(Very amusing.)

OOC: I assume he meant "with haste"

To open the cargo door, you will need to push a button.

Re: Aurora 1-1

S'Krllk has been playing rear guard with his magnetic bar, and continues. At the last possible time he'll grab what's left in the locker and head out. Hoping to get the group out faster, he'll suggest "Bigger doors mean we move faster. If we're about to meet death, let's not keep it waiting."

"Might I have the Envirokit?  My training includes extensive Xenobiology studies."

If someone wants to give Hammer a weapon he will take it.

He keeps a distance from S'krllk because out of concern that the magnetic rod might further injure him.

Re: Aurora 1-1

Desi looks in the locker & is a little disappointed but, it's more than what they have so far.  She slings the laser rifle and secures the beltpack around her waist and then two frag grenades attached to the belt.  "Nothing gets left behind, take everything!"

Re: Aurora 1-1

Seeing whats in the locker Doctor Kri'lik ejects the empty SEU clip from his laser pistol and attaches it to the remaining beltpack and places it around his waist. He then grabs the navicom and secures it to his forearm. As the other Vrusk comes up to the locker the professor helps to load him up with the remaining gear (techkit, needler pistol, chronocoms, everflames) and lastly grab the medkit for himself.

OOC: I'll assume you guys are gathering all the stuff and will divvy it up shortly, but indicate what you will want so that will go quickly and smoothly.

That said, I'm not sure if you are going through the doors or up the stairs...

Bartja presses the button to open the door into the cargo area, then continues to lounge in the doorway while the locker is emptied of gear.  He examines the gyrojet clip for a moment as he waits, wondering if there might be a nuke round plugged in there somewhere...

"Agreed!  Let's get off this self-aware mechanical nightmare."

Re: Aurora 1-1

Bartja opens the door and stands in the way.  A voice over the intercom states, "Please move out of the doorway.  Standing in front of a door sensor could get you harmed."

Everyone else grabs the stuff they find and heads through the door.

Through your headsets, you hear the general come on.  "We're approaching the bridge.  It's heavily guarded.  This may take awhile.  Make sure you get to the escape pods."

As you walk, the corridor branches again.  You find yourself following the sign for the escape pods until you reach another large set of double doors.

Above the doors is a sign that reads:

"Escape Pod Garage Access"

To the left of the closed doors, metal stairs rise.  An arrow pointing up the stairs reads:  "Escape Pod Maintenance Access"

You hear behind you the sound of metal on the floors.  Robots are coming and will reach you in 30 seconds.

OOC: Feel free to determine who has what weapon.  We will consider those decisions made while you were moving down the corridors.

Re: Aurora 1-1

Bartja looked longingly at the doors, then at the gyrojet rifle.  The sound of robots approaching gave him an idea.

"I'm more effective with tools than guns.  Who wants to use this?" he asks, holding out the rifle with clip installed.  There were only three weapons in that locker and Bartja was certainly no expert with any of them.

Re: Aurora 1-1

Bartja jacks rounds into the chambers and hands Hammer the gyrojet rifle with the 10-round clip inserted as the Mechanon passes by him through the door.  "Just until I can fix your internal laser, now that I've got a real toolkit!" he says in a message communicated internally through a radio link.  He's only half-joking.  Mechanon technology was not totally foreign to Bartja and Hammer might be inclined to trust his knowledge a little more if he could only look inside and see what make of bionics Bartja was sporting...

Desiraye gets on the chronocom to the General, "General, we're at a point bythe escape pods that says, 'Escape Pod Garage Access', are we in the right place?  We got robots coming at us now."

The general pauses a moment.  "The garage access," he says, and you hear shooting in the background, "is where the pods can be accessed directly.  The maintenance corridor lets people access them from above and has a railing overlooking the garage.  Sounds like you made it.  Good luck."

"Copy that General.  Good luck to you and the El-Tee," Desiraye says and turns to the rest of the group.  "Looks like we're in the right place.  Now would be a good time to get us out of here.  I don't like leaving them behind but, what choice do we have?"

Re: Aurora 1-1

OOC:  Not sure what happened - my post has not....posted that is.

Carrying the toolkit more comfortably now, Bartja scurries along with the others to the escape pods, keeping a wary eye on the walkway above.  It was a precarious position to give the high ground to the potential enemy, but he didn't see a faster way to leave this self-destructive hunk of alloy.  If robots appeared above, he would just have to do his best to duck and dodge until an escape pod door sealed away their fire.

Hopefully, his fears were unfounded...

"Thanks."
Hammer follows the group, now armed with a GyroJet rifle & ammo.
1 gyrojet rifle  + 1 gyrojet rifle jetclip (10 shots)

Hammer waits for someone else to start firing before he starts firing.

Hammer keeps an eye out for somewhere they might lock the doors behind them
as they make their run.

"C'mon, c'mon people!  Let's get into the shuttle's and get out of here," Desisays with her laser rifle pointed to where the robots were heard coming from behind them.  She holds her fire until fired upon.
