relief as she reaches to the holster where her laser pistol was before she let it go out to concentrate on getting in the airlock.  "Yag, Desi.  I just patched my suit.  Is Yag still in there?  Stand by and do what you can from there."  Desiraye rolls over so she can unsling her laser rifle and use it against the robot threatening Yag (hopefully, next round).  She transmits again, "Hold on Yag, I'm coming"

Yes.  She can take one round to quickly tie herself, and one round to prep her weapon and open the airlock. This, of course, leaves Yag exposed for two more rounds.

Im of the understanding that yag is tied off to the rope which is held by the airlock doors? Is this correct? If so if Desi opens the doors Yag goes free...

S'Krllk hears the disaster through the comms, but knows he can do little to help as he makes his way to the scene.

That is what she will do then.

Maybe limited access due to Police & Security Expo in Atlantic City today.  I will be back tomorrow if I don't get to post today.

Just before telling Desi to close the airlock, Yag began tying himself off to another location, so opening the airlock door will only release one end of the rope.  The other will still keep him safely secured.

However, the trick is that he now has 6 feet of rope tied just outside the airlock door, and how will he untie that when he gets back in the airlock before closing the airlock again?  He will have to cut it or close the door on the rope.

So we just need to know what Yag is going to do for the next two rounds until Desi can save him...hopefully.

Yag will spend the next round reloading. He swears and grunts as he tries to reload while avoid the robot' blowtorch.

The round after he will fire three shots at the robot from his gyropistol.

ROUND 12
Yag begins reloading.

The robot tries to hit Yag with its laser torch.  Yag deftly dodges the torch.

The robot also tries to cut the line with its powerful shears.  Yag sees the shears come over the line and know he is about to suffer the same fate as Ospra.  A wind just then buffets Yag, knocking him against the wall and, though injuring him (1 dmg), saving his life from the shears, which snap on thin air.

Yag is beginning to freeze, suffering more from the biting cold. (2 pts dmg).

Desi is getting ready.

ROUND 13
Yag fires his first shot, missing the robot.

The robot comes at Yag, puncturing his suit with the laser torch.  The heat is at once both refreshing...but then it bites with the sting of pain.  Yag is depressurizing and the cold is coming in his suit.  (6 dmg)

Yag fires his second shot.  This one hits the mark, and the robot falls back, then begins rolling.  It crashes against the wall as its spark of life goes out, and then it is swept out the gaping hole.

Desi finishes her prep and opens the door.

ROUND 14
Yag is freezing and injured, but with Desi's help, he gets back into the airlock, and it closes behind them.

You are safe at last.  Kri'lik is still in the storage room.  S'Krllk is moving along the halls still.

Having just got set up to enter the wind swept room Kri'lik hears the crashing sounds of the robot being blown out into the atmosphere. "Whats going on? Im about to go for Yag!"

"Doc!  Get the hell outta there.  I've got Yag," Desi calls over the radio to everyone as she falls to the floor with Yag in tow.  After she catches her breath, she turns to him and says, "Told you I wasn't going to lose anyone else today!  Glad you could hold on!"

Almost hyperventilating after his brush with death, Yag growls and says "I think my fur is frozen."

"Thats Great!" Kri'lik yells back, almost with to much excitment. He quickly braces himself at the open door and begins to pull the wire back into the room. Once that is done he will see if he can close the door.

While pulling the wire in he says, "I found lots of materials her and some empty containers. Tons of pipe as well. Perhaps we can use the pipe to repair the fuel lines to our shuttle?"

Desi begins to laugh at Yag's comments about his fur.  "Could've been a whole lot worse Yag."

Desiraye ques her radio and calls on the radio, "All radios.  We're out.  Doc, we need you ove at the airlock we went out of and good copy onthe pipes to fix the fuel lines.  Will need to figure out how to fix breach in room, Desi out."

"These pipes are in a different room that the one with the breach. Anyways, I closing a door here and then I'll be right over."

Kri'lik gets the rest of the wire pulled into the room, closes the door and then hurries to meet up with Yag and Desi.

Yag continues shivering, hoping to get some medical care.

Desiraye will take out her all-weather blanket and try to wrap as much of Yag up with it as she can until the Doc can get there.
